Two Heroes, Tensions Escalation

"The security system's been hijacked," Melissa explained, her voice low but steady as we huddled in the dim emergency stairwell. "The control room's at the top of the central tower. If we can get there and made the villains leave the tower, everyone will probably be saved."

Izuku's eyes lit up, his mind already racing. "That's it! If we restore the system, the heroes can handle the villains. We just need to move fast and stay quiet."

"Easier said than done," Jiro muttered, her earjacks twitching as she scanned for sounds beyond the stairwell. "There's probably at least a dozen guards patrolling floors, and who knows how many up top. Plus, those guns aren't toys. How to escape the villains while there?"

"At the moment, none of us have been harmed." Melissa replied. "They probably aren't very familiar with the system yet, so we need to hurry."

Momo nodded, her expression grim. "We're unlicensed. If we're caught fighting, it could jeopardize our futures at U.A. But if it goes this way, there is no problem." She trailed off, glancing at Todoroki, who gave a curt nod.

"We're not leaving All Might alone," Todoroki said, his voice flat but resolute. "Or anyone else. "

Mineta whimpered, clutching his bag. "This is insane! We're students, not pros! What if we get shot?"

"Remember what I taught you before, Mineta. This is an opportunity." I responded to him, and hugged Himiko - who was still mad at me - closer, as if to signal that this was his "shining moment".

In fact, it was true as fuck, in this movie, this guy really carried all the heavy scenes.

And it seemed that my words had not only affected Mineta - who was now starting to take the lead in a worryingly cheerful manner - but also seemed to affect someone else that I hadn't expected.

Uraraka, who had been silent until now, immediately said lines that were exactly like the ones in the movie at first - yeah, I know, like an NPC, maybe because of the "fate conservation law" that made them act exactly like the original, or something I don't know - but then she immediately grabbed Midoriya's hand in a way that intertwined their hands together and said and looked at him with a meaningful expression...

"I won't let myself lose to anyone..."

Hearing that, I laughed out loud because my number 1 side objective in this world seemed to have been completed, then I went up to them with Himiko and joined in.

"Alright, Izuku, count me in. I can't let anything happen to me or my 'sugar cube', but doing something is definitely better than doing nothing."

Right after that, everyone wanted to join in, because there was definitely no one who was cowardly enough to back out from the start...

Well, actually there was, but that guy was now full of energy...

I also seemed to notice that after my request to join, Himiko seemed to... I don't know what that look was, but her red face and her tight grip on my hand were definitely shy...

...

Right after Izuku conveyed everything through his eyes to All Might - who was still tied to the floor, we started climbing the emergency stairs to the 200th floor.

And damn, I was so tired...

We ran like hell to get to the 60th floor, and Himiko seemed so exhausted that she couldn't go any further, and with her grimacing face and red feet, it was probably because of her high heels.

Without a word, what I immediately did was take off her high heels, then carried her princess style and ran up the stairs, causing everyone to look at us with strange eyes...

I don't care, because at least right now there are much more important things to worry about.

My legs burned, lungs screamed, and Himiko's weight - light as she was - made every step a grind. Her arms clung tight around my neck, her breath warm against my cheek, and those red heels dangling from my belt were a constant reminder of her stubborn choice to wear them...

Izuku led the charge, his face set with that determined grit I'd seen a hundred times in the manga. Melissa kept pace, muttering about security systems, while Momo and Todoroki stayed cool and focused. Jiro's earjacks twitched, picking up faint sounds from above, and Mineta, shockingly, hadn't whined in at least ten minutes. Progress.

"Ryuga, you good?" Izuku called back, glancing over his shoulder.

"Barely," I grunted, shifting Himiko's weight. "It's a bit tiring but at least I planned this ahead of time..."

Himiko giggled, her lips brushing my ear. "You're doing great, Ryuu-kun. My hero." Her teasing tone didn't hide the exhaustion in her voice, but that spark in her golden eyes told me she was still in the game.

"Save the flirting for later," Jiro muttered, smirking as she jogged past. "We've got villains to outsmart."

