Chapter 62: Dragon Princess

"Ok, you know the plan." Adam said to Spector as they got close enough to see the pirate base.

He had discussed his plan to infiltrate the base on his way back to Spector from the Mercenary Hall.

"Affirmative, though I still advise you to use condition yellow or black." Spector replies

"No, I'm revealing too many of your secrets too quickly on these streams and we can't guarantee that someone watching won't become our enemy in the future." Adam replied before continuing.

"Condition yellow will be more useful in other ways in the future and condition black is something I want to refuse using on a stream for a long time unless absolutely necessary, it's just that powerful."

"Understood." Spector replied.

"Good, while I infiltrate the pirate base you will patrol the nearby area staying out of range of their patrol ship's sensors while continuing to monitor comms for any important information."

After Adam finished instructing Spector he left the cockpit and went to equip his anti-gravity armour and weapons.

[Ayato_Kanzaki (Earth): Condition yellow and black? What are those?]

[Whostolemyduck (Earth): Considering we saw condition brown in the last stream which is a covert mode, maybe these different condition colours are also different modes.]

[Beinglittleisnotadisadvantage (Strathorp 7): Don't forget the condition blue which was mentioned when he left Earth, maybe that one is to do with planetary take-offs and landings? We haven't seen him take off or land on Palaxia after all.]

[Handsome3horns (Vinox 2): Has anyone heard of these condition colours or a ship having them?]

[Prestigious3horns (Vinox 2): Nope.]

[Werewolf1987 (Caniniar 4): They're new to me.]

[SciFifanboy (Earth): Only in Star Trek, but even they don't have this much variety.]

[Pokemonking0924 (Johto 2): Kinda disappointed that he won't show them, especially that condition black after he mentioned that it was so powerful.]

[Vinnaka (Felinia 6): While I'm also disappointed, I can't deny it's a smart move. After all, the more cards you reveal the less you have to play with.]

After equipping his anti-gravity armour and grabbing his weapons Adam headed for one of the airlocks.

After stepping into the airlock and closing the inner door like hatch he pressed a button on a control panel and the airlock began to depressurise as his helmet wrapped around his head.

After the airlock depressurised the outer door like hatch and pushed off into space.

As he left the ship his armour morphed to display his glowing wings before he shot off towards the pirate base.

[Leonthemoneygiver (Earth): Damn that look never gets old, totally reminds me of Issie's look in his dragon armour.]

[Netononato (Earth): Agreed, though his colour is way darker and his tail is thinner and more demonic looking than a dragons.]

[Devil_Prince_Asura (Deverinian 9): Wings and a tail?]

[DeverinianLordMalacoss (Deverinian 9): Oh right you're new here and it's your first time seeing it, right young one?]

[Devil_Prince_Asura (Deverinian 9): Yes Lord Malacross, also it's an honour to speak with the leader of my home planet.]

[[DeverinianLordMalacoss (Deverinian 9): Haha, no need to worry, we are all merely viewers here young one.]

[Pokemonking0924 (Johto 2): When has anti-gravity armour ever changed like that? He looks like he just Mega-evolved]

[Vinnaka (Felinia 6): You guys have Dragons on Earth?]

[Whostolemyduck (Earth): No, they're more like mythological creatures…. Wait, the universe has Dragons?]

[Beinglittleisnotadisadvantage (Strathorp 7): Yeah, they're one of the most powerful known races that are even capable of space travel using their own body's, though you don't see them much since they are solitary races who can sleep for many centuries. They generally only show up to major universal events that require their presence.]

[Celebrityhunter69 (Earth): They can travel in space without ships? 😱]

[Beinglittleisnotadisadvantage (Strathorp 7): Yeah though they do have limitations depending on their age and power.]

[Celebrityhunter69 (Earth): Wow.]

Naruto_shippuden_6468 (Earth): I don't know what I'm more surprised about, that dragons exist or that they can fly freely through space.]

[Netononato (Earth): Can they take human form? Oh please say they can, I want to see a sexy dragon girl.]

[Beinglittleisnotadisadvantage (Strathorp 7): Once they reach a certain age and are powerful enough they can indeed take on humanoid form.]

[Handsome3horns (Vinox 2): Apparently the young dragon princess is very beautiful.]

[Noobkiller9000 (Earth): Dragon Princess? I thought you said dragons are solitary creatures.]

