I checked my watch for the fifth time in an hour. The deadline for the winter collection was closing in, and I still had three designs to finalize. My fingers ached from sketching all day, but there was no time to rest.
"You look like you're about to collapse," Seraphina said, leaning against my doorframe. Her platinum blonde hair cascaded over one shoulder, styled perfectly as always despite the late hour.
"Just tired," I replied, rubbing my eyes. "This collection has to be perfect."
"Everything you design is perfect," Sera insisted, walking in and perching on the edge of my desk. "But even fashion geniuses need to sleep sometimes."
I sighed, putting my pencil down. "I know. I'll wrap up in an hour, promise."
Sera's eyes twinkled mischievously. "So... is your tall, dark, and powerful boyfriend coming to the reunion next month?"
"He's not my—" I stopped myself. I wasn't sure what Orion was to me exactly. Partner? Alpha? More? "I haven't asked him yet."
