Of Course It Can't Be That Easy

Moro was walking with Milk in the hallway. People were staring at them as they walked and keeping they're distance. They knew Milk had a black ranked kudo under her belt. It made many people fear her, and most didn't even try to talk to her. But Milk defeating the kurega in one shot didn't make things easier for her. She simply killed it because it was hurting others, but people didn't see that. They just say the fact that she killed a threat, which makes her a bigger threat.

The worst part was how timid she was. Milk may act bold around Moro and the rest of her friends, but in truth, she was very unconfrontational. When all eyes were on her, she felt like she would pass out. And when new people talk to her, she often gets nervous and freezes up or says the wrong things.

She hid behind Moro as she walked to her next class. After Moro walked away, Uvie approached him. Though she was holding crutches as she walked. Her legs didn't look broken, but her hips looked almost stretched out.

"What the hell happened to you?" Moro said while looking at her lower half.

"You know how I was making a monster boy harem?"

"Yeah."

"Well, every night, I have 'fun' with them. As you know, I've collected around 85 members for my harem at this point. Usually, I'll do 4 or 5 a day, because, you know, I'm horny. But I thought, 'you know, what if I tried to do all 85 in one night?' As a result, my hips got displaced and my womb got ruptured."

"First off, TMI. Why am I friends with you again?"

"Oh, by the way, I wanted to ask you something. Do you want to come to my party in a week? It's down by the beach."

"Oh, sure."

A week passed by fast. Moro had woken up to the scent of fresh strawberries in his house. He went into his kitchen to see Eternity making a strawberry shortcake. She turned to Moro. "Will Ms. Uvie find this acceptable for her birthday gift from me?"

"I'm sure she will."

Moro rode on Rada's back as he soared across the city. As he looked around him in the sky, he noticed how incredibly clear it was. It was so freeing.

"Looks like they finally got rid of all those lorkon. Good thing too. They were starting to get annoying... Speaking of annoying, I hope those people stopped annoying Milk."

Rada's eyes looked back at his master.

"Humans love power. It gives you control and access to your desires. I, for one, never really cared about power. But Milk is even more so. She hates it. She just wanted to live a normal life. I directionless girl with no goal in mind. But people don't see her as a girl. Not in the way me, Calvin, and Uvie do. They just see her as a threat. And I don't blame those people. A nation's power is dependent on how many red and black ranked kudos are tamed in them. There are 9 different black ranked kudo classes and 20 black ranked kudos in the world. Each has the power to destroy the world, or even potentially, all of reality. Most world leaders would train their entire military for just one black ranked kudo. And yet, all that power ended up with some random shy teenage girl who lived in some random city."

Rada whipped Moro with his tail, telling him to shut up.

"Ow. Well, aren't you in a splendid mood? Sorry for talking so much. But I do feel bad for her. Even for me, just having Eternity gets me concerned Looks from people. I could bury this entire country if I wanted, but I don't, and most people with my power agree. I just wish people could be normal for once. See us red and black rankers as human instead of walking nukes... huh?"

Rada stopped far above the beach where they were supposed to meet Uvie for her birthday. But the beach was empty. Too empty.

"Huh, Rada. Take us down."

Rada dive bombed towards the sand, stopping right before he collided with the beach. Moro hopped off his back. He bent down and touched the sand. He sniffed it, then licked it, and gagged. He looked into the distance and saw that the day had turned into night. The sky was filled with stars.

"This isn't a beach, is it?"

Suddenly, the ground started to shake. Suddenly, the ground started to come up, and both Moro and Rada slid down its side. When the ground fully emerged, it was revealed not to be ground at all. It was a kudo. An anthropomorphic dragon woman with golden-orange scales, long brown hair, and teal eyes with slit pupils. She had large wings with a tan membrane, dark brown horns curving back from her head, and sharp white claws. Her body was thick and curvy with a large bust and wide hips. She wore a black, jewel-accented bikini top with metal chain details, a matching bottom, and a green gemstone necklace. Dark diamond-shaped markings decorated her upper arm and thigh.

"It's a Naruon. Isn't your kind supposed to be extinct?"

The 5,000 meter tall Naruon looked down at them. "Why is a human here?"

Moro looked around him. "This doesn't seem like Earth."

"Earth? You mean the human world?"

"Y-Yeah. I guess so. Where am I, actually?"

"You're on Pluto, why?"

"Wait... say that again?"

"Pluto. That planet. Home to all kudos. Or, at least the original home before they decided to migrate to Earth several centuries ago."

"You've gotta be joking."

"I'm not. And what's a human like you doing all the way out here anyways?"

"I... guess I got lost." Moro reached his hand out and summoned Eternity. She opened her eyes, looking around her with her usual straight face and black expression.

"Master, what did you do?"

"Scold me later. I know you can hear the outside world while you're in my head. Can you get us back to earth?"

"Of course I can."

"Wait," the Naruon woman called out. She grabbed a giant egg that was neatly twice Moro's own height. "Can you take care of this for me?"

"What is it?" Moro asked.

"It's a Naruon egg. She'll hatch soon. And I want her to grow up on Earth?"

"Ok, but why?"

"Over 75% of kudos left when the great migration happened. Because of this, most of the kudos that managed the Naruon food supply left. I only have enough to feed myself and my brother. But this little one won't be able to survive."

"I see. Ok then."

"Master, are you sure?" asked a concerned Eternity. "Naruon adults are white rank. Not because their power is up for debate, but because they're the closest between the red and black ranks. Their size alone-"

Moro made a mocking mouth motion with his hand. "Yap yap yap, quiet woman. Listen, I think you know as well as I do that this is quite the opportunity. Plus, it could be interesting. Besides, this woman clearly wants this child to live. You know me, so you should know I'll make sure that happens. Though, since Scorch is still out on his mission, I'll have to tell him when he comes back."

"Ok, master. I trust you. But before careful. Those things, when fully grown, because twice the size of Earth."

"Noted."

With a snap of her finger, Eternity transported them and the egg back to Earth.

"Eternity, since distance is borderline irrelevant to you, do you think you could do some research on that translucent slit in the sky?" Moro pointed to the sky. Despite it being a completely clear day, there was a strong gust of when in that small location high in the sky. "It seemed to be some sort of gateway."

"That's not just a gateway. That's a space-time rift created by a... Master, I think Milk made that."

"What?"

"I think Bread and Butter potentially ripped a part a sheet of infinite space and eternal time, making a small portal to the other side of the solar system."

"And this is why people fear black ranked kudos. Looks like I missed Uvie's party too... and about 2 days' worth of time. I should apologize to my group for my part in our project."