[Beinglittleisnotadisadvantage (Strathorp 7): Hmmm it's more of an honorary title based on her mother to be honest. The dragons are indeed solitary and unless it's with their mate or offspring they rarely mingle even with their own kind. However as one of the most powerful races in the universe they have a seat in the universal senate and therefore need a representative. The dragon princess's mother is the representative of the dragons, and although she rarely attends the universal senate she still holds that position.]

[AlamoMatador4thewin (Earth): How did she gain the title of dragon princess then and also what do you mean by 'apparently' very beautiful?]

[Beinglittleisnotadisadvantage (Strathorp 7): The dragons themselves don't really have a hierarchy other than that the weaker must submit to the stronger if they ever meet. However the other races have come to see the dragons representative at the senate as their most influential member and so as her daughter she gained the title dragon princess.]

[Beinglittleisnotadisadvantage (Strathorp 7): As for being apparently very beautiful, this is probably just something Handsome3horns made up as she has yet to actually reveal herself to the rest of the universe.]

[Handsome3horns (Vinox 2): HEY! It's legitimately something I heard ok.]

[Superior4horns (Vinox 3): Yeah heard in a bar when you were drunk most likely.]

[Prestigious3horns (Vinox 2): However rumour has it she will accompany her mother to the next Supreme Speaker selection.]

[DeverinianLordMalacoss (Deverinian 9): That rumour has been going around for several centuries now and is still yet to happen.]

[StealthAssassin9 (Earth): Centuries? How old is this dragon princess?]

[Celebrityhunter69 (Earth): You don't ask a woman her age.]

[StealthAssassin9 (Earth): Then it's a good job I'm not asking her.]

[DeverinianLordMalacoss (Deverinian 9): Hmmm how many centuries ago was it that I sent that gift to congratulate the dragon senator on the birth of her daughter… five I think.]

Naruto_shippuden_6468 (Earth): 500 years? And she has never appeared in public?]

[DeverinianLordMalacoss (Deverinian 9): it's not surprising really, the longer a race lives for the longer you are classed as an infant. The dragons like the … and my Deverinian race are a race that do not die of old age and the more powerful races tend not to show their young on a universal scale until they reach what their race classes as maturity.]

[Vinnaka (Felinia 6): There are exceptions to that rule though Lord Malacross, such as the Tournament of Generations.]

[DeverinianLordMalacoss (Deverinian 9): Well yes that's true, but the ToG does only come around once every fifty years.]

[Whostolemyduck (Earth): Tournament of Generations?]

[DeverinianLordMalacoss (Deverinian 9): It's a grand tournament the Universal Senate holds every fifty years. It's created to promote and strengthen friendly ties between the races. I won't go into more detail about it now as the next ToG is many years away and the streamer is about to reach the pirate base.]

AS the chat had been talking about the dragon princess Adam had been flying through space and finally reached one of the landing platforms for the pirate base.

He skirted the edge of the platform to avoid the chance of being seen should anyone still be onboard the ship docked there before he landed in front of the platform's entry hatch.

Unlike the Spector that had a button to open and close the external hatch, this one had a rotating wheel in the middle of the hatch like Adam once saw in a movie about submarines.

He rotated the handle and opened the hatch before stepping inside and sealing it again.

As expected the hatch led to an airlock, Adam looked around for a few moments before finding a switch someone had crudely labelled 'Pressurize'.

After flicking the switch the airlock started to slowly pressurize.

[Noobkiller9000 (Earth): Is it just me or is this taking way longer than on his ship?]

[Justiceistruth: (Earth): Maybe it's because it's pressurizing the airlock instead of de-pressurizing it.]

[Beinglittleisnotadisadvantage (Strathorp 7): While it's true that pressurisation takes longer than de-pressurisation, this is still very slow. I guess the pirate base is not all that advanced.]

[Werewolf1987 (Caniniar 4): It makes sense if you think about it. It's already impressive that they managed to build this base, but I expect they had to scrounge and steal for the parts they needed and it's not like they would be able to often get them from state of the art vessels.]

[Prestigious3horns (Vinox 2): That's true, everyone knows that pirates like to go for easy targets, unless they're in force.]

Finally after a couple of minutes waiting the pressurization was complete and a green light came on above the inner hatch to show that it was safe to open it.

Adam once again rotated the handle on the door to unlock it and pulled it open before he stepped inside the base.

As he took a quick look around one word came to mind, messy.
