Mastermind Behind the Crime

Nadi's mood over the past couple of days was as bright as the weather right now, extremely cheerful.

She never imagined that a casual decision could make her an overnight online sensation. Now, she didn't need to worry about her mother's medical expenses anymore.

"You murderer, go to hell!"

Before Nadi's smile faded, a rotten egg was hurled fiercely at her face.

The foul-smelling egg white trickled from her hair, running down along her cheeks, neck, and clothes.

"What do you mean, calling me a murderer?"

"Damn, is this woman really a murderer?"

Countless eyes turned to look at Nadi at the same time, and all those murmuring discussions filled Nadi's ears.

No.

She was not a murderer.

Nadi wanted to explain when suddenly a group of people arrived. They were all dressed in black suits, strong and sturdy, like a bunch of gangsters. They kicked her drawing board to pieces, tore up her paintings, and crushed the mobile phone she used for live-streaming.

"No!" Nadi screamed shrilly.

The medical fees were due tomorrow. She had planned to earn enough money this afternoon! So they mustn't destroy everything!

Nadi rushed forward, hugging one of the men in black around the leg, looking up pleadingly, "Please stop! This money is to save a life! You can beat me instead! Please, I beg you!"

"Get out of the way." The man in black pulled his leg back and waved his hand, "Smash them all!"

These people were cold-blooded monsters; Nadi's begging was completely useless.

In just five minutes, Nadi's drawing board, mobile phone, and completed works of art were all reduced to a chaotic mess.

Nadi knelt on the ground, trying to piece together those paintings, but it was impossible, they were all destroyed.

Instantly, Nadi felt icy cold all over, as if she'd crawled out of a cellar.

"Ms. Safiya, the appointed time has come. I'm here to collect my painting. May I ask where my painting is?" One of the previous buyers came up to Nadi.

One trouble followed another.

Nadi couldn't dwell on sorrow or pain; she staggered to her feet, "I'm sorry, I've encountered some problems. Can you extend the deadline for a few days? I promise..."

"I'm sorry, but no," the buyer said seriously, "What's wrong with you? You promised firmly earlier, how could you change your mind so easily? I want the painting I pre-ordered today. If you can't produce it, you must pay me ten times the penalty!"

"Boom" That statement was like a thunderclap in clear skies.

Nadi's figure swayed.

A painting costs two hundred dollars, ten times is two thousand! Two thousand dollars was a huge sum for Nadi right now.

"Pay up immediately, or you will end up in jail."

Two years in prison made that place absolutely hellish to Nadi. She couldn't return.

If she went back, what would happen to her mother? She was the only support and hope her mother had.

"I'll pay." Nadi gritted her teeth and managed to get the words out.

Nadi spent five hundred dollars buying two mobile phones, one for live-streaming specifically and the other for daily use.

She took out the phone designated for daily use and opened the live-streaming platform.

In the past few days, she had earned a considerable amount through live-streaming.

However, when she tapped on the live-streaming app, she froze.

Nadi's live-streaming account had been suspended by the authorities, and all the money inside had been frozen and could not be withdrawn!

"What happened? How could this be?" Nadi anxiously poked at the phone screen again and again, but the words "Frozen" remained unchanged.

"Hey, don't tell me you're not going to pay?" The buyer folded his arms arrogantly.

Nadi's ears rang, she couldn't hear anything.

At this moment, only one realization lingered in her mind: all her efforts these past few days were in vain. Not only did she fail to earn her mother's hospital fee, but she also incurred a huge debt.

They always say there is always a way out... Nadi gave a bitter smile, why was fate treating her so harshly? She hadn't done anything wrong!

"No, no," Nadi shook her head and muttered to herself, "There must be someone pulling strings behind the scenes!"

She turned her face instinctively toward the northeast direction, and in a flash, she met a pair of hawk, like eyes filled with frost.

It was Adi!

This whole thing was orchestrated by Adi!
