Chapter 73

The players behind Xu Yuan couldn't help but burst into laughter at his sharp, teasing words.

"Groove, Steve's mouth is too poisonous, hahaha…"

"It's okay to meet the ceremony, hahaha, this really is a card…"

"Normally I don't laugh unless I can't help it, hahaha."

"I only obey Steve's commands anyway, hahaha."

"Hahaha, I suddenly feel a little sympathetic for Long Teng."

"Boss Steve, maybe you should save some face for Long Teng… Hahaha."

Long Teng, hearing Xu Yuan's words, felt his face flush with embarrassment—yet he couldn't find the words to reply.

His guild members, already anxious and hurriedly preparing to leave the city, had no time to engage with Xu Yuan's jabs.

Xu Yuan saw that everyone in the Dragon Teng Guild was leading the wither out of the city and turned to Long Teng with a teasing smile.

"If you lead it out of the city, it will be even more impossible to kill," he said gently.

Long Teng's eyes rolled back as he heard this. Where did Dragon Teng dare to think about killing Wither? His only goal was to protect their main city and hope to invite this 'ancestor' away—if possible.

Seeing that Long Teng did not reply, Xu Yuan continued to watch quietly from the sidelines.

But then, a strange feeling crept into Long Teng's mind. He recalled Xu Yuan's earlier words—*"If you lead it out of the city, you can't kill it."*

A sudden realization struck him: did Steve know how to fight the Wither?

Long Teng's gaze shifted sharply to Xu Yuan, and he blurted out, "Do you know how to kill it?!"

Xu Yuan blinked innocently and replied unhurriedly, "How could I possibly know how to kill it?"

Long Teng's face darkened with frustration—an urge to strangle Xu Yuan surged within him.

The surrounding players chuckled again, amused by the exchange.

"Long Teng: That's too much. Did I just pretend to be strong in front of you?!"

"Hahaha, Steve really is something. He's too clever."

"On the art of speaking, I swear, I could kill you without a single curse, hahaha…"

Despite his reluctance, Long Teng knew that only Xu Yuan seemed to have the means to deal with this Wither. His guild brothers were already struggling to hold on.

Finally, Long Teng gritted his teeth and said, "If you can help us kill this Wither, no matter what happens in the future, as long as you speak, we'll listen…"

Xu Yuan raised his hand and cut him off smoothly.

"Oh, don't worry. I'm not a person who refuses to save. If I weren't the guild leader, I'd help you without hesitation."

"But, you see, there are a lot of brothers behind this, and I believe you understand that too."

Long Teng's expression darkened as he understood Xu Yuan's implication—this was a clear demand for a hefty price.

Xu Yuan continued with a joking tone, "So, since you're so eager to deal with it, how about this: three land deeds, no less, no more."

Long Teng's eyes widened in shock.

"Three land deeds?!! You really dare to speak such things?!"

Those land deeds represented a massive wealth—more than just a small payment. For Long Teng, they were priceless, especially since his guild had been expanding by acquiring small alliances and claiming additional territory.

He knew well that the value of three land deeds was enormous, and offering them was no small matter.

Seeing Long Teng's surprised reaction, Xu Yuan shrugged and said, "Then you can take your time playing with the Wither. We'll be leaving now."

He made a move to turn away, but Long Teng quickly stopped him.

"Don't don't, let's discuss again… Where am I supposed to get three land deeds?!"

Xu Yuan ignored him, continuing his retreat.

Long Teng, realizing Xu Yuan was determined, finally resigned himself. "Fine! Deal."

Xu Yuan turned and smiled at Long Teng. "Pay up first."

Long Teng's eyes twitched. "How am I supposed to bring the land deeds with me?!"

"Come on," Xu Yuan replied with a smile, "You're the guild leader—how could you rely on me for this?"

"Besides," he added with a grin, "your main city is almost gone. Who do you think I'll reason with if the deed runs away?"

"Just settle the contract with the system's justice."

Long Teng felt utterly speechless—trapped in a dilemma.

He could see that Xu Yuan was determined, and with no other choice, he gritted his teeth and finally agreed, "Okay! Deal!"

Xu Yuan nodded in satisfaction. "Then, pay first."

Long Teng rolled his eyes. "How can I carry the deed with me?!"

"Come on," Xu Yuan said with a sly smile, "You're the guild leader—if you don't have it, just find the system's justice to settle it."

Reluctantly, Long Teng found the system and formally signed the agreement.

Shortly after, Ken led the elite players of the Cube People Guild over.

Xu Yuan looked at the guild members and said calmly, "Let's go and retrieve that summoned creature from the Dragon Teng Guild."

The entire guild echoed with confident laughter, shouting in unison:

"It's over!"

This became their guild's symbolic motto—no matter what they faced, they believed in their unity and strength.

Even against such a formidable, unknown boss, the Cube Man Guild's morale was unshaken. They retreated in good order, ready for the next challenge.

Long Teng watched the elite of the Cube People Guild, his eyes filled with envy.

If there was one thing that made a guild truly strong—beyond wealth or numbers—it was cohesion. When each member's morale and blood were poured into the guild, their collective power could surpass hundreds of enemies.

The other players also looked on with admiration, sensing the different atmospheres of strength.

The elites of the Cube Man Guild radiated a commanding presence—an aura that didn't rely on equipment, but on sheer momentum and mastery.

"Wow, the aura of the Cube Man Guild's elites is too strong…"

"It's possible they really can kill that Wither boss."

"But what if Steve's been planning this all along?"

"Did you see Boss Ken just bring someone over? Maybe Steve already knew this boss was coming—"

The players whispered excitedly, looking at Xu Yuan with awe, almost as if he had predicted everything.

Seeing the guild members ready to move, Xu Yuan turned to Long Teng and said, "Let your guild's players lead the Wither to your land."

Long Teng froze, staring at Xu Yuan in disbelief.

He had already ordered his guild to lure the Wither out of their city, suffering heavy losses in the process. Now, Xu Yuan wanted them to lead it back?

"Are you kidding me?!"

Xu Yuan's calm gaze was unwavering.

"Let your guild's players lead the Wither to your own land," he repeated firmly.

Long Teng was stunned—he could tell this wasn't a joke.

He hesitated, then relayed the order through the guild channel:

"All personnel, lead the boss to main city's land!!"

The guild members, already exhausted and battered, stared in disbelief. They had fought hard all day, suffering casualties, only to be told to bring the monster back?

They grumbled in frustration.

"Boss, are you messing with us?!"

"…We're about to be out of town already!"

"Come on, don't treat us like fools!"

Many players lost morale instantly, feeling betrayed and exhausted. Their fighting spirit shattered—after all, they'd been defending the city fiercely, only to be sent out again to be slaughtered.

And the Wither, now a near-unstoppable force, continued its merciless rampage.

Soon, the entire guild was destroyed.

Xu Yuan watched the chaos unfold, shook his head with a sigh, and muttered, "Why can't you help yourselves?"

Long Teng, seeing his forces vanish one after another, was filled with rage.

Hearing Xu Yuan's cold words again, he wanted to retort, but no words escaped.

Xu Yuan raised his hand and said with a small smirk, "Let's see what it means to attract monsters… next time, you'll know."
