auxiliary chapter 0-1: power system

This chapter serves as a place you can go for a quick reference as to how the power system works. This chapter will be updated with more info as time goes on. So expect this to be pretty bare bones at the start, my friends.]

Dantian/Energy core

The Dantian serves as the main way Qi is formed for the early training of a martial disciple or Qi sorcerer, and when a martial disciple trains their qi for the 3-week period before the Qi locking ritual, the Dantian solidifies into an energy core…or rather solidifies into 3 different energy cores. The 3 energy cores are representing the 3 aspects of a living being: the mind, the body, and the soul (though it's mistranslated as breath).

The first core is the body core and focuses on the application of Qi into physical energy. Any martial arts, or body-based sorceries, use the Body energy core, and it's also the only usable from the start of a martial artist or qi sorcerers career, and thankfully has the lowest risk when it comes to overexerting it since it at the very worst just horribly tears up your muscles and bones.

The second core is the soul/breath core and draws on spiritual energy which is required for certain types of martial arts to be usable, and often awakens when a sorcerer or martial artist is [UNKNOWN CAUSE SPOILERS]. But there's another factor, and that using it requires understanding of your emotions, your will, and your being. If you don't understand it, you're not drawing power from your soul. You're drawing power from your LIFESPAN. Which is bad because it doesn't physically affect your appearance. You could burn 30 years of your life and you still look like a twink. One day you're getting a dumpling and the next you're on the ground dead and confused as to what the hell killed you when in reality your time came. Luckily, you can heal from overacting the soul core by performing a healing ritual called [Spoiler].

The third core is the mind core and it is powered by thoughts, strategy, and the power of the human mind. Using it is often used for long rituals that require immense focus. And is the last core unlocked in a cultivator's life. When overused it can cause at the best case scenario, extreme psychosis, and the worst case your brain literally cannot physically function anymore and goes kaboom. Can be healed by [Spoiler]

Qi types

Qi is divided into 2 sets of axes with the first axis representing pure qi and demon qi. 

Pure Qi is the type of Qi used by pure qi sects and martial arts that use them are umbrella under the category of the true school martial arts. Pure qi is tied to the realms of heaven and is often cultivated via meditation, study, and following the ideals of the orthodox path. Sects are the term for schools that teach true school martial arts, and it's often associated with more governmental bodies than others, and because Qi also affects physical appearances, pure qi users are often more cleanly beautiful and ethereally beautiful. 

Demon Qi is its opposite and is manifested via tying(mentally associating yourself) to the realms of the underworld believing in the ideals of orthodoxy the 18 layers of hell, or by following the teachings of a darker divine beings, martial cults (not religious cults…though sometimes the 2 intersect) teach demonic school martial arts which use demon Qi, obviously, and most demonic martial arts do stuff that mainly harms people it also makes you more beautiful in the sense of like a model on a magazine. 

On the second axis is the polarities which part of yin-yang you align with.

Yin is the polarity tied to feelings of stillness, femininity, death, the cold, night, darkness, the moon, the unmoving earth etc. and is used for the yin qi techniques in the pure and demon schools of martial arts. Basically, ice qi, water qi, shadow qi, death qi, earth qi, and moon qi are some of

the types under this category. Also because Yin qi is stronger with females Most young yin qi users will often end up looking androgynous Or effeminate due to the yin energy they let flow through their bodies. Also ends up making them physically colder, and the process of using yin qi can have the effect of making someone mentally colder as the fight goes on,

Yang qi meanwhile is tied to motion, passion, life, masculinity, heat, the daytime, THE SUN, and the Moving stars, yang qi types are often tied to living beings or Tied to movement and heat itself, fire qi, metal qi, light qi, wind qi, beast qi, Sun Qi, and plant Qi are some types of qi under this kind. Because yang qi is tied to passion and high emotion, users often get more emotional as the fight goes on for longer. And it also makes the body of user more muscular to handle the Constantly Moving yang energies inside their bodies.

Miracle bodies

One in about 10000 people will be born with something called a miracle body. That basically serves as a Fine tuning to certain rules to qi users. A miracle body is graded form 1-9 with grade 3-6 being able to have multiple miracle bodies. These bodies may vary from having the ability to master a specific qi type like Pure Yang qi. Or be able to master a specific section of qi techniques like a miracle body that makes the user able to heal super fast. Most miracle bodies if discovered will be given to specific sects that can cultivate the full power of the body

Known miracle bodies

Zhen Moyues body of 1000 brews. Which has 3 major effects 

1 it makes Zhen able to Efficiently use the qi inside his body so he doesn't waste energy with his attacks.

2 it empowers any Qi pills elixirs or ingredients Zhen is nearby 

And 3 if Zhen is damaged it allocates the correct amount of qi necessary to keep his bodies injuries from causing major pain 

Jaune Aurelius, sword demon miracle body

Jaunes sword demon body grants him unprecedented skill with a sword, the ability to manifest sword aura earlier, and a few other unique abilities

Liu Rens body of the mad demon- the mad demon body is uhh hard to explain basically its clearest feature is its ability to make Ren lose his marbles and enter a berserker state during which he can predict moves, Is faster and stronger, etc, more abilities to be explained soon
