**[Harry Potter]**
"….and then you will have to actually meet our Satans if you want to sell in the underworld… are you even listening to me??!" Kuisha stopped talking and asked when she finally noticed Sairoarg and me not paying attention to what she was saying.
We were lounging around, drinking and eating snacks, and relaxing because Kuisha started ranting on and on about the procedures, protocols, and all that crap, while I didn't actually care about it.
"No, actually, we are not. All this nonsense is for you to take care of; my part of this deal is to provide the potions, yours is to take care of the rest and get me my payment. You get all the fame, and I get peace of mind. It's that simple," I explained calmly, with Sairoarg nodding his head like a wise sage beside me.
"Ugh!! You two are unbelievable!!!! Come on, Sai, we are leaving." Kuisha stomped the ground as she let out a frustrated sigh and turned around, ready to leave.
I don't know what she was expecting. I already have a tacit understanding with Sairoarg about these things; he knows I don't care about this, so he doesn't talk about it—plus, I have a devil phone, so I can find everything about these policies there if I wanted to.
"So what kind of books do you want this time?" Sairoarg asked me as he stood up, tidying his clothes and readying himself to catch up with his queen.
"Everything you have about magic circles that isn't basic," I replied as I handed him another sample of the potions, knowing full well that the first batch of samples Kuisha took was going down the drain. She's going to ignore what I said about scanning the potions and waste them in her stubbornness.
"Sure, I'll have one of my peerage members come by tomorrow evening to drop off the books," he informed me as he walked out of my house, straight to the lone magical circle that was glowing on the ground.
'I should tell Sairoarg to come alone next time,' I thought, remembering how quickly things get done when it's just him and me. I already told him what I wanted from this deal while Kuisha was raving on and on about the clauses and such.
What I want is simple: he would get the potions to do with as he pleases; all he has to do is supply me with books and tell people that his contracted magician—Harry Potter—was the one who created the potions.
I wasn't his contracted magician or anything; I just wanted my name to be known for when I actually do something worthwhile. These basic potions were nothing groundbreaking, considering they were created with common herbs.
Now I just have to wait for the new books and continue doing what I am doing, because starting next month, there'll be some pretty interesting things.
**x_**
It has been three weeks since my latest deal with Sairoarg started. I have already gotten the books I wanted, and a lot more.
The potions had more impact than I anticipated, if the reactions on the Devilnet are anything to go by, especially with how Sairoarg went about the whole thing.
He didn't go the traditional way; he didn't use shops for sales. Instead, he just announced it on his DevilTime account and created a website for orders.
I, on the other hand, worked on making the production an automatic process, where golems harvest the herbs from my backyard greenhouse, put them into the huge cauldron that was engraved with the alchemical circles, collect the potion vials, and sort them for transport.
After that, it was just me working on accelerating the plant growth in my greenhouse to keep up with the orders, and studying different magical circles, their differences, etc.
If someone asked me, "Why are you studying magical circles when you can be studying anything else, like the devil traits, their old contracts that allowed them to claim the souls of humans, the Sacred Gears, the sealing arts that allowed YHWH to seal dragons inside his little artifacts, or anything else really?" The answer is actually quite simple: I saw a photo of the Kankara Formula that Ajuka is using to manipulate reality, and that got me hooked.
It was such a fascinating thing that I couldn't help wanting to create something similar. And to do that, I have to understand and analyze different circles and formulas.
Magical circles for the most part work as hardware that helps the caster perform magic more efficiently; that's why most old devil houses have their circles passed down from generation to generation.
Their circles were gifted to them by Lilith when they were first created, passed down via blood and magic much like their clan traits—They were created by the first demoness—the one that ate the Fruit of Knowledge. That's also why these circles work as identification for old devils.
Anyway, the Kankara Formula, on the other hand, is like more advanced, futuristic hardware-software that comes with a built-in VI (Virtual Intelligence). It makes sure that there's no mana leakage, cutting the cost of spells by nearly 99%, and is very helpful for analysis spells.
Still, there's a reason no one has managed to use it yet, despite it being public knowledge. It's because of the toll it puts on the caster's brain just to activate it, combined with the very advanced knowledge needed to meet the basic requirements for using it.
I, on the other hand, don't need to use it as-is; I just needed to reverse-engineer the principles behind creating magical circles and this formula to create my own version of it—a circle that is compatible with my unique brand of magic and any new aspects or concepts I add in the future. With the Kankara Formula's self-updating feature, my magic circle will be epic.
Other than that, I didn't do much these past few weeks. I just took care of my daughter, started actually training my natural energy and domain, along with creating plans for accelerating the speed of the purification.
So far, I only came up with the idea of creating alchemically modified trees that work as a filter for natural energy and feed on corruption, but creating such a thing has obvious consequences. Like: How much corruption can a tree take? How would they process it? How can I prevent sociopaths from using them to start an apocalypse and stuff like that?
Nevertheless, I made some very good progress in this regard, and now I just need to actually get my hands on some old devil contracts to study so that I can figure out if the last step of my plan is viable.
What's this step, you ask? Well, I was going to try and actually communicate with the world itself, trying to make a deal with it to make sure that these trees can't be used by anyone. It's a crazy plan, I know, but it's necessary because if a crazy psychopath decided to mess with these trees and make them do the opposite, these trees could turn into an apocalypse-level threat. So yeah, I need to be a little bit crazy.
