"How dare you get close to her?" Rhys growled, pushing the boy against the brick wall with such force I heard the sickening thud of his head hitting the surface.
The boy's eyes widened in terror as blood began to trickle down the side of his face. "Is she with you? I didn't know she was yours, Alpha Knight, I swear!"
I stood frozen, watching the scene unfold before me. My wet shirt clung uncomfortably to my skin, but that discomfort was nothing compared to the shock of seeing Rhys's violence. He'd always been intimidating, but this was another level entirely. His eyes glowed crimson with barely restrained fury, his muscles tensed like a predator ready to kill.
"Rhys, stop," I whispered. "He's bleeding."
Rhys's head snapped toward me, his gaze immediately dropping to the dark stain on my white top. His eyes narrowed dangerously.
"Are you hurt?" he demanded, still holding the boy by his throat.
I shook my head quickly. "No, it's just beer. He spilled—"
