Chapter 48: Rage Quit

As the door was pried open Adam took a look inside and saw that the lift seemed to be at the very bottom of the shaft which was good because it meant he could use it to proceed downwards.

Adam slowly went down the shaft aiming for the floor the scan had shown Prime on, however as he reached the floor above his target he heard someone talking and so paused before listening at the shaft door for that floor.

"Hahaha No need to rush up to his floor primsters, do you know why?"

[No tell us great Prime.]

[Grant us your great wisdom and knowledge.]

"Well you see we both got the scan results and since we are the only two people on this map he is naturally going to come looking for me, so why should I rush to find him when he is coming to find me?"

[Ah now I see, you're such a wise Prime.]

[Yes, I hope our babies are as wise as their father in the future.]

"Indeed, indeed. The best plan is for me to find cover somewhere and lay an ambush so that when he goes past me I can jump out and stab him with my beam saber ending this in one move HAHAHAHAHA."

[Great plan Prime.]

[Noobkiller9000 (Earth): He can't be serious.]

[Gunlovergirl (Earth): Is he always this loud and obnoxious?]

[Superior4horns (Vinox 3): Oh yeah, Prime looks down on all the rookie players and he probably thinks the streamer has no chance.]

[Prestigious3horns (Vinox 2): Not to mention he loves the attention his viewers give him.]

[AlamoMatador4thewin (Earth): What do you think the streamer will do?]

As the chat discussed Prime and what they thought Adam would do, the man himself continued to listen closely at the door.

"You see chat, this is the perfect spot for an ambush, lots of debris for me to hide behind and wait for him to come down the stairs before I jump him."

"The lift shaft? No way, the doors are all closed and because there is no power they wont open."

"Pry them open? Sure that's possible but you have to know that you can do that and then find something to pry the doors open, seeing as he is just a rookie I doubt he and his small viewer count know about that yet."

As Adam listened he noticed that the volume of Prime's voice didn't change indicating that he had stopped moving so Adam gently put the piece of metal between the lift shaft doors and slowly pried them apart just enough that he could peer through the gap.

What he saw was Prime crouched down behind a desk with his back to him, blaster in hand as he carefully peered around the side while talking to his viewers.

Seeing his chance Adam slowly and carefully so as not to make much noise pried the doors open just wide enough for his body to fit through before he backed up to the wall opposite the doors.

He rested his feet against the wall and took out his beam saber but did not ignite it yet before he pushed off from the wall and used his momentum plus anti-gravity armour to shoot him towards Prime.

Just as he was about to impact him Adam activated his beam saber before jamming into the back of Prime's helmet.

Prime was happily talking to his chat while waiting behind a desk for Spector to show himself when he suddenly heard a sound behind him before his vision when dark and a notification appeared before him.

[Match Over]

[Winner: Spector]

Prime's chat was unable to respond to the sudden defeat before Prime suddenly spoke up saying.

"Well that's all for this stream folks, I guess I'm more tired than I thought after playing so many matches to get my score up again which is why I lost."

After which his stream went offline.

However as Prime opened his eyes after leaving virtual reality he suddenly tilted his head back and screamed.

"FFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!"

[Handsome3horns (Vinox 2): Hahaha he beat smurf Prime again.]

[Noobkiller9000 (Earth): That ended quicker than expected.]

[Beczontop (Imperial Down): Yay another win means another kiss. 😘]

[Tessisdabest (Imperial Down):😮‍💨, what am I going to do with this girl.]

[StealthAssassin9 (Earth): Do you think he will challenge him again?]

[Prestigious3horns (Vinox 2): Not today, I just checked his stream and he went offline.]

[1000yearsofdeath (Earth): You mean he rage quit. Kekeke.]

[Superior4horns (Vinox 3): That sounds about right but he probably made some excuse.]

The chat continued to discuss Adam's victory and Prime rage quitting while Adam himself just looked for another random game.

This was how Adam spent the next few months while in subspace, he would enter Space Rogue after and play the campaign mode first using it to learn more about being a starship captain other than just fighting before jumping into PvP where he would stream several matches. Spector would then stop the stream and have his mind rest before he started the same process all over again.

While Adam streamed often he didn't gain many viewers because all his content was Spec Rogue PvP matches and those that enjoyed the game usually preferred to play it over watching it, however several players did randomly challenge him and after asking his chat why they told him it was because of Primes defeat to him and so some other players had come to challenge him.

He was happy to accept the challengers as long as they had similar points to him in order to make it interesting, whereas if there was a huge point gap he apologised and said they could battle in the future if they ever became closer competitors.

And so several months passed and the Spector would soon arrive in the Sandanar Galaxy.

One day instead of waking up in his VR lobby like he had gotten used to Adam found that he was looking out of the status pod he had climbed into all those months ago and staring at the ceiling.

A few moments after opening his eyes the status pod hissed before its lid started to open.

It took a few minutes for Adam to get accustomed to waking up in his true body after so long before he asked.

"Spector, are we there?"

"Not yet, We will return to normal space in approximately one week. I have woken you up early so that your body can get some much needed nutrition and can get used to moving around in your real body again."

It took nearly half an hour for Adam to be able to move enough that he could get out of the status pod. After doing so he slowly started heading towards the ship's mess hall.

Included in the download of data that Spector had given him during his status was the layout of the ship so that he could now find his way around without needing the guidance lights.

Once he reached the mess hall he moved towards a panel on the wall and ordered a full breakfast with orange juice, a few seconds after he ordered a hatch on the panel opened revealing a plate full of food along with a glass of orange juice waiting for collection.

He picked up the plate of food and glass of juice and moved towards the nearest table before sitting down and eating the food with gusto.

He hadn't realized how hungry he was until the food had been in-front of home, but it was not surprising considering he had not eaten or drunk anything in months.

According to the information Spector had downloaded into his brain, during its time connected to the internet back on Earth Spector had downloaded almost every bit of information it could get its hands on, from food and drink to entertainment and many other things.

"After you have finished eating please proceed to the training room, I have designed a work out routine to help you get accustomed to your body quicker.." Spector suddenly spoke up saying.

Adam nodded and after he finished eating he proceeded to the training room which contained a large variety of work out machines, along with padded flooring and practice weapons.

For the next week Adam would rotate between working out according to the routine Spector had designed him, eating healthy meals to allow his body to regain some of the mass it had lost and resting.

Finally on the seventh day Spector announced, "We have reached the Sandanar Galaxy, we will be returning to normal space in a few minutes, please proceed to the bridge.

Adam quickly finished the meal he was currently eating before heading towards the bridge, as he stepped inside he found that it did indeed look identical to the one he had been using in Space Rogue and after quickly sitting at the main console the view-screen changed to show the outside of the ship.
