Number Five, Part 5

The Giant cast a chuckling glance at Xiao Feng. "Brother, I don't think I know you."

Xiao Feng looked up at the towering man's eyes with a mixture of curiosity and amusement. "Wow, how did you get so tall?"

The Giant frowned slightly. "Tall, am I?"

"Truly tall. Were you always this tall?"

"Hey, friend, why do you keep fixating on my height? What business is it of yours whether I'm tall or not?" The Giant's tone sharpened, tinged with irritation.

"No offense—I'm just curious," Xiao Feng replied casually.

With a grunt, the Giant carelessly tossed the trophies from his shoulders onto the ground, then fixed Xiao Feng with an angry glare. "Are you here to cause trouble? Let me tell you, my fists won't go easy on you."

At once, the hunters behind the Giant let out low murmurs of anticipation, knowing their towering comrade was about to teach this stranger a lesson—to leave him beaten and broken.

Xiao Feng turned to the young girls nearby. "Step aside, all of you. Let me have a little sparring match with the Giant."

The girls looked at him anxiously, pleading, "No, don't..."

"You can't fight the Giant—he'll kill you..."

Xiao Feng merely smiled. "Who knows who'll come out on top?"

He addressed the Giant, "Come on, let's spar."

At that moment, Rush, Tu Gou, and Pandora emerged from the grass hut. They stared up at the Giant, astonished by his height, certain this was indeed the person Xiao Feng sought. Watching the Giant prepare to fight stirred their interest—while they knew Xiao Feng's fighting prowess well, they doubted who would triumph in a clash between these two titans.

The Black hunters quickly formed a circle, rallying around their formidable comrade.

The Giant glared fiercely at Xiao Feng. "You punk, looks like you came here asking for a beating." With that, his massive fist thundered down toward Xiao Feng.

With lightning reflexes, Xiao Feng slipped aside, catching the Giant's thick arm with both hands. A faint smile tugged at his lips as he summoned all his strength and executed a powerful shoulder throw, hurling the Giant forcefully to the ground.

The hunters were stunned, their eyes wide as they watched the Giant crash heavily onto the earth.

Without hesitation, the Giant sprang up, roaring furiously as he lunged at Xiao Feng once more.

But Xiao Feng was even swifter. In a blink, he was at the Giant's side, delivering a brutal kick to the ribs that sent the towering man sprawling.

If the first takedown had been luck, this second blow left no room for doubt.

The Giant struggled to rise again. Revered as a war god within the tribe, being repeatedly felled was a grave humiliation. His rage boiled over as he bellowed, "You bastard! I'll kill you!"

Yet before he could strike, Xiao Feng was already beside him, fist raised. With a sharp thud, the punch landed squarely on the Giant's cheek, knocking him down once more.

The hunters were baffled—how could this lean stranger possess such incredible speed and strength? The Giant barely had a chance to retaliate.

Realizing the stranger's might, the Giant's anger turned to grudging respect.

"Feeling my power now, huh?" Xiao Feng chuckled. "Don't let your height and muscle fool you—your fighting skills leave much to be desired."

Breathing heavily, the Giant winced in pain. "Who exactly are you?"

Xiao Feng laughed, rolling up his sleeve to reveal a tattoo. "We're on the same side."

The Giant stared, dumbfounded, before extending his own arm. There, on the thick bicep, was a tattoo—a barcode, incongruous in this wild setting.

Xiao Feng glimpsed the final digits on the Giant's tattoo. "So you really are Number Five..."

"Why do you bear the same mark?"

"Get up. Like I said, we're allies. I'm Number Nine. And I've already found Number Three and Number Six. Would you like to meet them?"

The Giant struggled to his feet, disbelief etched on his face. "There are still Number Three and Six?"

"Yes. I'm not sure how many of us there are in total, but I'll find you all. I feel we're the closest people in this world."

The Giant laughed heartily. "Yeah, we are the closest. I've found my kin!" With that, he suddenly embraced Xiao Feng tightly.

Xiao Feng's expression twisted in mild discomfort. "Hey! Let go! Damn, I'm a perfectly normal guy..."

The Giant chuckled, "Alright then. Tonight, we feast like kings."

Everyone watched with delight as the Giant and the stranger reconciled. In this primal tribe, only true strength commanded respect. The fact that the mighty Giant was no match for Xiao Feng elevated the latter's status immeasurably.

A tribe blessed with such a formidable warrior was destined for greater prosperity.

The Giant turned to the hunters, laughing heartily. "This is my brother now. Hey brother, what's your name?"

"Xiao Feng," he replied to the group.

The Black hunters erupted in cheers. "War God! War God! Xiao Feng... War God!"

Xiao Feng scoffed. "War God, huh? Giant, what's your name?"

"They just call me the Giant. I don't really have a name."

Xiao Feng paused. "Then I'll give you one—you can be called Giant from now on."

"Giant, Giant, alright! Since my brother gave me this name, Giant it is!" he laughed heartily.

At that moment, Rush and the others approached, impressed to see Xiao Feng recruit such a powerful ally.

Xiao Feng introduced them one by one to the Giant. "Rush, Tu Gou, Pandora—our good friends."

Though the Giant appeared somewhat slow-witted, he was far from foolish. He smiled warmly, greeting Rush and the others. "Hello, I'm Giant. From now on, we're all good friends."

"Giant, you really are tall," Rush marveled.

"Don't talk about my height—I get offended," the Giant joked.

"Ha ha ha."

That night, the entire tribe held a grand celebration in honor of the Giant and his newfound comrades. After the elephant was skinned and cleaned, it was roasted over the campfire. Though the flavor left much to be desired, the sheer abundance of meat was a cause for jubilation among the tribe.
