CH 5

Arta walked through the halls regardless of the chaos around her. She was already overusing her ability as countless bombs outside and inside the academy was contained.

Though that was done, there were still bombs that did activate due to suicide bombers. The academy was already infiltrated and there was not much she could do momentarily.

From what she had observed, the situation was still contained. The professors here were really not to be trifled with. They had insane power despite the disabilities they might have. Of course, the academy is the perfect place to extract a disabled mage's value rather than sending them to their deaths.

Additionally, there were mages that were nearby and had been acting as reinforcements. Manpower should have arrived, however, the scheme was truly thorough to limit entry and exit from and to the academy.

Now, phase 4.

Phase 4 is to try to re-activate the defense seals of the academy. It's a method to deter death and other unexpected determinants. So what and where is the interference coming from.

In a precise manner, further wisps of smoke were released from her fingertips that rapidly spread throughout and beyond.

...

Heinwick was not to be this year's facilitating speaker. Yet, here he was. Death has welcomed another one of his compatriots leading to this vacancy. The war really does take too much. Last winter's ceasefire was not enough to replenish supplies and the needed manpower. Year by year they needed more mages to defend and fight this war.

Standing infront of him were the ones who he'd have to face death with eventually. Though young, they'd have to fight for their lives or at least have the ability to do so.

Such was their world...

...it doesn't have to be..., peace will come. It's only a matter of time.

However, there was something wrong at the present. He'd been stretching his etherun from the moment he entered the academy. He was a paranoid shit that had instincts that kept him and his comrades alive.

His clone was giving the speech as he allowed himself to focus on alienating the cause of danger. There was also something odd on the circulation of etherun in the academy. He couldn't determine the cause but it was enough reason to be of concern.

"And fina..."

"AAHHHH!!!"

A loud explosion was heard with the screams of children mixed in. The speech was abruptly stopped as Heinwick activated a wide-level defense magic that covered the main hall.

"Ah, another day of this shitty world"

A layer of blue fog covered Heinwick's hand as he stretched it infront. Wisps of etherun run amok to send messages of defend and retreat reaching the idled minds of recognized professors.

Such was what it was. The screams' seemed to be a signal for the start of something. The academy's defenses are down and none of them were the wiser. There would have to be a strong seal specialist running amok. He's worried on the implications of such information.

A layer of blue that surrounded the main hall flashed before falling into obscurity.

Now..., everyone who comes in is in his domain.
