He watched me pack my bags with cold eyes, frowned, and his tone was icy.
"There's an alliance meeting for the pack next week. I need to bring some allies along, and you're coming too."
He's trying to use me as a shield again, but how could I possibly agree?
"You guys go ahead. I've got things to do next week, so I won't be joining."
He glanced at me, then sneered.
"You know I'm taking Ella out, so you're throwing a little tantrum, aren't you?"
I'm so done with this old wolf. Who on earth gave him the delusion that I'd be jealous of him and Ella?
"Isn't it better if I don't go? You and Ella can be more intimate without any inhibitions."
I pretended not to understand his current situation, controlling my expression to look naive as I questioned him back.
He was caught off guard by my counter, and his expression wasn't pleasant.
