Only a few moments had passed since Abraham passed out.
Abraham suddenly awoke, coughing up bits of water.
He looked around and noticed everyone sat beside where he was laying.
Alvira let out a sigh of relief and stood up and walked away in a stretch. 'Guess she only cared if I woke up.'
Xander and Leon also resumed their positions, worry wiping off their faces. This left Solara, Baron, Kassi and Starrk who stuck by him.
"Aha! Young Abraham I knew you would've pulled through. Expected of a student of mine."
Starrk pulled him into an embrace. "I heard everything from Lady Solara, if only I had known."
Abraham let out a weak smile. "It's cool. I'm happy I got the kill at least, makes up for almost dying."
Solara grimaced. "Well congrats for that." She stood up and leaned against the ship's railing nearby.
Starrk sat down by Abraham, examining him for any wounds Alvira might've missed healing.
"Didn't think you cared a lot about me, Starrk."
Starrk was also shocked upon realising and coughed. "Had to make sure my student was in perfect condition for our next training session."
Abraham laughed and stretched.
"Knew you'd make it buddy." Abraham glanced over at Baron.
"Notice anything different? Eh?" Baron smirked.
"Uh no, what's up?"
Baron's smirk immediately turned into a scowl. "Look at my LEG you idiot."
"Oh cool you got a stick as a leg now." Abraham said sarcastically
"Ahh fuck you Abraham." Baron stood up while laughing.
Out of nowhere, Kassi jumps in and gives Abraham a hug. "Hell yeah, you're alive."
Abraham patted her on the back, a surprised look on his face.
A minute passed.
"Uh… you can let go now y'know."
Kassi's eyes widened. "Oh yeah, woops."
Abraham lay down on the floor a little longer.
"Oh right guys, I got some rewards for killing the crab."
Everyone suddenly stopped what they were doing and glanced at Abraham. All except Solara of course who stared over at the ocean.
The same message prompt appeared.
[Congratulations Dormant Abraham! Despite all odds you have slain the mini-boss "Seaspawn — Azure Decapod."]
[Accept Rewards Now?]
[Yes]
[You have been awarded: 34 Pulse, Armor Crate, Weapon Crate]
"Oh cool."
Everyone's interest piqued the moment he said that.
"I got thirty-four pulses."
Everyone froze and then shouted in unison: "THIRTY-FOUR?"
Abraham reviewed his stats:
[Name: Abraham]
[Age: 20]
[Pulse: 80]
[Attribute: Combat]
[Trait: ???]
[Titles: —]
[Equipment: Rusty Knife, Daylight, Venomous Infliction, Medallion of The Sun, Armor Crate, Weapon Crate]
"I also got some crates."
He first summoned the armor crate.
Everyone on board stared at it in envy, even Solara turned to look, curiosity overriding her spite.
He opened it and a light shone from within as a notification appeared in front of Abraham.
[New Armor: Desert Prowler (Full Set) stored in inventory]
"Hell yeah, I got the full set for some desert prowler armor."
He summoned it and sparks of light suddenly appeared around his body.
He stood up and stared at weaves of the armor being put together on top of his clothes. After the light disappeared, Abraham observed his body and noticed that he was covered in a slim and flexible assassin-styled piece of armor. It was onyx black with golden markings around his arms, chest and back. A black scarf that acted like a face mask also manifested and rested on his neck. Atop his head he also noticed a black cowboy style hat appear.
Kassi grinned. "Looking snazzy."
[Set Bonus: Grants protection from the effects of desert storms and also provides the wearer increased immunity to extreme temperatures.]
Starrk clapped his hands together. "Well earnt Young Abraham! This will prove amazing for our training sessions."
Baron crossed his arms. "Well damn, guess Abraham is the second strongest on this ship now, huh."
The rest nodded in agreement.
Abraham summoned the weapon crate and proceeded to open it.
A flash of light appeared, similar to when he opened the armor crate and then got a notification.
[New Weapon Stored: Blades of the Sun]
Abraham summoned it eagerly. Two lights shone on and around his arms. As they slowly dimmed down, everyone looking noticed two golden and pristine wrist blades resting on Abraham's arms.
"Aha! This must be a gift from Solis herself!" Starrk remarked.
Abraham analysed the description of the blades.
"Forged not in fire, but in reverence. These twin blades once sung in the presence of Solis herself, honed beneath her gaze and quenched in the blood of those who dared to challenge her light."
'Well doesn't that sound cool.'
Abraham stretched and dismissed his new rewards.
"Alright guys… I think I'm going to go to sleep. Wake me up when we get to the crystal desert or whatever it was called."
Starrk called out from behind: "Rest well Young Abraham! You will need all the energy you can get."
Baron stared at everyone. "Hey guys… let's play cards."
