Xiao Wu walked up to Ao Tian, hands behind her back, tilting her head, staring at Ao Tian's face without blinking.
Ao Tian couldn't help touching his own face and asked, "Is there a flower on my face?"
Xiao Wu giggled, "You talk funny, and you're good-looking. You're the best-looking human I've ever seen."
Ao Tian teased, "Saying it like that—are you not human?"
Xiao Wu was stunned for a moment, then stuck out her little pink tongue and replied, "You're the one who's not human."
Then she asked, "Are you here to enroll too?"
Ao Tian nodded, "Just registered, heading to the dorm."
At that moment, Director Su finished handling Xiao Wu's paperwork and said, "Xiao Wu, come get your things."
Xiao Wu turned around and skipped over to Director Su, taking the uniform.
Director Su smiled, "Perfect. You're both working students and staying in Dorm 7. Head over together. From now on, you're classmates—help each other out, got it?"
"Got it, Grandpa." Xiao Wu answered sweetly.
Ao Tian just nodded slightly.
As he was about to leave, Director Su called out again, "Oh right, Ao Tian, don't get into a fight with Tang San. Otherwise, you'll get a demerit and your parents will be notified."
Ao Tian paused but didn't look back, "I won't make the first move."
With that, he carried the uniform and walked out of the office.
Xiao Wu quickly followed.
"That kid really has personality," Director Su shook his head and smiled.
"Hey, wait for me!" Xiao Wu shouted from behind, chasing after him with her uniform in her arms.
Ao Tian didn't slow down and only gave her a brief glance.
This little girl might've been dressed simply, but her features were delicate and doll-like—adorably cute, like a porcelain doll. A natural beauty in the making.
Especially that long braid of hers, swinging back and forth with each step, occasionally tapping her hips—quite a signature look.
"Your name's Ao Tian?" Xiao Wu looked sideways at his face; she had just heard Director Su call his name.
She noticed even his side profile looked stunning—it was oddly pleasing to look at.
Ao Tian just gave a low "Mm."
"Since we're in the same dorm, why don't we walk together?" Xiao Wu offered.
Another soft "Mm." from Ao Tian.
"Do you even know the way to the dorms?" Xiao Wu asked.
"Yes."
This campus was too small for Ao Tian. He didn't even need to use divine sense—his gaze pierced through all obstacles. He saw the dorm building, saw Dorm 7, and even spotted Tang San brawling with another roommate.
Ao Tian remembered the rule of the working student dorms: whoever could fight best became the dorm leader.
The leader was expected to stand up for the other working students, so naturally, strength determined leadership.
Seeing that Ao Tian didn't talk much, Xiao Wu couldn't help but say, "Did you skip breakfast or what? Why are your sentences all one or two words?"
"I ate." Ao Tian replied.
"…" (Xiao Wu speechless.)
Ever energetic, Xiao Wu quickly asked, "So who's this Tang San? Why do you need to fight him?"
"He's a new student too. Same dorm as us. We had a small conflict earlier." Ao Tian answered.
"No worries," Xiao Wu raised her hand and pounded her chest with a thud-thud, "Since you're taking me to the dorm, I'll help you beat him up."
"No need." Ao Tian glanced at her and shook his head.
"You looking down on me?" Xiao Wu glared at him, "Don't listen to that old man back there saying Rabbit Martial Souls aren't strong. I'm great at fighting—you might not even be able to beat me!"
"Alright then, I'll leave it to you." Ao Tian said.
"That makes us friends now! You're my first friend!" Xiao Wu beamed excitedly.
For some reason, from the first moment she saw Ao Tian, she had a good feeling about him.
By now, the academy was bustling with returning students. As soon as people saw Ao Tian and Xiao Wu, their attention locked in—pointing and whispering.
Xiao Wu noticed too and asked, "Why are they talking about us?"
"They're talking about me." Ao Tian replied.
"Why?" Xiao Wu asked.
"Because I'm good-looking."
Xiao Wu looked enlightened, "I think so too."
Then she added, "But I'm not bad-looking either. Why aren't they talking about me?"
"They are—just not as much."
"…" (Xiao Wu suffers critical hit.)
Before long, they arrived at the dorm building.
Ao Tian didn't even ask for directions and walked straight toward Dorm 7.
"Hey, Ao Tian, have you been here before?" Xiao Wu asked curiously.
"Nope."
"Then how do you know your way around?"
Ao Tian didn't answer. He simply pointed to a room at the end of the hall, "That's Dorm 7."
"I'm going to check it out first!" Xiao Wu called out, hugging her uniform and dashing over.
Ao Tian shook his head with a smile, thinking, "I wonder if this girl will end up fighting Tang San for a bed too?"
He felt that he had unknowingly won Xiao Wu's friendship in advance. Maybe she'd choose him over Tang San.
"Now this is getting interesting. I'm kind of looking forward to it," Ao Tian smirked and quickly followed.
Xiao Wu arrived at the dorm door and politely asked, "Excuse me, is this Dorm 7?"
All the boys inside looked out—and their eyes went wide.
The little girl at the door was the prettiest they'd ever seen.
Some of the older boys started drooling slightly, unable to help themselves.
The working student dorms were all boys—and it had been forever since they'd seen a girl, let alone one this pretty. No wonder they were flustered.
The oldest one, Wang Sheng, quickly said, "Yes, yes, this is Dorm 7."
Many of the boys began getting excited.
"Hi everyone! I'm Xiao Wu, the 'Wu' from dancing!" Xiao Wu said sweetly.
"Hello!"
"Hi there!"
The boys responded one after another.
Even the usually composed Tang San couldn't help but glance at Xiao Wu a few more times—he had to admit, the girl was adorable.
Just then, Ao Tian arrived behind Xiao Wu, and everyone's attention instantly shifted.
"Hissss…"
A collective gasp echoed through the room.
"How can someone be this handsome?" someone muttered, their voice dripping with envy and jealousy.
Those who just wanted to cozy up to Xiao Wu suddenly lost all confidence upon seeing Ao Tian.
Tang San's expression changed slightly. Earlier, Ao Tian got lucky because a teacher stepped in.
But here? No such luck.
Perfect chance to use the dorm's rules to teach Ao Tian a lesson. Arrogant kids like him needed to be beat down—otherwise, they'd grow up to be a real menace.
Before Ao Tian and Xiao Wu showed up, Tang San had already defeated the previous strongest student, Wang Sheng, and become dorm boss.
Wang Sheng nudged Tang San and whispered, "Boss, it's your cue. Show them who's in charge."
Tang San nodded and stepped forward.
