Chapter 4

Chapter LI: The Joker

In a low-light room, a blanket-covered guy sleeps. And that guy would be Enmei. The alarm clock rings and he gets up to go to school by riding his motorcycle. As he rides, flashbacks then come running in. During their junior high school, he would sleep during classes and sometimes don't focus on lessons and play mobile games. He joined Toshiro's squad since he was into playing games and when he joined the Levites, he couldn't catch up with the other squad. Toshiro asked him if he still wants to join but he can't. In the 2nd year, he got seated with Kota. At that time, Kota saw his little trick. A teacher then saw this and think it was Kota. When the pandemic erupted, something came to him about his recent doings in the past. So he made it up with Kota since he was stealing information from him.

Back when he was hanging out with the Kota squad with Tengen, he found cringe if Tengen and Hanako are together. Since Hanako is Enmei's cousin, she would tell him about it just a bit while to Asahi was about the whole information itself. The flashback then ends as he almost gets hit by truck.

Right after their class, he walks to his motorcycle but Hanako stops him.

"Hey cous, can we go to the bookstore, I have something to buy there." (Hanako)

"Umm, sorry but I need to help mom in the shop and at the house. What if call Asahi instead?" (Enmei)

"He can't go, he and Natsuki are going to the café" (Hanako)

"How about Kota?" (Enmei)

"Hmm, ask him" (Hanako)

Enmei then sighs. He calls on Kota from afar who is with Akiko.

"Hey dude, do you have somewhere to go?" (Enmei)

"Hmm, maybe." (Kota)

"Can you go with Hanako to the bookstore?" (Enmei)

"I-uh-umm" (Kota)

Kota looks at Akiko.

"Well of course he can. I mean we can, count me in" (Akiko)

"That's great. By the way guys, I'mma go now, see y'all on Monday" (Enmei)

The trio waves goodbye as he gets on his motorcycle and go directly to the shop. He helps his mom to organize the whole shop before going home. Upon approaching home, he gets to do a lot of chores before going to sleep. However when he gets into his room, he goes to play video games such as The Twins, Resolute, and Flex Legends: The Big Bang. At night he then reads manga on his phone. At midnight, he goes to Accord while playing Resolute.

He chats with a lot of friends. One of them, a girl is one of the best shooters in the game. Her name appears to be VShooter69. Though for a long time, they have playing beside one another in other games such as The Twins, and Flex Legends: The Big Bang which makes her an old gaming friend of his aside from Asahi, Natsuki, and Akiko. After the game, they then talk to one another.

"You were sick out there man!" (VShooter69)

"Thanks, you also. I haven't seen anyone shoot the others with such accuracy and timing" (Enmei)

"Hey, have you seen latest First One Who Confesses, Loses the Game! movie?" (VShooter69)

"Wait, they have already released it?" (Enmei)

"Yeah, like 2 weeks ago" (VShooter69)

"Aww man, that's my favorite show, damn it! It's because of school" (Enmei)

"I think you're taking school seriously man" (VShooter69)

"It's just I want to get into the spotlight as my friends are and tbh, I'm taking the opportunity have a great future ahead of me" (Enmei)

"Hmm, you know, I think you're a great guy. Hey, wanna go hangout on Saturday?" (VShooter69)

"Wait, like for real?" (Enmei)

"Yeah, let's meet up at the park, 9am" (VShooter69)

Although Enmei is having second thoughts about this, he texted him/her that he'll come.

As Saturday comes to light, Enmei goes to the park exactly at 9am.

"Hmm where is she? Maybe I ended up on the wrong park! No wait, she lives in the same city"

From a far, a red bob cut-haired girl sneaks up behind him. She taps his shoulder, and asks,

"U-u-umm, e-excuse me. A-are you Excalibur_613?", she asks.

"Y-yeah, do I know you?", he asks as he's confused.

"Yeah, I'm VShooter69 in the flesh, otherwise known as Yui Ichikawa. You can call me Vish or anything you prefer", she says.

"Ohh, ok Ichikawa-san" (Enmei)

"Oh please lol, not Ichikawa-san, just Vish" (Yui)

"Ok, if you insist" (Enmei)

They then head to the café at the mall to order to refreshments. While waiting for their drinks,

"So, where do you live?" (Enmei)

"I'm actually from the neighboring city, that's why I got here very quickly" (Yui)

"Oh I thought you were from Kansai" (Enmei)

"Nah, I only took up that accent when I began gaming. You know, I didn't even know that you're from here because of that New York accent every time you're talking in English" (Yui)

"Well, I just adopted that accent to blend in with my friends" (Enmei)

"My Kansai accent, I just studied it to mess with other people" (Yui)

"Damn, it's just like we stole these accents just for fun" (Enmei)

"Yeah but it's kinda interesting tho, it's just like from those anime" (Yui)

"Oh yeah, speaking of anime, what is your favorite anime?" (Enmei)

"Ah you know that quintuplets anime?" (Yui)

"Oh don't get me started with that, it's a great anime, that's also my favorite right after The Cardinal Sins" (Enmei)

"Btw, what is your favorite character on that?" (Yui)

"The Cardinal Sins or the quintuplets anime?" (Enmei)

"Quintuplets one" (Yui)

"Ohh it's the introverted sister" (Enmei)

"Yeah, that's my incognito sometimes, I cosplay her" (Yui)

The two got fascinated with one another as they speak about anime and gaming. He also tells her jokes and shows funny reels and videos about Craftsburg, Resolute, and The Twins from InstaBox. Though they then get to the point of asking if were they in a relationship.

"You know, I haven't had a relationship but I do had a crush on a beautiful girl a long time ago. The only thing is I moved on from her since she doesn't care", he says to her.

"Hey, look, I want to be someone's girl and I think we are meant for each other. Come on, don't be shy, we're both single anyways", she tells him.

Having second thoughts about this, Enmei is about to decline the offer until,

"I'll cosplay the introverted sister for you", Yui tells him.

Since he relates to her stories and also on him getting cringed out because of no girlfriend, he has no choice but to accept.

"It wasn't that hard right?", she says.

Enmei tries to look at his convo with the girls (Hanako, Akiko, Himari, and Natuski)

"Hey, whatcha got there? Is it a girl? Are you replacing me?!", she intimidates him.

"No, no! These are my girl best friends", he tells her.

She pouts and after Enmei explaining it, she then nods. They go out after the café and go to different places like the arcade, billiards, and the dike. After all of that, they both go home.
