Chapter 75

Wither could be called a notoriously difficult boss in Minecraft—some even believed it was more challenging than the Ender Dragon. Xu Yuan observed that the health drained from Wither during the fight was at least over a thousand, significantly increasing the difficulty of killing it. Naturally, the rewards for such a feat would be commensurate—better than the usual first kill.

However, Xu Yuan didn't hold high expectations. After all, he had already obtained the Nether Star and the land deed right from the start. He carefully collected the fallen Nether Star and stored it in his backpack. Then, he approached Poul and asked, "What's the system reward?"

At first, Poul was stunned, then quickly responded:

"Boss, the system rewards a land deed, 20 gold coins, and… a broken drawing."

Xu Yuan's eyes immediately widened in surprise.

"Broken drawing? Show me," he urged.

Poul nodded and handed over all the rewards. Xu Yuan took the broken drawing and examined it carefully. When he saw the four characters inscribed on it—*Twilight Forest*—he was stunned again.

"Twilight Forest?!"

Previously, after obtaining the *Universal Crafting Table*, Xu Yuan guessed that the game might incorporate various mods in later stages. But he never expected that the first module revealed before him was actually the Twilight Forest.

However, this was only a fragment—a broken drawing—meaning it would need to be pieced together with other fragments to form a complete map leading into the Twilight Forest.

He speculated that the system's reward for killing bosses might be fragments of these special worlds. Since only Wither and the Ender Dragon are the recognized MC bosses, the fragments would likely be limited to these two.

If the system only rewards fragments after the first boss kill, then perhaps only two fragments exist—one for each boss. The fragment he received didn't seem like a half-piece, so how does one obtain the other?

Xu Yuan pondered. Perhaps the system rewards fragments for defeating particularly powerful monsters—those beyond ordinary mobs, like Wither and the Ender Dragon. Higher difficulty might mean higher rewards, especially for players with advanced gear and skills.

He thought about it, recalling that the most formidable monsters—beyond Wither and the Ender Dragon—would be the Ravager Beasts, the Charged Creeper, the Guardians, and the Ancient Guardians. These could be potential sources of other fragments.

But for now, he focused on the immediate. He carefully stored the fragment and then turned to Ken.

"Do we have any casualties?" Xu Yuan asked.

Ken smiled happily and shook his head. "No! No one died!"

Xu Yuan's face lit up with satisfaction.

"Good," he said. "This is the first time everyone has fought a boss together, and everyone cooperated very well!"

"Worthy of our elite Cube Man Guild!"

The guild members felt proud and happy at Xu Yuan's praise. Yet, they all knew—deep down—that the reason they had no casualties was largely due to Xu Yuan's exceptional leadership and control.

In truth, all the operations and coordination were driven by Xu Yuan alone. His ability to attract the boss's hatred, command the team, and precisely export attacks on Wither was beyond ordinary players. If he had made even the slightest mistake, the entire operation could have failed.

They also understood that Xu Yuan's leadership in guiding Wither to the ground was the most crucial step in ensuring victory.

He had anticipated everything early—long before Long Teng even left. This foresight was what made the entire battle smooth and successful. It was also during this fight that the guild members truly saw Xu Yuan's strength and leadership, realizing that with such a leader, no boss was insurmountable.

After completing the kill, Xu Yuan and his team moved outside the city.

Outside, Long Teng and his guild members, along with some idle players, had gathered, waiting anxiously.

Xu Yuan led his group over, greeted by cheers from the crowd.

"Steve! You guys are amazing!!!"

"My scalp's going to stand on end just watching your monster fight—it's like rehearsed!"

"Steve! Your tricks are unbelievable!!"

"Cube Man Guild—respect!!"

"The first time I saw such a epic boss kill!! If I hadn't seen Wither slaughtered, I'd think it was a joke…"

"Yes… Under Steve's command, they have no way to fight back!"

"I even recorded the whole battle! I'm uploading it to the forum!!"

"This is the ultimate boss fight tutorial! Boss Steve commanded perfectly! Elite group cooperation was flawless!!"

The players' praise was genuine—they were truly moved by the seamless coordination and mastery displayed. Watching Xu Yuan dodge attacks while commanding and attacking with precision made it seem like they had fought Wither many times before.

Even the members of the Dragon Teng Guild couldn't help but feel admiration in their hearts. They had personally experienced how fierce Wither was and knew how difficult it was to avoid its head attacks.

They only admired Xu Yuan more—his skill, his command, his calmness under pressure. He was the true master!

Long Teng looked at Xu Yuan with a complex expression—part envy, part frustration.

"Thank you," he said through gritted teeth, "I'll send someone with the land deed…"

Xu Yuan nodded and motioned for his guild to leave.

As they turned to go, Long Teng sighed deeply. Despite his efforts, he realized—he would never be able to defeat the Cube Man Guild as long as Xu Yuan was leading it.

The victory was theirs. The battlefield was littered with the wreckage of Wither's assault, and it would take time for Long Teng's guild to recover.

Meanwhile, the forum was already aflutter with posts celebrating the victory:

*[All the ins and outs of the Wither boss fight!]*

The entire community buzzed with admiration for Xu Yuan's extraordinary operation, strategic foresight, and commanding presence. Many speculated that if Xu Yuan hadn't been there, the Wither would have been led out of the city by the Dragon Guild players, destroying the terrain and making recovery even harder.

This conjecture made the scattered players' scalp tingle.

As Xu Yuan returned to the main city, players from Neon Country looked at him with even greater respect.

This battle had shown them that relying on Xu Yuan was the best way forward.

After negotiating with Neon players, Xu Yuan arranged for trusted members—particularly those fluent in Japanese—to expand and develop in Neon Country. He also deployed personnel to explore other regions.

His next goal was clear: the Ender Dragon.

He was certain that killing the Ender Dragon first would yield the fragments of the Twilight Forest map.

Just as Xu Yuan was contemplating when to challenge the Ender Dragon, the full server system suddenly announced:

|Countdown for the full-server BOSS system: 1 day!|

The players froze in shock at the message.

"What?! The full-server BOSS system?!"

"Did Steve kill Wither to trigger this?!"

"We haven't even cleared ordinary monsters yet, and now we're facing bosses everywhere?!"

"Wow… I think I'm going to be miserable again…"

The anticipation and anxiety in the community grew rapidly, as everyone wondered what this new system would mean for their future adventures.
