Bailey removed the contacts from his right eye and closed it immediately. He then grabbed a beer from the refrigerator and placed it on his wife's memorial.
"Thanks for the colored contacts and doing my makeup, Ash."
Ashley scrolled on her phone while lying on the couch.
"Uncle, you gotta stop calling me 'Ash', I don't want to be a champion from the Kanto region. And stop putting cans there when you're a lightweight."
"It's easier than calling you Ashley and I call you that because of a guy with a chainsaw for an arm. Also, your aunt loved drinking, almost as much as she loved me, which to be fair was a bit worrisome."
Bailey sat beside Ashley, who looked nothing like him, except for her dark hair which came from her mother. Her hair drapes down, covering her face slightly, as if protecting her dark hazel eyes. She was beautiful, like everyone in her family, so she started modeling when she wasn't in school. Bailey started falling asleep until Aaron rushed out of the bathroom, startling him.
"Uncle! You gotta tell me what I am. Who were the ones who came to my school? What were you talking about earlier and what was that...that thing that talked to me?"
"Calm down, I'll tell you everything...ish. The reason why I keep getting back up after dying is that my ability is called reawakening. It's not fun and very inconsistent. Pretty much I get this booming voice in my head saying, 'You have been chosen to become our jester.' Then it sends you to a random day. So, a year into the past or the future, it's really inconsistent."
Ashley looked at Bailey, confused but interested.
"Those guys who took you are members of FEET or the Federal Extermination Express Team. Don't ask why it's called that; it was established in the '40s. And since they were at your school, that means that an abomination escaped and tried to find their king. And I'm guessing that it's long and ugly too. I'm right, aren't I?"
Aaron was speechless at his uncle's accurate guess.
"Yeah, how do you know?"
"I'm a former FEET member, 912th division, and now the most wanted fugitive."
Both Aaron and Ashley looked at Bailey with shock.
"What? Didn't think I was a fugitive? How do you think I could afford your stuff? I think I still have more than 8.4 trillion dollars. How do you think I died around 400 times already, Aaron? Half the time, I turned myself in and then I killed myself."
Ashley stares at Bailey, continuing to be speechless by the shock of hearing her uncle's words.
"So, how much did you have in total?"
"Hmmm, about 6 to 7 sextillion dollars."
Bailey got up and stretched, he groaned loudly as he stretched.
"Yawn, I'm getting old. You two can split the rest of the money if you want. The safe is in my closet and the code is something I can't remember. I'm going to go take a shower and then hit the hay."
He walked to the bathroom to shower as both the kids rushed to his closet to find the safe.
...
"Hey Bailey, wake up. You can't sleep while standing in the shower. We have a bed and I'm cold, come cuddle with me."
Bailey mumbled something and slowly woke up to see nothing, he dried himself with his towel and wrapped it around his waist. He got out of the bathroom and grabbed the beer can from the memorial.
"You two got the code already?"
"Yeah. Why did you forget the password?"
Ashley replied.
He shrugged, "I'm not sure. But make sure you use the money right."
Bailey went to his bedroom and quickly finished the beer before passing out drunk.
