Max Thinking Ming uses power from certain creatures in order to move places without notice. Any certain creatures that can teleport, carry other people in their embrace until they arrive at the destination. But there are significant consequences if using those creatures. They will ask for something valuable from humans.
If that is true, then there will be a bright reason as to why there is a third victim at the villa and also how the murder weapon could have vanished from the place.
If that’s true… the third victim may be someone very close to Ming, but that person can be sacrificed by that woman at any time. Max walked quickly towards the detention cell. Yeri and Wantar are following him. Meanwhile, Teguh casually returns to the interrogation room to prepare the investigation area. Davis has gone home without making a fuss.
Amids the commotion, Jason received a phone call from his superiors. Jason is looking for a quiet place. On the balcony. The wind hit Jason’s gray shirt that he didn’t have time to iron. Jason listened seriously to his superior explanation.
“What!?” Jason shouted at the caller.
He clutched the balcony railing. “Why should we hand it over? This is our case, why should they… those mysterious organizations interfree?!”
“Because this case is beyond your team’s capability, Jason!” The man shouted to wake Jason up. Then he hung up the phone firmly. “They are on their way!”
Jason slammed the balcony railing. He was fed up with the order to hand over the suspect to another party. This is not the first time.
Jason stared far ahead. Organizing the information he had. Jason thought there was no other way, if he wanted to know more, the investigation process had to be expedited before the people from the ministry arrived.
“Damn! Mantis!” Jason is angry alone. No one hears him shout.
After dealing with his anger, he went back inside, joining Teguh.
Teguh closely observed his captain’s face. It looked stern. His subconscious immediately sensed that something was wrong. “Any problem, captain?”
In the next room, Ming is already sitting quietly in front of Max. Next to Max, is Yuri.
“Where is Wantar?” Jason ask.
“She returned to check the evidence,” answered Teguh.
Jason then asked for the mic to be turned on.
“Max…,” Jason called.
Teguh listened with his gaze fixed on Jason’s every move. Anxious, in a hurry chased by something.
Max turned to the one way mirror. Even though he couldn’t see Jason and Teguh who were in that room, he knew Jason was calling him from the small room behind the glass. Yuri, who was also wearing earphones, could hear Jason’s voice too. She listened attentively.
“Listen,” Jason said with emphasis. “You have to force her to say everything. Mantis is on their way here.”
Now, Teguh realized what was causing Jason’s tense irritation. Everyone who heard the information was shocked, but they tried to stay calm.
“Is that what you got from the superior?” Teguh guessed who had given the order. Jason nodded. They had heard many rumors about Mantis and both disliked them.
Yuri unconsciously clenched her teeth. Max glared sharply at Ming, who was looking down. Look like a zombie. She refused to eat for a few days.
“Mantis… that organization is funded by D’kingdom, which means the case is strongly related to them,” Teguh whispered.
His lips were close to the mic, so Max and Yuri heard the whisper. She also glared sharply at Ming.
“Let’s just start. Before they take her from us,” Yuri said firmly.
“Clearly, we will lose this case,” said Jason.
Max pulled out a chair. Sitting comfortably but his blood boiled. Staring sharply at Ming.
“Let’s continue our previous conversation,” said Max.
Ming slowly lifted her face while giving a strange smile.
Seeing her odd smile, Yuri felt a chill run through his entire body. Max tensed. He saw sings of the emergence of a spirit. However, he could not believe that the spirit appeared right in front of his eyes and he had not realized its presence until now. “Living with humans seems to dull your senses.”
Max remained silent with a tense face. He was unwilling to admit that he had become that weak.
Ming’s voice changed completely. Her vocal cords seemed filled with mucus. Every time she spoke, there was a foul of odor.
Yuri covered her nose in confusion. She alternated her gaze between Max and Ming. She noticed an unusual tension from Max. She also didn’t see Ming’s lips move to speak but heard a horse voice that sent shivers down her spine.
Slowly, the temperature in the room changed. A cold breeze spread. Not from the air conditioning, but coming from the out of nowhere.
Yuri felt increasingly cold.
Teguh and Jason observed the oddity. The voice of their superior echoed in Jason’s head, ‘This case is beyond your team’s ability, Jason!’
No way! Jason exclaimed in his mind.
The phone rang again. Jason picked it up while panicked.
Meanwhile, the silence and strangenes in the investigation room froze into one. Max’s body leaned forward, trying to see Ming’s eyes more clearly. But, his gaze was blocked by the bangs that covered Ming’s eyes.
“You didn’t even realize my presence from the begining,” said Ming, but almost not Ming.
At the same time, Jason received news from the head of the forensic team.
“You won’t believe this, Jason. We excluded Ming from the search for human remains found at the crime scene. But then we considered one strange possibility. The test results indicated that the previously unidentified human remains are…” Jason turned to Ming. His ear hear the head of the forensic team said, that unidentified human remains are Ming’s body.
His eyes widened sharply. His whole body shivered. It felt like the blood drained from his body instantly.
Ming changed shape. There was something moving his veins.
“The body tissue we found matches Ming’s DNA!”
The forensic team chief’s remarks were not surprising to Jason because something in front of his eyes was more terrifying. Now, whatever it was, Ming had already divided herself in order to experience the terrible changes she was seeing. Ming surrender her soul and body to the devil.
Ming’s bangs were pulled up. Her eyeballs slowly blackened. The skin of the Ming’s neck moved slowly, revealing something to take over the entire Ming bloodstream. A cracking sound arose, Ming’s bones broke and resumed. The fingernalis of Ming’s fingernalis turned back.
Along with extreme physical changes. The temperature in the room dropped drastically. Ming growled. More ferocious than any wild animal. The handcuffs on his hands broke loose when Ming’s wrist snapped and dramatically reconnected.
Yuri screamed at the inhuman transformation. Then she fainted. Max caught Yuri. He looked for a way to get her out of there. Max had no choice but to break a one-way glass.
Refrexively, Jason and Teguh dodged. They survived the glass shards. Max handed Yuri to Teguh and and Jason.
Jason and Teguh hurried outside. Teguh carried Yuri.
Wantar, in other way, sensing something was wrong in the interrogation room. She ran, in halfway to the investigation room, she finding Yuri already on Teguh’s back. Teguh, somehow, split from Jason. Anything around him is chaos. Every light and window glass shattered. People panicked and ran outside, thinking there was a massive earthquake. People were shocked and ran to save themselves.
Wantar automatically followed Teguh, running out the building, taking a car, and taking Yuri to the hospital. Whatever force was terrorizing the entire building.
