Nadi felt a surge of revulsion churn in her chest. Was Adi truly that naive? Even now, he still clung to the delusion that she harbored any affection for him.
"Ugh."
Her stomach heaved, and she vomited.
It was an uncontrollable physical reaction.
Adi's words were utterly repulsive!
Love?
Just as Serena had calculated, there was a life, a mother's life, standing between them. How could he think she still loved him? She didn't. Not anymore. Never again.
And besides, her mother had only just been laid to rest; it hadn't even been seven days yet. She wasn't some lovesick fool who would kill for "love" right after losing her mother.
"Adi," she spat, her voice dripping with disdain, "I never realized how utterly foolish you are."
