"Hello! You made it!"
Hikaru heard a girl's voice calling out. He looked around and then at Jaden Yuki.
"Where?"
"Right in front of you!"
"Ah, looks like you still can't see me yet~" the girl's voice continued. "But soon, you will, right?"
Hikaru nodded.
He could vaguely sense something in front of him, but unfortunately, he could still only hear the Duel Spirit's voice, he couldn't see her without a full materialization.
"First, let me apologize~ Sorry, sorry!" Hikaru could almost visualize a golden-haired beauty clasping her hands together apologetically. "Anyway, you probably know why I'm here, right?"
Hikaru glanced at Jaden, who spread his hands innocently.
"Ah, seriously, so slow—Chaos Warrior, Chaos Warrior!"
"Ah! You're here on behalf of Chaos Warrior!" Jaden's eyes lit up. "Ooh!! Does that mean we can go back again?"
"It's Chaos Warrior who asked me to deliver something~~"
Seeing Jaden completely miss the point, Dark Magician Girl couldn't hold it in anymore, she waved her staff and drew a glowing bridge in the air. A card floated down gently in front of Hikaru.
"Haha, isn't this that guy?!"
"Hahaha, we thought he'd forgotten!"
Hikaru heard Flame Swordsman and Dark Flare Knight's voices, growing even more curious. He reached out and caught the card, taking a closer look.
'Holy Shit!?'
'Chaos Warrior!?'
It wasn't some variation not some fancy edition, just plain "Chaos Warrior!"
Level 8, Warrior-Type, EARTH Attribute, Ritual Monster!
Hikaru held the card in a daze.
"Master, it's Gaia! Gaia!"
"Gaia? Oh—" Jaden caught on.
"Gaia? You mean, that Dark Knight Gaia we once tag dueled against alongside Avian?" Hikaru stared at the card. "He actually evolved into a Chaos Warrior?"
"Bingo!" Dark Magician Girl chirped. "After you defeated him, he worked super hard to correct his ways and, with the help of a LIGHT Spirit, completed the Chaos Ritual.
Though I heard he's still challenging himself and plans to personally apologize and follow you once he completes his final trial." She tipped her hat with her wand.
Hikaru nodded slightly.
Even without a Ritual Spell, even if he had nowhere and no way to use it, he still felt Gaia's sincerity.
"And now onto the next thing." Dark Magician Girl floated in midair, pulling out two more cards. "Coordinates for two worlds. Each of you, take one."
Hikaru and Jaden each received a card.
"From Chaos Warrior," she explained.
First, pointing at Jaden, "This one leads to a dimension where a FIRE Attribute heroine resides."
"Ah! Burstinatrix!" Avian burst out excitedly. "Jaden, we—"
"Quiet, go squat over there!" Captain Gold booted him away.
"Ahaha..." Jaden scratched his face awkwardly. "Thanks a lot!"
Who would have thought that the silent, fair Chaos Warrior would be so thoughtful?
"As for yours..." Dark Magician Girl smiled sheepishly, tapping her wand against her head. "I was supposed to deliver it earlier, but I got distracted by the festival and forgot.
This is the coordinates to the 'Village of Spellcasters. ' Think of it as compensation! Please don't tell Chaos Warrior I forgot, okay? If you don't answer, I'll assume you agreed!"
"Also, as for the reward for losing our duel, of course, I know the rules!" She flashed another card and dramatically signed it.
"Ta-da! Super, ultra awesome card, Dark Magician Girl the Dragon Knight! This is a one-of-a-kind card that only I have! Don't lose it!"
"Whoa, what's that? I've never heard of it!" Jaden's eyes gleamed as staring at the Fusion Monster.
The card artwork depicted Dark Magician Girl in silver-white armor, wielding a sword and shield, riding a dragon Jaden had never seen before!
Dark Magician Girl the Dragon Knight!
A form that could only be Special Summoned via Fusion Summon or Eye of Timaeus, exclusive to Dark Magician Girl!
A powerful Fusion Monster in this era.
Regrettably, Super Polymerization hadn't yet allowed Hikaru to create the "Legendary Dragons" level cards. At least for now, he couldn't summon "Legendary Unnamed Dragon" level cards yet, probably because his Spirit power wasn't strong enough.
Still, this card's strength was already high enough, an unexpected gift Hikaru was very satisfied with.
After finishing her deliveries, Dark Magician Girl happily left.
She couldn't stay in the human world too long, if Seto Kaiba noticed her, things would get messy. Better to escape quickly before being tracked and scolded by her master.
She opened a magic portal and disappeared from the world.
"Too bad," Jaden said, scratching his head after she left. "Looks like we won't be able to explore other worlds together during the break."
He had to go search for his friends and couldn't travel to the Village of Spellcasters with Hikaru.
"That's normal," Hikaru smiled. "After all, time and energy are limited."
Meanwhile.
"Celina was discovered by Crowler and brought into the girls' dorm?" Leo Akaba seemed unfazed by the report after returning from another world.
He chuckled.
'Crowler, you really think that capturing my "daughter" would make me flinch?'
'You have no idea what I'm planning.'
Right then, he felt he'd intellectually triumphed over Crowler.
Where Celina was didn't matter. What mattered was that she lived somewhere he could monitor.
Crowler thought he'd uncovered some secret that would force him into a corner? Naive.
He couldn't care less about such things!
What mattered more was Celina calling Amagi Hikaru "Master," damaging the Fusion Army's prestige.
Still, that could be used in another way. Playing politics over Celina would be a good cover for his real intentions.
Also.
"This Syrus Truesdale, he's Zane Truesdale's younger brother?" Leo Akaba read the file.
"Yes! He joined our Fusion Army some time ago," the Ra Yellow representative said. "Right after Amagi Hikaru stole the Fusion name."
"His performance today was outstanding!" Fusion Army members who were supposed to "protect" Celina eagerly chimed in. "First, he convinced the female duelist to participate, then he subtly guided the crowd to pressure Hikaru, even making remarks like, 'Peeking at a girl's secrets is wrong!' to embarrass him!"
"Unfortunately… we didn't coordinate well enough to make Hikaru slip. We await punishment!"
"Interesting. Zane's brother siding with us at such a time?" Kanbayashi Kaname frowned.
At the time, Syrus had seen how badly the Fusion Army was losing, wanted to change himself, and following Hikaru's advice, joined. He figured it would be good mental training in such a crazy environment and trusted Hikaru to save him if needed.
Plus, it was just a club; no big deal.
"Why would a spy outperform our own members?" Leo Akaba shook his head.
"Hehehe, I see now. No wonder we hadn't heard much about him before. Probably overshadowed by his brother, maybe he secretly resents Zane and finally saw an opportunity."
An idea blossomed in Leo Akaba's mind.
Since Hikaru had dealt the Fusion Army such a heavy blow, he could do what Crowler did, create a new "idol" for the Fusion Army!
Syrus Truesdale: ambitious, capable, Zane's brother- perfect material!
Once other students learned that "Kaiser's" own brother joined the Fusion Army, wouldn't they flock in droves?
