Stop Fooling Yourself

At Adi's order, people quickly led Nadi away.

As she drew nearer and nearer to the operating room for the abortion, Nadi sank into despair. She called out Adi's name again and again, but until she was fastened onto the operating table in the abortion room, she hadn't seen Adi change his mind.

Then she implored the doctor, who kept a straight face and didn't utter a single word in response.

She entreated the nurse, who bit her lip and shook her head with difficulty.

Nadi begged until her throat was parched and rough, yet it was futile. She couldn't save her child, just as two days ago she couldn't save her mother!

The doctor, perhaps unable to stand Nadi's begging any longer, said, "Mrs. Rahman, you're still young. There will be plenty more chances for children in the future. One shouldn't be so obstinate in life. Don't blame us. We have no choice but to follow orders."
