The couple look too familiar, but not. They have the same fair complexion as their sister, Sarah. Same blue eyes, only theirs are still alight with life, but heavy with grief. Wade was of average build, at a hight of 6 feet, with a veery profeessional atire. Well-pressed blue-black suit and shirt, with his immaculate hair combed to the side. While Jennifer was more on the small size at may be 5 foot 1, slightly shorter than her sister. She is lean, but in a healthy way, light on her feet. Someone who is light enough to travel a lot, I guess.
"Mr. Brown, we've been waiting for you for a while now. Any news about our sister's case?" Wade starts.
"Mr. and Ms. Parker. Thank you for visiting me today. Let me start by asking about your relationship with Sarah. Were you close?"
Jennifer whimpered, slightly hesitant and taken aback. Is she feeling guilty about something? From what Jane told me, the were not that close. But they did not have a bad relationship either.
However, she sat back sighing, and started "We were very close, long ago.", she said with another heavy sigh, looking far away, time travelling to that moment in time, "But... I'm afraid we drifted apart through the years, after our parents passed away. All of us." she added, eyeing her brother. "She had her job here, Wade has his job and family in DC, and I like to see the world. We meet on the holidays, but it is more of a routine meeting than a real family gathering."
Well, I can see nothing helpful here! But I can see why she feels guilty. Guess time was against her getting back the old relationship with her sister. They always say, tell your loved ones how you feel about them, before it gets too late. Guess this is a live proof of that.
One thing I know, is that my relationships with people need to change... Before it is too late... Way too late.
I wrap up the meeting and return home to grab my boxed up dinner, pop it into the microwave, have a drink, and go to sleep.
