["Life Simulator: Fairy Britain 0.3 beta test version"]
[Welcome back, Player No.001, ID Guinevere]
[New Mode · FATE/Destiny Simulation has loaded; only players who have cleared the main storyline can enter this mode.]
[Mode Introduction: In this mode, the worlds you can simulate are no longer limited to Fairy Britain, but extend across countless parallel universes.]
[In each universe, destinies differ sharply, futures diverge, and people play out various tragedies and joys—but in common, their fates often revolve around the Holy Grail and heroic spirits.]
[Note: In this mode, the player does not enter the simulated world as their original identity; instead, you must use the new "Trait System" to customize a character card unique to you and play the simulation through that character.]
[Also, depending on the background of your character card, the system will restrict actions that conflict fundamentally with that character's profile—players, please be mindful.]
Guinevere thought quietly to herself (mindful that Artoria was nearby):
"Let me piece this together… It's like a tabletop RPG: I craft a character card and then run a Grail War campaign, and during it I must strictly act according to that character's background?"
"It feels odd—maybe this system should be called 'Running the Grail War in the Type-Moon Universe'?"
[In the new Trait System, the system can parse each character the player encounters—including the player themself—splitting their innate talents and upbringing into three core "traits."]
[According to system analysis, the three innate traits for player Guinevere are:]
[Stubborn (N): You are naturally headstrong and persistent. Where others stop at a wall, you insist on using your head to bore a hole through it. People wonder if your ancestor was the Foolish Old Man moving mountains.]
[Beloved by All (R): Though you're not a social butterfly, your humility, sincerity, and reasonably good looks grant you a mild baseline boost in others' favor. You more easily win people's goodwill.]
[Great Fortune (SR): In a past life you may have been a benevolent person. You are born with exceptional luck; enviable fortunate events often befall you. In gaming circles, friends often send you "lucky pull" memes. This luck frequently helps you turn danger into safety.]
Guinevere frowned upon seeing "Beloved by All." It wasn't that she disliked the effect, but it felt odd for the system to assign it to her. If she were truly beloved by all, why would she have spent twenty years as a reclusive loner? It must be a system bug. Also, why is "Beloved by All" only rated R? It seemed powerful.
[Beyond the initial innate traits, based on the player's past simulation performance, the player may acquire additional special traits for character-card creation.]
[Each time you create a character card, you may choose three to five traits from your innate or special traits as your character's background influences; the system then generates the appropriate character card for the current simulation context.]
[After each simulation ends, when drawing that simulation's rewards, you have a chance to obtain the special traits you used in the character-card.]
[Based on the player's prior performance, Guinevere's current special traits are:]
[Blacksmith (N): You once worked as a blacksmith, gaining forging proficiency and a one-rank boost in base Strength, though your skin tone appears darker.]
(Acquired by becoming a blacksmith)
[Courageous Charge (R): From youth you displayed martial vigor; even when outnumbered, you dare to charge. The worse the odds, the more your combat power increases, up to boosting all attributes by one rank.]
(Acquired by initiating and winning an attack under extreme numerical disadvantage)
[Talent for Governance (SR): You possess extraordinary aptitude for governance and logistics; your administrative ability is outstanding—Lord Cao might be more thrilled to see you than to see a beloved spouse (a humorous reference).]
(Acquired by raising a faction's overall strength by more than threefold through management)
[Born Leader (SR): Some are born with leadership qualities, and you stand out among them. Your charisma further increases; your actions more easily attract followers, and people readily acclaim you as a leader.]
(Acquired by becoming King of Fairy Britain)
[Blessing of the Holy Sword (SSR): You once received the favor of a Holy Sword. Your Luck increases; all swords resonate naturally with you, granting innate aptitude for blade combat. When wielding swords your combat power is higher, swords find it harder to injure you, and you can unconstrainedly use most restricted swords.]
(Acquired by the "Saving Holy Swordsman · Guinevere" legendary servant card)
After reading the system descriptions, Guinevere roughly understood: besides stats, skills, Craft Essences, and Noble Phantasms, there is a new "Trait" attribute. Every person has three innate traits. Additionally, through regular simulations, one can "farm" powerful pseudo-traits (which don't grant real-world buffs) to design character cards; clearing the new mode can convert those into genuine traits.
"Wow—new mode is amazing!" Guinevere heard Artoria's excited voice next door.
(Thinking: That fool should not blurt out so casually; someone's listening. With her intelligence, can she truly grasp these new mechanics?)
Still, since Artoria spoke up, Guinevere decided to feign ignorance:
"Artoria? What's up? Did something big happen?"
He hoped that, with the wall and the simulation's interference, she could only hear unrelated chatter, not see the screen.
"Eh? Oh—no, I mean these breads are unexpectedly filling! I haven't eaten much but I feel so full."
(Artoria's excuse silenced Guinevere briefly.)
"Sorry for making you endure; next time I'll persuade that maid to swap meals with me."
"Ah, Guinevere, don't spoil me too much—I'm used to roughing it outdoors. Just being full is enough."
Then she hurried on: "Anyway, I'm sleepy now; I'll go rest. See you tomorrow. Good night."
"…Good night."
Their "good night" felt oddly like queuing up in the lobby before a match.
Meanwhile, Artoria, careful not to clatter her chains, rummaged through the new-mode instructions:
[According to analysis, player Artoria's three innate traits are:]
[Child of Prophecy (SSR): You are born bearing a grave mission; your life is destined for greatness, to climb peaks ordinary souls cannot, and leave a remarkable mark on history. Yet that mission also binds you, denying you a normal, peaceful life.]
[Boar Princess (SR): Though outwardly female, those who know you see you are reckless and impulsive—charging ahead like a wild boar. When you act on impulse, you often turn situations for the better; your physical and mental resilience increases, making it easier to boost Strength and Endurance.]
[Village Girl (N): Born a village maiden with limited horizons and barely literate, you often face ridicule.]
Artoria's vision blurred on reading them. Was the system insulting her? Who's "Village Girl" or "Boar Princess"? But looking again at Boar Princess's effects, she thought: "Actually, it's strong… maybe acceptable." She prided herself on focusing on strength over pride. She nodded firmly.
She skipped the rest of the complex trait-farming explanation and saw:
[Due to player feedback about complexity, Queen Simulator v1.1 updated the Trait System: removed the tedious farming process; players can directly join the game with their original identity. The system auto-generates and imports their role. After each FATE/Destiny Simulation clear, players may obtain new innate traits.]
[Since you cleared the main storyline by teaming up with certain roles, in FATE/Destiny Simulation you must remain bound to those roles.]
[For NPC characters, the system temporarily simulates their behavior patterns based on their personalities and injects simulator knowledge so they team with you as if you were that character.]
[If a player carries a character into FATE/Destiny Simulation, that character won't gain their real-world memories afterward, but will still receive rewards based on simulation performance.]
Artoria's excitement shone through: "Wow—so if I run this new simulation, I can still support Guinevere in reality? That's awesome!"
She eagerly clicked "Read All," "Agree," then started:
[You have entered FATE/Destiny Simulation mode.]
