Their home is gone. Their parents are missing. The only clue? A coded escape plan left by their mother.
Now Lyra and her younger brother are on the run — hunted by a regime that erases truth.
To survive, Lyra makes a deal with a notorious street rogue — Nyx of the Night — and a strange man who seems to know more than he should. She doesn’t trust them, but there’s no other choice.
In a world where silence is survival, Lyra knows too much. And if she wants to change anything, she’ll have to risk everything — starting with her voice.
Despite being pretty new, it already feels really promising. I like the sister-brother dynamic, it's a nice change from the usual brother-sister or brother-brother stories where there's always a male lead. Having a protective older sister as the main character is refreshing and makes it stand out.
Intriguing so far, obviously I can't give a fair review considering the fact that the the story has only started to flesh out. But I thought it was written really well, the introduction to the world was very well done and it was overall very well paced. I thought it established things very naturally. can't wait to see what's upcoming
I thought it was an interesting book. I only have read to chapter 3 so far because it is not fully released however it has had a good portion of cliffhangers making me more intrigued on what will happen later on in the book. I enjoy the dystopian vibe along with the environment it appears the characters are in however some of the characters personalities did not seem the best but since I have only read 3 chapters it can always shift. Overall I think its a pretty decent book, I suggest giving it a try.
