Klera's Point of View
After finishing dinner in the Grand Hall with Raven and Hebrew, I returned to my dormitory, my mind still buzzing with the events of the day. Now I lie on my bed, resting my body, but my thoughts wander—drifting back to what unfolded during class.
I replay every moment: the sparks of power, the showcase of abilities, the rush of excitement and uncertainty. Watching the others demonstrate their psychic gifts stirred something in me—curiosity, awe, maybe even a little pressure. But also a sense of purpose.
As I stare up at the ceiling, I wonder what lies ahead. One thing is clear: today wasn't just another class. It was the beginning of something bigger.
Replication, Levitation, Tracking, Extrasensory Boost, Memory Manipulation, Reality Alteration, and Time Manipulation. These are the abilities my fellow Psychic students proudly wield—each one unique, powerful, and dazzling in its own way. I had such fun witnessing their demonstrations in class, marveling at how effortlessly they shaped the world around them.
Part of me wonders...can my Mental Enhancement truly stand against all of that?
But Headmistress Ophelia reminded us: "Every ability has its path—it grows, adapts, and evolves over time." With patience and focus, even the mind can surpass the elements, outwit the wild, and resist the impossible.
I look forward to unlocking more—refining my thoughts, sharpening my will, and discovering specialized abilities hidden deep within. With time, I know that Mental Enhancement will grow beyond its limits.
I glance at my Tome once more, flipping through the pages filled with abilities, descriptions, and whispered incantations. Each line feels like it holds a secret just waiting to awaken.
Well... I'd probably be dead if I revealed my abilities too soon, right? We'll focus on rage-baiting and leaving Cliffhangers to our readers. Wouldn't want to ruin the mystery—not yet.
And let's be real—if I spoiled it this early, the Author might drop a lightning bolt on me. Or worse, reduce my screen time.
There's still a big day ahead tomorrow. Another class, more surprises, maybe even a few breakthroughs. I gently close the Tome and set it aside, its pages softly glowing as if even it needs rest.
With a quiet sigh, I lay back and let my body relax, letting the weight of the day fade into silence. Whatever comes next... I'll be ready for it in the morning.
Fast Forward
Here we go again—the second day of class.
The morning sun shone through my dormitory window, casting a warm glow on the stone walls. I needed to hurry. Raven, Hebrew, and I had made a deal: we'd always eat together before and after class, no matter what.
I took a quick, refreshing shower to shake off the sleep, then pulled my uniform from the wardrobe and got dressed. Just as I was adjusting the collar—
Knock. Knock. Knock.
"Klera, let's go!" Hebrew's voice boomed through the door, loud as always. He never just knocked like a normal person.
I checked myself in the mirror. My hair looked okay, my uniform was neat—I looked decent. Satisfied, I grabbed my Tome from the bed, stepped outside, and locked the door behind me.
Raven and Hebrew were already waiting, both looking ready to take on the day.
As we walked down the stairs together, we started chatting about yesterday's class.
"What did you do in your first class?" I asked them.
"Nothing much," Raven said with a shrug. "They taught us how to dispel and conjure our magic weapons or items." She lifted her hand, and a reddish glow flickered around her fingers. In an instant, her heart-shaped red bow, crafted with meticulous detail and its curves smooth and elegant, appeared out of thin air.
I stared in surprise.
"We're only allowed to use wooden arrows for now," she explained. "We can't conjure magical ones yet—not until we level up or something."
"Same for me," Hebrew added. "Our Master taught us how to dispel and conjure our Rods and Staffs. But the ones with Wands? They just clip them to their satchel belts." He pointed to his side, where his own Tome were neatly strapped.
As we arrived at the Grand Hall, the scent of freshly baked bread and warm stew greeted us. The place was already buzzing with life—students filled the long tables, chatting, laughing, and enjoying their meals. Some were halfway through breakfast, while others were still lining up near the food counters, holding trays and deciding what to eat.
We made our way to the table, and breakfast was already served. Plates filled with warm bread, eggs, and fruit lined the table, the aroma making my stomach growl. The food looked fresh—probably just conjured or enchanted by the kitchen staff moments ago. We took our seats, ready to eat and fuel up for another day of magic and surprises.
I was just about to swallow my food when a familiar voice interrupted us.
"Can I join you guys?" Clifton asked, standing beside our table.
The two sitting across from me—Raven and Hebrew—widened their eyes like they had just seen a ghost... or worse, an unexpected guest.
"Yeah... you're Klera's lover, right?" Hebrew teased, grinning like an idiot.
I nearly choked on my bread.
We ended up eating together anyway. The mood was light, and surprisingly, Clifton didn't make things awkward. After breakfast, we headed off toward our classrooms. Raven and Hebrew trailed behind, still chatting and laughing.
"Klera's got a lover~" Hebrew sang, repeating it over and over like it was the Academy's new anthem.
I spun around and chased him off before he could embarrass me even more. Laughing, he bolted down the Right Hallway—where the Mage Tower, his classroom, was located.
Please, Author… if I'm destined to have a lover in this story... just not him. I prayed for whoever is writing this story.
Raven, Clifton, and I continued walking down the Hallway until we reached the point where our paths split.
"See you after class," she said, turning down the path that led to the Marksman Haven—her classroom was a little farther than mine.
I waved goodbye and headed toward the Psychic Pavilion door, ready to begin the next lesson.
When Raven disappeared down the Hallway, Clifton was left standing beside me. He gave an awkward smile.
"Sorry... I felt really guilty about yesterday. Embarrassing you like that."
Yeah, well... there's something else you should feel guilty about— In case you didn't know, your Father's been giving my village a hard time. That's what you should be apologizing for.
"Now, take your seats, class," a firm voice cut through the room, snapping our attention back to reality.
We quickly began making our way to our seats, the light chatter fading into silence as the lesson was about to begin.
"Now, class, listen up," Master Felicia said, her voice echoed through the room, calm but commanding. "We won't be having our regular lesson today. Instead, I'm leaving you under the guidance of my assistant."
A few students glanced at each other, murmuring in curiosity.
"She will be handling your training for the rest of today—and tomorrow—as you prepare for your upcoming Two-versus-Two match."
That got everyone's attention.
"You have two days. Train hard, Experiment, Refine your abilities. Learn powerful abilities that not only elevate your strength but also harmonize with a partner, because when the time comes… I expect to see the better version of you."
With that, Master Felicia turned toward the door. "Good luck," she added simply, before stepping out and leaving us with her Assistant and a nervous excitement.
To be continued...
