Chapter 9
The common
Shiro and Aeris were in the white room. Aeris was commanding the room to take shape. Multiple targets appeared moving in different directions. Pulling out her revolver, she takes aim, shooting at each target with great accuracy.
Shiro grabbed his katana and started to swing it. My connection is starting to fade even more Shiro thinks to himself, while training Shiro was in a deep state of thinking. The dreams I have been having are bizarre. From my understanding my dream takes place centuries ago, way before the world changed. I was in the perspective of Azael, he had a gambling issue and couldn't take responsibility for it, he had a blood manipulation, and the place was different.
The sky was gray, and the sun was scattered in fragments. Myrrh never told us where this unknown place was. I'll have to ask him. As sweat rolled down Shiro's face, his thoughts faded. Sitting down on the wall of the white room Aeris noticed.
"Have you been to your Inner Realm?" Her voice is raspy clearly showing fatigue.
"Domain?" Shiro was surprised to know such a thing like that exists. Aeris was also surprised to know how clueless Shiro was saying in an irritated tone. She says "A Inner Realm is a place where you can talk to your god, see them, spar with them, you will be able to do this once your connection grows stronger," makes sense now Shiro thinks to himself he didn't know this since his sister never let him train his god. "Well since I couldn't train with my god I didn't know such things," with a sigh Shiro heads out.
Still having some free time before having more work to do he walks into the academy library. It was beautiful the floor was a white wood same with the walls, dark brown shelves in rows, books of different colors lined perfectly. In the middle a tall white pillar stood where it reached the roof almost the size of a skyscraper, the white pillar had vines growing on it, warping around the pillar were light brown stairs that led to higher areas, to the far right a huge white window with gold highlights illuminated the library. Rays of light sweeping from the window shined brightly on the pillar. Shiro seeing such a library wanted to cry, thinking humans thought of this.
Walking up to a particular bookshelf, looking for a god named Azael, Shiro started off on the left side, with many gods and their history. Half of the library is fully made of only gods. While Shiro was looking for the right book he accidentally bumped into a girl. She had light pink hair, black highlights, her face was pale, it looked soft, even though the girl looked innocent Shiro felt an eerie presence coming from her, those dark black eyes they looked like hollow voids.
How could her eyes look so hollow? Shiro thought to himself.
The girl looked scared, reaching out his hand to pick up the girl and her hand felt soft like a pillow "Thank you!" She had a smile on her face, "Mind I ask you what your name is?" Shiro gave his name, "Oh you're that common," the girl was surprised to see Shiro, Shiro felt a little disrespected but didn't take it any further "And yours?"
The girl put her hand on her chest, "Well I am, Kaela Raelith nice to meet you commoner," Shiro's face started to turn red by being called a commoner again "I have a name!" Kaela apologized.
"Anyway do you know the god named Azael?" Kaelia looked at Shiro, putting her hands on her mouth as she examined the books. "I don't think I know a god named Azael." Shiro was disappointed, looking at his phone noticing he had minutes left before class.
His eyes widen realizing he is going to be late, running out of the library. "Strange" Kaela whispers to herself. A big smile appears on Kaela's face grabbing a book that was hidden the title being God 438 Azael.
Running into the classroom Shiro sat down. The class was full of people chattering to each other, all of the classrooms looked the same. Rubbing his temple Shiro didn't want to attend this classroom, it was sparing again, a teacher that looks like a mountain walk into the classroom, the chatters disappear. The teacher's craggy brown hair, and light brown eyes, he wore a black compression shirt, with black shorts, " As you know, I'm Garron Voss you low lives are like shit under my boots, unless you can gain highest respect in this class you're nothing."
Garron pointed at the training arena that was outside the window, Shiro walked with the group of students outside, the wind felt cold, Garron yelled "Pick your training partner!"
Shiro was left alone, Aurelia was in a different class working on fage, grabbing a katana when he heard a voice behind him, "You want to go common?" The guy behind him said in a smug tone sounding like he's mocking him.
Shiro didn't take it personal and agreed, but unlike the fight with Aurelia everyone was watching Shiro, even Garron the atmosphere was silent, the guy had blue hair, green eyes, he had a smirk that pissed Shiro. All eyes were on Shiro making him sweat, the guy didn't have a weapon, feeling a hint of fatigue the guy's arm turned into a katana, Shiro was surprised.
Everyone was cheering on the opponent. "Go Luis," they all yelled, hearing the timer 3,2,1, GO. Shiro burst off the ground at incredible speed, it sends shivers down Luis spine. Grabbing the hilt, he performs an upward slash. Luis barely dodges it, the sword taking pieces of hair off, the crowd was impressed by his speed, Luis thrust his skin sword toward Shiro's chest.
Shiro stepped to the side, and quickly send a fist flying at him, punching Luis in the face blood spilled from his nose. Luis felt angered that such a commoner did the damage to him.
Luis catches his balance, forming another sword from his free hand, lunging at Shiro Luis raises his skin-made sword above his head. Shiro already predicted his attack, parried the slash, pushing back Luis Shiro swings at his arm.
Luis arm rolled with blood , the crowd started to cheer Shiro saying "Commoner!" The disrespect Shiro thought to himself, his face paled. Luis looked around and saw everyone being surprised even Garron, whom Luis tried to impress. Yelling Luis extends his swords almost reaching 7 feet tall, falling the two swords onto Shiro, he dashes toward Luis, Shiro dodges the first sword, the second one right above him. Grabbing the hilt Shiro jumps and parries the incoming sword.
Sparks fly everywhere. After parrying, Shiro spins, kicks Luis in the face, and knocks him back. Shiro then runs to Luis, stabs him in the leg with the katana, and blood spills everywhere as Luis yells in pain and begs for mercy.
The match ended there.
