Lucien roamed the entire Dungeon like a starved zombie. First, he retrieved the Forsaken Sword, then he began searching every nook and cranny for the wolves.
His method was quite sneaky and resourceful. He drank more potions and refilled his health, then he would lurk in the shadows because [Predator's Instincts] let him detect practically all the monsters around.
Not every monster could hide their killing intent like White Steel—some constantly leaked it. And those kinds were very easy to find. They were scattered throughout the Dungeon.
Lucien entered the depths of the tunnels, killing every single one of them, taking damage too, but he still had over twenty potions.
Even though it was difficult to use potions mid-fight, he never failed to use them after killing each monster. After all, he couldn't just ask the wolf to wait a few seconds while he drank some potions—he pretty much would have been sliced in the throat in that time.
After a while, Lucien pushed open the Boss room door and slowly walked inside. Blood stained his face and pumpkin armor all over, some parts already dried to a rusty brown.
He made his way back to the dying Dungeon Boss and sat next to it. Lucien gently rubbed the Wolf's white fur.
"You know... I was worried for a moment that you might die."
He patted the wolf and smiled.
"I want to fuse with you. Now, I feel like there's danger in fusing with a sentient being. I mean, the game sounded worried about me earlier. Right now, I'm merely level 11, and you're level 50. Not to mention, after fusing with you, my level will drop really low. But it's fine."
He raised his steel hands up.
"If fusing with your underling could give me this, I'm quite excited to see what fusing with you can give me. So it would be worth the effort."
The White Wolf did not respond. Instead, its eyes seemed dull, but in the depths of that dullness was a faint and dying light that burned with hatred for Lucien.
Lucien didn't care though. He patted the Dungeon Boss one more time.
"Don't worry, I'll take good care of you."
Then he pressed his hand on the monster.

[You have gained Feral Restoration (Unique Passive): You can regenerate 3% of max HP after delivering a killing blow. If your HP drops below 15%, regeneration triples, however your sanity begins to deteriorate slightly.]
[You have gained Instincts Lock (Unique Passive): When you are surprised or attacked by a foe with higher speed or stealth, time slows slightly for you (0.5s perception lag reduction).
Cannot be detected by other instinct-type detection skills unless your intent is murderous.]
[You have gained Ego Echo (Unique Passive/Semi Sentient): The will of White Steel lingers within you. Sometimes it whispers. Sometimes... it tries to act.]
[You have gained Stealth (Unique Active): You can erase your presence for 10 seconds. This trait cannot be repeatedly used in ten-second close time intervals.]
[You have gained White Crown (Unique Active/Itemization): You can summon a Wolf Mask that distorts the memory of your appearance. The major trait of this bio-item has been sealed—you can unseal it by defeating the True Alpha of the Steel Pack.]
