As I casually activate my teleportation ability, a familiar sensation envelops me, and before I know it, I am softly materializing back in the cozy familiarity of my home. With a calm demeanor, I announce, 'I'm back,' letting the words hang in the air.
Katsume, my little sister, beams with delight at my reappearance. 'I missed you, big bro!' she exclaims with uncontainable joy, her eyes sparkling. She rushes towards me and envelops me in a warm embrace, the kind that only a sibling can truly give. 'I take it you took care of the bad guy?' she asks, her voice slightly muffled against my shoulder, her genuine concern evident.
I reply in a soothing voice, 'Don't worry about it; of course I did. But hey, no need to dwell on it, alright? I'm back now.' With that, I affectionately pat her head, my hand resting lightly in her hair, feeling her relief radiate through the brief touch.
However, her joyful expression is soon replaced by a hint of concern. 'But don't leave me hanging like that again, idiot!' she pouts adorably, crossing her arms and turning her back to me, though it's impossible to hide the corners of her lips that are threatening to turn up into a smile.
I chuckle softly at her antics, responding thoughtfully, 'Alright then, I promise I'll do better next time.' I take a moment to pat her head once more, my gesture meant to reassure her of my presence.
