Ch 58: Obtaining Kamui

Chapter 58: Obtaining the Eye of Divine Power

Looking into the distance, the Nine-Tailed Fox was no longer visible, though the sound of battle still echoed faintly.

"Has it been driven out of the village? It shouldn't have been sealed yet," Ayaan mused. "Perfect timing to see if I can scavenge something useful."

With a flicker, Ayaan vanished from the scene, leaving only a trail of destruction behind. He patted the dust off himself and disappeared.

Moments after he left, a translucent figure materialized—Danzo, pale and panting in terror.

"Thank goodness I prepared Izanagi… Damn it, the Sharingan I worked so hard to obtain is gone! Who the hell was that guy? What does he want?"

Looking around, Danzo's expression twisted in despair.

Ayaan's precision strike to the chakra points had all but annihilated the Root division. Most operatives were dead, their base was gone, and with it—every scroll, classified technique, experimental subject, and valuable research Danzo had hoarded over decades.

In a single day, everything was gone. All that remained was his life.

Meanwhile, Ayaan had reached the outskirts of the Nine-Tails battlefield. His keen gaze surveyed the chaos beyond the barrier—though nothing was directly visible, the roars of the Tailed Beast still reverberated.

To his surprise, Uchiha Fugaku was among the defenders. Blood tears streamed from his eyes—he was using the Mangekyō Sharingan.

"Trying to control the Nine-Tails? Looks like he failed."

Obito had succeeded because Uchiha Madara had previously made a summoning pact with the beast and had the Eternal Mangekyō. Madara was also Indra's reincarnation—his ocular power far exceeded even an evolved Sharingan.

Fugaku's attempt to dominate the Nine-Tails was like trying to smash a boulder with an egg.

The rest of the Konoha ninjas looked severely injured and exhausted—testament to their clash with the beast.

Seeing this, Ayaan didn't hesitate. He stepped forward.

"Who's there?!"

Ayaan made no effort to hide his presence, and the elite Konoha ninja quickly spotted him.

But Ayaan had no intention of talking. He came to rob them—and he had no love for Konoha. Fists would speak louder than words.

Dark mist erupted around him, shrouding the battlefield. When a few tentative attacks were swallowed by the fog, the enemy ninjas quickly withdrew, alarmed.

Though injured, these ninjas were still much stronger than Root operatives. Anyone fighting the Nine-Tails was at least tokubetsu jōnin—their experience and strength far surpassed ordinary shinobi.

"Extend, Nyoi-bō!" the Third Hokage yelled. His adamantine staff grew large and crashed down with force.

Ayaan didn't flinch. The black fog of the Yami Yami no Mi and his Armament Haki covered his arms as he punched forward.

The moment the staff struck the mist, the impact vanished. Ayaan's Haki-imbued fist struck the staff—and cracks formed.

The mist surged into the fissures, draining blood.

Poof! The summoning technique failed, and the adamantine staff vanished. The Third Hokage stood awkwardly, empty-handed.

The staff was Enma, his personal summon, and said to be indestructible. That it was shattered and grievously wounded by Ayaan's technique meant Enma had to be forcefully unsummoned to save its life.

"Watch out! He's no ordinary ninja!" the Third Hokage warned—but that was already obvious.

After all, this was the same staff that once fought the Nine-Tails head-on, and now it had been overwhelmed in one blow.

Ninjutsu barraged Ayaan from all sides. He didn't dodge. The black mist consumed most attacks, and he tanked the rest using Armament Haki and Tekkai (Iron Body).

The combined might of the Konoha shinobi couldn't hurt him. Then, suddenly, a flash of lightning pierced through the smoke and stabbed into Ayaan's chest.

"It hurts!" Ayaan flinched and reached out, grabbing the lightning. Activating the Yami Yami no Mi, he absorbed most of the attacker's chakra, revealing a silver-haired teen around thirteen or fourteen years old.

Though Ayaan exclaimed about the pain, no blood was visible. He had merely suffered a slight internal jolt.

"Right… forgot about that," he muttered. "The Yami Yami no Mi's biggest weakness—the pain hits harder than normal. I really need to rewire my pain receptors next time."

Looking up, Ayaan recognized the attacker—his former classmate, Hatake Kakashi.

They were in the same academy, but barely interacted. Kakashi was a prodigy; Ayaan had been placed in a standard class. Ayaan remembered him well—but Kakashi surely wouldn't remember Ayaan.

Kakashi's chakra was completely drained, and he couldn't move. Ayaan casually reached over and plucked out the young man's Sharingan, absorbing it into the darkness.

He tossed Kakashi aside, sparing his life. He liked the character in the manga, so he let him live.

The moment the Sharingan entered his dark space, Ayaan felt a powerful surge—his ability to traverse worlds responded.

"If I had Obito's eye… I might be able to make this world my base, just like I did after eating the Yami Yami no Mi."

But then he paused. "No… someone is manipulating this world from the shadows. Unless I kill Black Zetsu or destroy the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path and the Rinnegan, I can't fully change the future timeline."

These thoughts passed quickly. Right now, everyone was stunned—Ayaan stood unscathed after surviving all their attacks.

But Ayaan wasn't one to take beatings passively. Even with his Devil Fruit, Haki, and Tekkai, he knew it wasn't foolproof.

Setting aside arrogance, Ayaan burst into action. His body blurred—he was impossibly fast. Before the Konoha ninjas could react, several jonin were knocked out in an instant, blood spraying.

In terms of ninjutsu, Ayaan's chakra was immense, but his knowledge was basic—only standard elemental techniques. That limited him to the upper tier of jonin or lower tier of kage-level in ninjutsu.

But in taijutsu?

At this point in time, even Maito Gai—the man who would one day nearly kill Madara—was still just a boy.

And in this era, Ayaan could confidently claim to be the greatest taijutsu user in the ninja world.
