Athena 2

Black Dragon glanced at Athena reclining on the lounge chair and couldn't help but carefully recount his story to her, especially exaggerating the formidable prowess of Xiao Feng.

Athena sipped her juice and, after hearing Black Dragon's tale, asked with curiosity, "You say this Xiao Feng is really that powerful now?"

"Of course he is. You haven't seen Ares in quite some time, right? Don't you want to know where he's gone?"

"Hmm, you're right. It has been a long while since I last saw Ares. Where is he now? Do you know?" Athena inquired of Black Dragon.

Black Dragon nodded. "Ares was captured alive by Xiao Feng. You know Ares' strength—even with his title as God of War, he was no match for Xiao Feng and was taken prisoner. Where he's held now, none of us know."

Hearing this, Athena abruptly rose from the lounge chair. "That detestable Xiao Feng—I'll make sure to deal with him properly."

Black Dragon chuckled secretly at Athena's disdain for Xiao Feng. The more divine-level mutants that clashed with Xiao Feng, the happier Black Dragon became. Erasing Xiao Feng from this world had become his greatest wish.

Wrapping a white towel around her waist, Athena strode forward, saying, "I'm going to confront this Xiao Feng today. I refuse to believe... Damn Ares—such a disgrace to the temple."

As Athena stormed away in frustration, a voice suddenly echoed beside Black Dragon, "So, you're pleased this time, huh? Sending the fierce little lady to stir up trouble for Xiao Feng—that was a clever idea."

"Fierce little lady? Who's the fierce little lady?" Black Dragon asked in surprise.

"Of course Athena. In the temple, who else but her could deserve that title?"

Hearing the voice, Black Dragon turned to see Poseidon, the Sea God, watching Athena's departing figure with a grin. "Xiao Feng is indeed in some trouble this time."

Black Dragon doubted, "Can such a young woman really trouble Xiao Feng?"

"Don't underestimate her. Why do you think she can enter the temple while you cannot? She clearly has her skills and strength. I'd really like to see how this young lady plans to handle Xiao Feng." Poseidon adjusted his deep blue suit, its color reminiscent of the ocean.

"Well then, we shall go. I can fly you there in my plane."

"The fierce little lady won't care for your plane."

No sooner had Poseidon spoken than a convertible jeep roared out of the temple garage. Athena, now clad in a striking red combat suit, silver short hair, and ultra-cool sunglasses, carried an air of wildness.

Most notably, a fully assembled black sniper rifle—Black Angel—rested in the back seat.

Black Dragon immediately recognized the immensely powerful Black Angel and said to Poseidon, "Lord of the Sea, Athena's got Black Angel in the back seat."

Poseidon looked at Black Dragon in surprise. "You know about Black Angel?"

"Of course. Aren't there only three Black Angels?"

"Indeed. Athena expended considerable effort to acquire one."

"Heh, it takes a lot just to get one Black Angel, yet Xiao Feng has two."

"What? You say Xiao Feng has two Black Angels? That can't be true!"

"Do you think I'd lie?"

Poseidon glanced toward Athena in the distance. "If what you say is true, Athena is really in for trouble this time..."

Meanwhile, in the X military camp, Xiao Feng carefully polished his Black Angels. Both rifles were now complete by his side, though stained with fresh blood.

Xiao Feng meticulously cleaned every blemish from the guns as if tending to a child's body. Though he had no children yet, he felt certain he would never treat any future child as tenderly as he did these rifles.

Suddenly, the communicator on his wrist lit up, and Kelly's image appeared in his sight. Xiao Feng smiled at her, "Hello, Kelly. Long time no see."

Kelly looked at Xiao Feng and said, "You still have the nerve to say that? Don't you have a conscience?"

Xiao Feng felt guilty. "Yes, I've been busy lately and neglected you. I'm sorry."

Kelly's expression shifted to sadness. "I know about Ivy. I feel sorry for you. How are you holding up?"

Hearing Ivy's name, Xiao Feng forced a bitter smile. "What else can be done? Only I know my own pain. From now on, don't ever mention Ivy's name again. You know that kind of pain is unbearable." Tears welled in his eyes.

Kelly sighed deeply. "Looks like Ivy still holds a place in your heart. Actually, I liked her too, but..."

"Enough. Let's not talk about this anymore, alright? Do you want to see me cry in front of you?"

"I know you're hurting, so I'm coming to comfort you properly. I'm boarding a plane now. Wait for me. I'll be there in just a few hours, and I'm bringing some fine wine. Tonight, we drink until we're drunk."

Touched by Kelly's words, Xiao Feng felt moved. Since meeting her and sharing so many experiences, Kelly's personality had changed greatly; at least she no longer carried the airs of a spoiled heiress. She smiled warmly and said, "Wait for me...," then ended the call.

Watching Kelly's final image on the screen, Xiao Feng was filled with emotion.

He quickly polished both Black Angels, packed them away, then took a shower and changed into his best clothes—of course, a suit from Kelly. Looking in the mirror, Xiao Feng appeared strikingly handsome, though mentally still somewhat unsettled. Glancing at his long hair, he felt a sudden dislike for it. Tugging at the strands, he took a pair of scissors and stepped out of his room.
