Ava was never meant to matter. Born an omega in a world where only the strong are respected, she was always at the bottom—especially in the Nightshade Pack. "You were refusing to answer me… or should I rather say us?" Lucien said with his usual smug tone.

I didn't even bother turning to look at him.

"And could you just shut the hell up and let us enjoy this evening in silence?" I said, my voice flat and tired.

"I would be so grateful if you can do any of those."

But Lucien—being Lucien—never knew when to shut his damn mouth.

He laughed. "Go fuck yourself," he added, rolling his eyes like the dramatic bastard he was.

I didn't even flinch. That was Lucien for you. Loud. Playful. Annoying. And unfortunately, my brother.

There were four of us—quadruplets. Same blood. But completely different in every other way. And somehow, I always found myself in the middle of their chaos.

I leaned back on the couch, sipping my drink, finally getting a moment of silence… when a knock came on the door.