"Jealous?" Himiko shot back, sticking out her tongue. I shook my head, fighting a grin. Even in a crisis, she couldn't resist stirring the pot.

By the time we hit the 80th floor, my arms were screaming, and the air felt thinner.

But the iron door in front of us was not...thin like that.

"Now what...?" Todoroki wondered, panting. "What if we destroy this thing?"

"If you destroy it, the security system will be activated and the villains will find us." Melissa replied.

"Let me try. Maybe if the door is drilled with a hole big enough for people to pass through..."

"All we care about right now is getting inside, right?"

Before I could finish my sentence, Mineta, ignoring everyone's warnings, along with his stupidity and naivety, interrupted me and opened the door right behind us.

Worst of all, yes, like the original, at that moment we were fucking exposed...

"Motherfucker, you're really... Fuck it, let's go, we're going to be exposed anyway, let's go as soon as possible to save time..."

Hearing what I said, everyone, especially Tenya, showed obvious displeasure, but perhaps time was of the essence so they also put it aside to continue running to another emergency exit...

To make matters worse, the blockade doors - were gradually closing to trap us in a corner, and it would have been the end if Todoroki hadn't used Half Cold Half Hot to block the door, followed by a powerful Ida kick to break another door so we could enter the "Plant Factory" to go to the remaining emergency exit.

This place, as Melissa hastily introduced, was an area to test Quirks that affected plants and Quirks with similar abilities. It was quite spacious, the air was fresh and airy, but in this situation, I'd say no one could feel comfortable, especially when Jiro stopped everyone when she noticed the elevator on the other side of the floor was going up. And in here, besides those damn guys, who else could use the elevator...

"Have the Villains found us??" Mineta started to look flustered and scared.

"Hurry up and find a hiding place, everyone!"

Immediately, everyone - including Himiko and I - hid in a nearby bush to hide, as well as to monitor the situation around to see if everything was okay enough to leave.

"If we use the elevator, can we go to the top floor?" Kaminari asked Melissa in a voice filled with confusion and a bit of hope.

"It's useless. This elevator can only be used by a few people." Melissa replied. "And it's made of explosion-proof material, so we can't destroy it."

"What if it is?" I asked her back, hoping to get a good answer. "My Quirk is capable of transforming matter..."

Before I could explain, she poured cold water on me - or rather, the whole group.

"No way. And even if it was possible, the security robots here wouldn't let you do it if you weren't fast enough."

Of course, this was just a temporary solution, so being eliminated in the first round was inevitable. But for Mineta, this was no different from forcing that guy into a corner. And where the hell did his brave attitude go from before??

Let's just forget about this. Now we have something more to worry about, the two subordinate soldiers who started coming in to check on us...

Two guys, one tall, one short, dressed in a black combat suit. Even if they were minions, those two guys were no different from us than the sub-bosses before the final boss. Like, how should I put it... Oh right. That tall and skinny guy had the ability to make his hand grow big and webbed, and when anything was hit by that hand, the shockwave from it would create a very unpleasant ending. The other one is easier to describe, his Quirk allows him to transform into a purple, giant creature and increase all his stats many times over his original. And they also have formidable physical foundations.

Overall, I'd definitely give them 20 minutes to do whatever they want before they die, but if I were to fight them head-on, I'd have a hard time beating those two...

Or not, because everything would happen exactly like it did in the original movie...

Two villains did notice something that scared the hell out of us, but they turn out to be Katsuki and Eijiro.

Eijiro tried to explain politely that they got lost, but those two villains got aggressive because they thought it was impossible for 2 kids to get lost all the way to the 80th floor - it really was - and they also didn't know how many "kids who broke into the upper floors" there were, only that it was plural. And 2 was already "plural" so it was obvious that they were confused.

"I know you're lying, you brats!" The tall and thin man shouted, fanning a shockwave straight at Eijiro, making everyone stunned.

  1. His quirk allows him to shoot fire/ice from each half of his body.
