Chapter 5: Joining the clinic
Ten minutes later.
The two rabbits lay on the ground, completely submissive, their bodies covered in blood, and their fur blackened from the explosions.
Ayaan wiped the sweat from his forehead, a look of lingering fear on his face.
"If I hadn't brought the detonating tags, I probably wouldn't have been able to defeat these two rabbits. Damn, their physiques are probably more terrifying than those of physical-training-type Jonin!"
Of course, a ninja's combat ability isn't based solely on physical fitness—it also relies heavily on chakra. So, physical strength alone doesn't mean much in the Naruto world.
But it was obvious that the One Piece world was completely different. Here, both humans and animals have a physical limit far beyond that of the Naruto world.
If you think about it, it makes sense. People in the Naruto world are already vastly different from real-world humans. Their cells are said to be one or two times denser than normal, and they possess the chakra power system inherited from the extraterrestrial Ōtsutsuki clan.
Meanwhile, the difference between people in the pirate world and those in the real world is even greater. When it comes to monsters like Kaido and Charlotte Linlin, claiming they share the same genes as normal humans is simply insulting to anyone's intelligence.
Take Hatake Kakashi, for example. He went to the battlefield and became a Genin at age five—that was considered extreme. But Charlotte Linlin destroyed a village of giants at the same age. That kind of feat is simply unimaginable in the Naruto world.
In reality, Ayaan's battle with the two rabbits wasn't very dangerous. The rabbits couldn't land a hit on him, and he couldn't do much damage to them either.
Chakra boosts speed, agility, and reflexes. Ayaan had focused heavily on these aspects since childhood. No matter how powerful the rabbits were, it was meaningless if they couldn't land a hit.
Of course, Ayaan's kunai could only barely pierce their skin, and might not even reach the muscles. Even his high-quality samurai sword only managed to draw a bit of blood.
In the end, Ayaan had to resort to using his precious detonating tags to finish the battle. Only then did he manage to defeat the two rabbits.
However, after being knocked down, the rabbits had a complete change of attitude and became strangely obedient, as if acknowledging Ayaan as their master.
Ayaan wasn't too surprised. He vaguely remembered that animals in the One Piece world were often like that—once you beat them into submission, they would start following you.
Not only that, these two rabbits were very intelligent. When Ayaan asked them to lead the way, they understood and guided him straight to the outskirts of a nearby town.
"Alright, you two can go now." After reaching his destination, Ayaan waved to the rabbits and used a hemostasis technique to treat their wounds. Only then did the two rabbits reluctantly say goodbye.
In the Naruto world, Ayaan's hemostatic technique was only good enough for basic first aid. But after being treated, the rabbits were almost completely healed. Their physical resilience was so abnormal that it left Ayaan stunned.
"These two rabbits have such monstrous physiques. No wonder the main characters in One Piece recover from serious injuries in just a few days."
"Everyone in this world is a monster…"
With that thought, Ayaan walked into the town.
The town wasn't particularly lively. It was snowy and cold, so not many people were walking around outside.
Still, judging by the expressions and clothes of the townspeople, they seemed to be living fairly well. No one looked especially happy, but no one seemed miserable either. Their clothing wasn't luxurious, but it was warm, and no one looked malnourished.
"These people are doing okay. And there are quite a few clinics around... Looks like the Baku Baku no Mi ( Munch-Munch Fruit )user hasn't appeared yet!"
Ayaan vaguely remembered that the king of this country had eaten a ridiculously powerful Baku Baku no Mi—but used it in the most idiotic way possible.
When he became king, he supposedly drove out all the doctors and ruined the country's healthcare system.
Even among the many infamous kings in the One Piece world, that guy might be the worst.
Seeing that the tyrant hadn't come to power yet and that Drum Kingdom was still a hub of medical advancement made Ayaan quite happy. As a medical ninja, he was deeply curious about One Piece's medical techniques. The technology here could practically be called black magic.
If he could combine it with his own medical ninjutsu, it would significantly enhance his abilities.
At the same time, he could hear murmurs from the townspeople around him.
"Where did that kid come from?"
"He's wearing so little… is he homeless?"
"He looks so pitiful…"
Ayaan's mouth twitched, but he ignored them and made his way to the largest clinic in town.
Although he wanted to find Dr. Kureha—the legendary 100-year-old doctor—to learn medicine from her, everything had to be done step-by-step. For now, he needed to understand the basic medical knowledge of this world and compare it with what he already knew.
"Little boy, are you sick?" Inside the clinic, a muscular man in a tight white coat—who looked more like a butcher than a doctor—looked at Ayaan curiously.
"No, doctor. Are you accepting apprentices? I'd like to become one."
"Apprentice?" The burly doctor glanced at the small Ayaan and waved his hand dismissively. "Are you kidding? We don't need—"
"What we need most is an apprentice!" A beautiful nurse with blonde hair, blue eyes, and a curvy figure walked in. When she saw Ayaan—young, cute, and surprisingly mature—her face lit up with a maternal glow.
In the Naruto world, Ayaan's appearance was just average. But in the One Piece world, he was considered a good-looking boy.
After all, the average male appearance in this world was... debatable. Though the women were often stunning, the men's looks were another story.
"Ahem…" The doctor cleared his throat awkwardly, but when the nurse looked at him, her eyes sharp, he immediately straightened up.
"Well... uh... Welcome! Kid, you're officially our apprentice now!"
Ayaan raised his eyebrows in surprise.
It seemed the nurse was the real authority here. Then again, this was the world of One Piece—a far more colorful and chaotic world than the serious and often dark Naruto universe. This kind of situation wasn't surprising at all.
