The Pantheon of Gods dethroned the Titan Race, ushering a new age called the Era of Gods.
In this Era, the Gods decided to create a new race in their own image and have this race serve them. This race was called the Mortal Race. However, in a twist of fate, these beings known as Mortals not only inherited the Gods' image, but also their ambition.
Thus, the Mortals who was once deemed as an inferior race by the Gods created a method of cultivating the world's natural energy to become Immortals and stand next to the Gods.
The Jade Emperor, the strongest of the Immortals, besiege the Pantheon of Gods and carved out a place at the summit for Mortals, allowing them to become one of the Divine Races, along with the God Race, the Celestial Race, and the Titan Race.
However, in retaliation, the Gods divided the world into the Heavenly Realm, and the countless Mortal Realms before casting all the Mortals down to the Mortal Realms. They then blocked their ascension to the Heavenly Realm and their path of cultivating to Immortality, by cursing their entire race to face a series of Heavenly Tribulations.
That event was a very, very long time ago. So long ago that the story was all but lost in the history of the Mortal Realms.

This is a rewrite of the novel The Growth of Titan, and honestly, I don't know what to expect this time around. The reason why I stopped writing TGT a year ago was because I was coming off of writing another book for nearly two years, and adding that to writing TGT for a year, that's three years of writing straight with the days I didn't upload adding up to less than two months. I was burnt out mentally despite having a not so detailed, but complete outline of TGT. Due to that experience, I thought that I should do things differently when I wrote my next book. Like writing a clear outline, beginning middle, and end. Don't go beyond five hundred chapters so to avoid burn out, and lastly, write the entire book before publishing it so as to avoid readers getting disappointed if I drop the book for whatever reason. I did this for my zombie novel (the rewritten version), and I found the experience enjoyable. So, moving forward, what I want to do for this book's rewritten version is that while posting the edited version of the existing chapters, I'll try to write the book to completion. I think it's possible, or at least I could reach the point of almost completing the book. Anyway, that's all I wanted to say for old readers. As for new readers, if you like the troupe's associated with Cultivation Novels but don't like the cliche scenes, then you'll either like this book for its novelty, or hate it because it's trying to be too different. I hope you guys will leave a review or comment to let me know which is which for you. Cultivation Troupes = Mc has a special bloodline, or Mc has a mysterious background, maybe both. (Predictable but Tolerable) Cultivation Cliches = Mc uses special bloodline to secretly level up and defeat arrogant Young Master courting death. (Annoying and Overused)
