Starrk summoned his katana. "Damned pirates." His eyes looked as if they were on fire.
"Woah calm down there reptile boy." The stranger looked at Abraham, and then at Solara.
"Were you all sent by Solis to kill us?"
Abraham blinked, "Uh no, I'm here to uh—timmytentfas?"
The stranger suddenly paused. "Well why didn't you say so before!" He started laughing.
Starrk, still ready to attack, looked at Abraham and sighed.
"Ah Starrk, long time no see. You still sucking up to Solis?" The stranger smirked. "Why are you here, bothering us dormant pirates? I thought that would be beneath you."
Starrk dismissed his weapon and changed his demeanour. "Ah, Baron! Long time no see indeed! You still jerking off to squids?" He let out a crooked smile.
'Why is his name a title…' Abraham thought.
Baron turned his gaze towards Abraham.
Tick. Tick. Tick.
A clock-like sound echoed faintly from behind one of his eyes.
"By the way lil' hobo over there, nice sword you got there in your inventory." Baron's lips curled upwards. "You wouldn't mind if that just… vanished right?"
Abraham tensed. "I'm JOKING…" Baron reassured, laughing hysterically. "You're a friend of Purdeeg, no?"
Abraham stared at him puzzled. 'Who the fuck is Purdeeg?'
Realising Abraham's confusion he said, "The bartender…? In the village of York."
Abraham, somewhat relieved, says "Yeah that dude."
Baron dismissed his guns and walked up to Abraham. He pulled him into a big hug. "I think we're gonna make good friends."
Abraham, stunned, just took the hug like a man. "Yeah… sure."
Baron glanced over at Starrk, who's currently fighting off the urge to shred everyone here to pieces. "Come along you three! Let me introduce you to the Killer-Whale."
Abraham and Solara looked at each other. 'Did he say Killer-Whale.'
Abraham sighed. 'So, I'm stuck with a witch, a lizardman, and now a deranged pirate.'
They all followed Baron, who took them to a surprisingly nice looking ship. They climbed aboard.
Abraham noted how spacious and well-kept the ship was. Its railings were almost pristine, with little to no dust.
A woman exited the ship's cabin, startled by the three visitors with Baron.
"Uh—Baron, who are these people?"
"Oh, hey Alvira. These are some good pals I found. Except for Starrk, I have no idea why he's still here."
Starrk grunted.
Baron turned back to the three. "We won't be setting sail until tomorrow, so make yourselves comfortable."
Solara, out of the blue, asked, "Can I uh… take your hand?"
Baron raised a brow. "That's awfully romantic of you."
Solara looked away, clearly regretting how she phrased it.
"Just… give me your hand.."
"Pfft, if you insist."

"Oh, that's why you wanted my hand. You were just checking me out. Not like that, of course."
Solara's face contorted from disgust.
"You're not even an ignited…"
Baron raised a brow. "Yeah? Is there a problem?"
"None at all, I just assumed the very strong pirate would be a lot more… imposing. Since y'know, you were acting all big around a resonant."
Baron smirked, clearly unperturbed by Solara's attempt to concern him.
"You don't look so tough yourself, y'know."
It was at this point Abraham cut into the conversation. "We haven't introduced ourselves yet, haven't we?"
"I'm Abraham and this is Solara."
"Abraham, huh?"
"... Yup."
"Abraham."
Abraham blinked. "Yeah, that's the one…"
"Abraham."
Abraham stared at Baron, confusion in his eyes. "What's up…?"
Baron smiled. "Oh nothing much, I just like saying your name over and over again."
The rest of Baron's crew exited the cabin and met the newcomers. It was a group of five people in total, including Baron and Alvira.
A young man with disheveled hair and a brown ranger's outfit first introduced himself to the three.
"I'm Leon. Nice to meet you Abraham and Solara. Not you though Starrk… no one likes you."
Leon walked away after a bow and walked to climb up a ladder to a lookout spot atop the mast.
The next person was a tall and very muscular man. His hair was a dirty blonde and he had a short beard which was very well kept. "Hey, I'm Xander." Abraham was stunned by the man's height. He was at least 7 feet.
The last person to introduce themselves was a woman with an athletic build, grey skin and dark hair. She was wearing armor that looked very resilient yet flexible to allow her to move freely. "Hey there, Abe, I'm Kassi."
Solara looked at Kassi, slightly annoyed. "Hey she said your name but not mine? What gives?"
They all went around the ship to get the ship ready for the next morning.
"Leon's our sniper by the way. Xander's our tank. Alvira is our healer and support. And Kassi… She's our frontline assassin." Baron put his arm over Abraham's back.
Abraham forced a smile. Despite the friendly nature of all these pirates, he refuses to trust any of them.
He approached Starrk, who stood staring out into the sea from the railings.
"Hey Starrk…"
Starrk glanced over at him. "What do you want, Young Abraham?"
"Can you… teach me how to fight?"
