A flash of golden light burst forth. Even Windsor and Darkmoon turned to look.

A small sprite appeared before him.

Different from Huohuo's first appearance, this one was already the same size as her current form—likely due to being gold-quality from the start. When Huohuo was first summoned, she had only been purple-grade.

Gu Ning studied the sprite closely.

She wore a golden dress, held a tiny magic wand, and had short, shimmering gold hair resting neatly on her shoulders. Her irises were golden as well, and her small face had a sharp, spirited look.

"Your name will be Xia Rui."Gu Ning thought it over and named her.

"Rui" echoed the word for "sharpness," and since she was a girl, he picked the Chinese character for flower stamen, 蕊 (ruì), which also had a gentle touch to it.

He realized he'd have to give Huohuo a proper name soon too. After all, she was destined to become a Valkyrie—it'd be a shame if she were still called "Huohuo."

The little sprite beamed with joy, floating up to Gu Ning and nuzzling her cheek against his.

He picked her up and checked her stats.
