Chapter 51: Developments of All Parties

The dissolution of the roots marked the departure of the self.

Let Konoha return to the same Konoha it once was.

There is no longer a Uchiha garrison, and the Hyuga clan has taken over the responsibilities of village security.

Many people didn't even notice that all the Uchiha-run restaurants on Eighth Street in Konoha, especially catering-related ones, had quietly closed for renovations.

Meanwhile, fragmented reports are coming from the Land of Water.

The strongest bloodline clan in the nation, the Yuki Clan, attempted to assassinate the Fourth Mizukage, Yagura, less than four generations ago.

Although the attempt failed, Yagura was seriously injured and vanished from public view.

What followed was a brutal purge of the various bloodline clans in the Land of Water.

Many ninjas from Kirigakure began to flee.

However, because the Land of Water is isolated and has closed itself off, very little news makes it out.

What truly happened in Kirigakure remains unclear to the outside world.

In Sunagakure, the Fourth Kazekage, Rasa, had taken office hastily during the Third Great Ninja War and lacked a stable foundation.

Yet, after the war, he solidified his rule through his abilities and worked hard to improve the village's economy.

He generated significant revenue by utilizing his magnetic bloodline to pan for gold in the desert.

This influx of wealth brought Sunagakure into a period of steady development.

In Amegakure, a village at the intersection of several countries, Hanzo the Salamander had grown old, lost his will to fight, and indulged in luxury.

He was ultimately killed by Nagato, after which the village came under Nagato's rule.

In Iwagakure, the genius boy Deidara eventually became a rogue ninja due to his rebellious nature.

Iwagakure struggled without unity, with only Ōnoki holding things together.

Natsuki shifted his attention to supporting the Uchiha businesses.

Initially, when he encouraged the civilian Uchiha to switch their professions, he faced considerable resistance.

But once Natsuki demonstrated his culinary skills and invited everyone for a meal, they were immediately won over by the Chinese cuisine.

The unique preparation methods and the explosion of flavors captivated their taste buds, turning them into loyal followers of Chinese food.

Natsuki had already drawn up renovation plans and distributed them among the Uchiha restaurant owners.

His focus then turned to communicating with Orochimaru.

Using a night-summoning beast, he delivered messages daily.

Initially, these included reports from Itachi and Shisui, but later evolved into deep discussions with Orochimaru.

Natsuki had high expectations for Orochimaru, the most brilliant scientist in the ninja world.

Many of his plans relied heavily on Orochimaru's support.

He even shared information that wasn't in his original plan—about the major changes that would shake the ninja world in a few years.

Orochimaru, upon hearing this, became even more obsessed with his research.

He abandoned interest in managing the Sound Village, leaving it to capable hands.

With the addition of elite Uchiha members, the Sound Village transformed overnight.

Their mission completion rate surged, surpassing all minor ninja villages and even rivaling the five great nations.

Villages like Amegakure, Takigakure, and Kusagakure fell far behind.

Under the scrutiny of other ninja villages, it quickly became known that many Uchiha had joined the Sound Village, without even attempting to hide it.

This shocked the world, especially when Konoha showed no response at all, treating it as though it didn't matter.

Even more surprising was that, despite their numbers, the Uchiha did not attempt to seize power.

They simply carried out their duties quietly and professionally.

Of course, Natsuki wasn't surprised—these Uchiha elites had long been under the control of Kotoamatsukami.

They would follow orders without hesitation, even if it meant taking their own lives.

Meanwhile, Natsuki poured his energy into renovating Eighth Street in Konoha.

Having once invited the Uchiha civilian owners for a tasting event, he gained confidence in the power of Chinese cuisine.

The process accelerated rapidly, and within two months, a sign reading "Foreign Cuisine" hung above every Uchiha-owned shop along Eighth Street.

As soon as the shops opened, they became a sensation throughout the village.

People flooded in to taste the food.

Each Uchiha restaurant offered different specialties—hot dry noodles, meat buns, crayfish, rice noodles, snail noodles, and more.

You could eat from one end of the street to the other without repeating a dish.

Their exclusive preparation methods and secret ingredients made it impossible for others to copy them.

Other restaurants in Konoha were quickly put out of business, many being forced to switch trades.

At the same time, Natsuki expanded operations to the Land of Rice Fields.

He submitted a much larger business plan that even impressed Orochimaru.

After all, conducting medical experiments required immense funding.

While ninjutsu development didn't demand much at first, Natsuki's plans—enhancing himself and researching Sharingan evolution—needed vast amounts of capital.

Luckily, Orochimaru had long infiltrated the Land of Rice Fields, and the daimyo was under his control.

With the daimyo's backing, a series of "Foreign Cuisine" restaurants quickly spread throughout the country.

Initially, local restaurant owners thought the daimyo was insane for investing in such an unfamiliar venture.

But soon they were proven wrong.

The chain stores offered a dazzling array of meals, desserts, and snacks, like a gust of wind wiping out all local competitors.

In terms of main dishes, traditional local foods couldn't compare to the colorful and rich diversity of Chinese cuisine.

In desserts, the variety of pastries and beverages overwhelmed the senses.

As for snacks, they were downright irresistible—skewers, hot and sour noodles, hot dry noodles, buns, crayfish, rice cakes, pancakes, sweet fruits, and crispy meat dishes.

In no time, local restaurant owners were left dumbfounded.

While they scrambled for ideas, the Chinese Cuisine chain launched a new initiative—the franchise model.

Any restaurant owner could pay a fee to receive technical support and training in the preparation of exclusive dishes.

At first, no one dared to try it.

But once a few bold entrepreneurs took the risk and joined, they quickly recovered their costs and made huge profits.

Other owners couldn't sit still anymore. They rushed in, waving their money, eager to join the brand.

From the Land of Rice Fields, the wave of Foreign Cuisine began spreading to the surrounding nations.

Over a Year Later…

Eighth Street in Konoha had become the village's most prosperous area.

One key reason for this was the rise of the Uchiha's Foreign Cuisine empire.

Most villagers had never even heard of, let alone tasted, these dishes before.

But after one try, they were hooked by this out-of-this-world culinary experience.

Keen observers noticed that the chain of restaurants appeared in both Konoha and the Land of Rice Fields around the same time.

The mastermind behind it all was undoubtedly the Uchiha clan.

In time, the Uchiha became the wealthiest family in the ninja world.

Meanwhile, Naruto and Sasuke had been attending the academy for nearly two years.

Naruto's academic performance remained average at best, though his physical prowess was decent.

His weakest area was chakra control and application.

Recently, the academy began teaching Transformation Jutsu, and Naruto consistently ranked at the bottom of the class.

Supported daily by Natsuki and Sasuke, Naruto's growth caught the attention of the Third Hokage.

Sensing a potential threat, the Hokage raised Naruto's monthly allowance several times.

Anyone who targeted Naruto was harshly punished.

He feared that Naruto would one day be taken under Natsuki's wing.

This also led to Kakashi being sent to build a bond with Naruto.

Unfortunately, Kakashi was often away on missions, so their relationship remained shallow.

By contrast, Naruto's bond with Sasuke and Natsuki was much stronger and more natural.
