The Third Black Angel 2

Xiao Feng glanced at the mutt and couldn't help but chuckle, "To Lei Yan, you're a monster as well."

The mutt nodded solemnly, "In this wretched world, monsters have become increasingly abundant."

Xiao Feng smiled faintly, then fixed his gaze on the screen. Once the program finished downloading, numerous windows neatly proliferated across the monitor—dozens of them.

Lei Yan spoke through the communicator, "These are all the images captured within a one-square-kilometer radius near you—not just traffic cameras, but also personal video recordings."

Xiao Feng responded, "Excellent. Now, bring up footage from four days ago."

"Okay." Within seconds, the screen flickered and all the windows shifted simultaneously to a new set of images.

"Speed it up tenfold."

"No, can you even see clearly at ten times speed?"

"Heh, I can't see clearly myself, but someone else can. Just speed it up."

Turning to the mutt, Xiao Feng instructed, "Keep an eye out for anyone carrying a long box like mine—or other bulky packages. The Black Angel is too large; he must be carrying a big case."

The mutt focused on the screen and grinned, "That's simple. Let's begin." Suddenly, a green phantom light shot from the mutt's eyes, enveloping the entire monitor. The chip implanted in his brain began processing, locking onto all the images, ready to scan.

Xiao Feng said to Lei Yan, "Start the scan."

The screen erupted into chaos as dozens of images flickered wildly. After a few minutes, the mutt pointed at one window, "There's one here." Then he indicated another, "And here as well."

The mutt, his expression focused, identified five or six such windows in succession.

Xiao Feng memorized their positions and said to Lei Yan, "Enlarge those windows and play them in slow motion." Then he relayed their locations.

Thousands of miles away, Lei Yan manipulated the controls and preserved the selected footage.

Each scene revealed a figure carrying a long bag, clad in a black trench coat, wearing a baseball cap and sunglasses, walking cautiously through the streets with a cold expression, seemingly unconcerned about being seen.

Xiao Feng's keen hunter's instinct immediately identified the man.

Pointing at the figure, he said to the mutt, "Focus on him."

The mutt frowned, "I agree. But now, how do we track him? We know what he looks like, but not his current whereabouts."

Xiao Feng smiled, "That's simple. The rest is up to you and Lei Yan." He then instructed Lei Yan via communicator, "Infiltrate all video footage across Norton City. Find out the last time and place this man appeared."

Lei Yan exclaimed, "Damn, Boss Xiao Feng, you're kidding, right? That's an immense amount of data..."

"Heh, do you trust yourself? Only you and Lei Yan can pull this off. No one else can."

Lei Yan sighed, "Alright, I'll give it a shot. Let's play along."

The screen soon filled with an overwhelming array of flickering images, too much even for Xiao Feng and Rush to endure. Rush muttered, "You guys are crazy…"

After several minutes of relentless scanning, they locked onto a particular frame. Lei Yan said, "This should be the last image."

Xiao Feng stared at the frozen frame: the sniper was climbing into a car, which contained other people.

"Zoom in. Let me see who's driving."

The image magnified several times, revealing the driver's face. Xiao Feng frowned deeply and cursed, "Damn it—Henry, that bastard."

Rush and the mutt asked simultaneously, "You know him?"

Xiao Feng nodded, "Former branch chief of the Black Whale City Alliance's paranormal affairs bureau. We had our differences—I severed one of his arms. Never thought he'd be involved in this."

Then he instructed Lei Yan, "This next part's tougher. Find out where this car is now."

Lei Yan nearly spat blood on the other end, "Boss, I'm human, not a god. I really can't do that."

"Then get Mark on the line. I want Mark's team to assist."

Lei Yan reluctantly called Mark. After Xiao Feng explained the situation—especially when Mark learned this was the assassin who tried to kill Jason—his face hardened. "Don't worry. We'll give everything to find this guy. He dared to target my boss; he's begging for trouble."

In Black Whale City's command center, Mark called out four or five names, "Drop what you're doing. We've got a major operation that requires everyone's involvement." Then he projected the final image onto the main screen. "Our mission: locate this car and these people, and find out where they are now. The workload is heavy. Let's get to it."

With that, Mark and Lei Yan, along with the team, sat before multiple monitors, each displaying dozens of video feeds flickering in real time. Countless small red squares scanned tirelessly across the screens.

Unaware of the complex operation unfolding thousands of miles away, Xiao Feng knew nothing of the gargantuan search and comparison process underway at Black Whale City's command center.

Fortunately, this secondary city possessed powerful supercomputers; without them, even one flickering feed on a single monitor would cripple a personal computer.

Nearly half an hour later, Lei Yan sent a frame to Xiao Feng: "Finally found him. He's now in New Capital City."

Hearing that the trio had arrived in New Capital City, a deep foreboding filled Xiao Feng's heart. "Got it. Lock onto these three and track their movements. We're going to capture them now."

Ending his call with Lei Yan, Xiao Feng connected to Kelly.

Kelly smiled brightly at the screen, "Xiao Feng, have you missed me?"

Xiao Feng directed the communicator toward the footage, "Look closely at these three. They're the assassins who tried to kill Jason, currently in New Capital City. If I'm not mistaken, their target this time is either your father, Hebrew, or other senior executives at the Brownm company. Possibly even you. You must stay vigilant from now on."

Kelly, noting his grave tone, nodded solemnly, "Understood. I'll inform my father. Xiao Feng, thank you again for this critical intelligence."

"It's my duty. We're heading to New Capital City now. If possible, I want you to keep them under surveillance. They're extremely dangerous. Don't attempt to apprehend them before we arrive."

Kelly obediently nodded, "Got it. When will you be here?"

"As soon as possible. We're setting off now."

...

The night in New Capital City was as breathtaking as ever. Countless lights sparkled like tiny pearls resting quietly on the city's vast platter. Yet atop a skyscraper, a man clad in a black trench coat was assembling a colossal sniper rifle—its barrel nearly as long as his height. Struggling to lift a five-centimeter diameter barrel, his strength was clearly limited.

Once assembled, he unfolded the rifle's bipod and set it at the rooftop's edge. This immense sniper rifle was none other than the Black Angel's weapon, affectionately dubbed the Black Angel rifle by Xiao Feng.

Behind the marksman stood two companions: a corpulent man—Henry—and a stout, short figure named Charles, evolved with rock-like powers.

Henry's mechanical hand clutched a cigar, its silver gleam shining under the moonlight. Muttering to himself, Henry hissed, "Damn Xiao Feng. You chopped off my hand. Tonight, I'll send your woman straight to hell."

Charles frowned, "Are we sure about this? Kelly used to be our comrade."

"I've made up my mind. No doubts. Tind, aim at Kelly. This time, one shot, one kill."

The slender sniper's eyes chilled, "Don't worry. I'll succeed. Kelly's alone in her office right now. One shot and she's dead."

Through the Black Angel's scope, Tind clearly saw Kelly sitting behind her desk, flipping through documents.
