At the Inn

Mark was still sleeping in his room even though it was past the time where he normally wakes up. This was because last night he had first experienced a direct attack from an Enraged Owlbear. Though uninjured, he still felt the pain of the attack. If not for his body armor, he would have been dead.

The body armor had its own hp, 2.5x of the user. But still, this was clearly not enough to stop the attack of the beast. It would supposedly go past the capacity where the armor withstood, but that was not the case last night. That's when he realized another ability the armor had. It can withstand one lethal attack as long as the body armor remains. In other words, the user can survive anything fatal even if the armor has 1 HP remaining no matter what kinds of attacks are thrown at it no more than one time before the armor gets destroyed.

The sleep Mark was having was interrupted when someone knocked at his door and called his name. It was his partner, Yunyun, who was constantly calling out to him. He then got up and went for the door.

"Mark? Are you there? Ooii." Yunyun was standing outside the boy room. Before she could knock again, Mark opened the door and greeted her.

"(Yawn) Ah. Good Morning Yunyun. What seems to be the problem?" Mark asked while his eyes were still half closed.

The mage girl was glad that Mark was there, she was just beginning to think that something might have happened to him. "G-Good Morning. I should be the one asking you that. You don't usually sleep in."

"Huh… Ah! You are right, look at the time." Mark said as he looked at the wrist watch on his table, which he made with his powers of course. "Sorry. I was a little exhausted from the quest last night."

"Last night?" Yunyun wondered what he meant.

At the Adventurers Guild

"Eeehh! Are you alright?!" Yunyun shouted at Mark after hearing the story of what he did last night. She was not happy with the actions the boy did. "Who the hell jumps in front of an Owlbear attack?!"

"I told you, I did it to save a party mate. I can just let him die. And I had my body armor on." Mark was trying to calm down his partner. Yunyun can't complain about his reason but she still felt uneasy.

"I know that… But take care of yourself more. What if that armor of yours didn't hold? You would be dead by now." Yunyun concerned, imagining the thought of him gone… she didn't want that.

Mark knew that. He almost lost the second life given to him. He didn't want to waste it, but he just couldn't bear seeing people die in front of him. Not again.

"I'm sorry, you were worried, right? I won't do something that would lead me to possible death again." Mark said as he smiled, making the girl at ease.

After making Yunyun's concerns go away, Mark brought out a new Body Armor. It was slightly different from the one he was currently wearing. The armor he was showing was specifically made for women.

"Here, For you." Mark handed over the armor to Yunyun.

"Eh?! For me? Why?" The girl confusingly asked as she took the armor from him.

"For protection, I will be much more relaxed if you have something to keep you safe. And don't worry, these things are not that heavy." Mark informed. "Come try it on."

Yunyun did what Mark said while he helped her put it on. It was a perfect fit for her, though she didn't know why it was.

"Woah. It doesn't feel uncomfortable. Are you sure I can have this?!" Yunyun asked as she kept touching the body armor. Mark nodded at her and she then expressed her gratitude. "Thank you very much!"

"Glad you like it. Now then that's out of the way, let's go on a quest. And I got the perfect one." Mark then showed the mage girl a quest request poster. "Wyvern clearing!"

Yunyun took the poster from the soldier boy and read its contents. She was worried that it might be a little dangerous but she knew that they could do it. After verifying the quest she saw something that might be a problem.

"Wha… This is deep within the mountains! At least two days of travel. There are no nearby villages to rest and the mountains are filled with other monsters!" Yunyun protested going.

"Don't worry, we can camp out when night comes. I can make the camping supplies." Mark excitedly said. For having the "Soldier's Daily Needs" skill, he can make camping related things. "And I already have something that could protect us when we are sleeping…"

Mark then brought another object. It was a gun with six barrels and tripod legs. "Look! This is my turret I made with my new skill, "Sentry Gun." A powerful gun called M134 mounted on a tripod with a defensive system that targets and shoots enemies."

Yunyun looked at the sentry gun with awe, even the adventurers around that were looking the whole time were curious with such contraption. But the soldier boy didn't stop there, he showed her another new gun of his, a light machine gun.

"And this! My new M60E4 LMG with Holographic Sights!" Mark introduced enthusiastically.

"Wow, that is larger than your rifle. But still, can it penetrate wyvern scales? They are pretty tough you know." Yunyun wondered, but the boy only smirked at her question.

"Good thing you asked. I can change my bullet type now. I armed this bad boy with AP or Armor Piercing bullets! Just like the name, it has great piercing capabilities." he then added one last thing. "And also, another gift for you."

Mark handed Yunyun a pistol, but it was not the Five Seven that she shot before. "This is for you, a "USP. 45". It may not be faster than the Five Seven, but this one has more weight to the shot. It is also armed with AP bullets AP bullets."

The mage girl was a little taken back from all the explanation the soldier boy gave. First the body armor, now her own personal gun. It was too much to take. She took the gun from him and examined it, she liked it a lot. It also came with a gun holster.

"Gee Mark, I don't know what to say. I really don't know how to repay you." Yunyun pondered while holding the gun.

"W-Well, if you like, you could repay me by coming along on other quests with me." Mark shyly said, which Yunyun also timidly nodded.

Mark then stood up and prepared his stuff. "Now then, let's go. If we leave right now, we will be there by tomorrow afternoon."

"Okay, but let me get a few things from the inn. Wait for me in front of the town gate." Yunyun uttered before running out the guild.

Just a few moments before Yunyun left, a beautiful female crusader came in the guild. She was well-endowed and also has light blue eyes and straight, long blonde hair, usually kept in a ponytail tied with a braid and red hair clips secured on both sides of her bangs. Clad in black, white, and yellow armour, with a metal shoulder plate on her left side, and a wing-like cloth perched upon her right shoulder.

The female knight seemed to be looking for someone as she checked left to right in the guild. She stopped doing that when she came in eye contact with Mark. Surprising the boy, she walked towards him and spoke.

"Excuse. Are you the one they say that slayed the Enraged Owlbear last night?" The woman asked in a mature tone.

"Yes. May I know who's asking?" The soldier boy acted cool to match the woman's tone. Though Mark found her pretty, he thought Yunyun was still more attractive.

"I see. I'm sorry for the late introduction. My name is Darkness. I a-am a crusader…" The woman started to stutter, "W-Would you mind telling me how it f-felt?"

Mark was confused on what she meant, "Felt what?"

"B-Being attacked by that beast. They say t-that you took a direct hit from it." The woman named Darkness started to get weird in her voice and actions. Mark didn't mind, he was quite open to different kinds of people. Though, he hasn't talked to many people before.

"Oh, that. Yeah it hurt alright. I felt like I died the moment it hit me. My head was aching after that." Mark tried to remember that moment, he already knew the feeling of dying before. But that was a different kind of pain.

The female knight reacted oddly again and made strange sounds. "How envious… I mean How strong your body is! Able to take a blow from a powerful attack. You must be a seasoned knight yourself."

'Did she almost say envious? Nah, I must be hearing things.' Mark asked himself. "I'm not a knight or anything related to one. I'm more of a range type like an archer…" Mark continued to explain his class and his body armor.

"What?! A strong armor that leaves you uninjured but still feels the pain of being striked!" Darkness was now breathing heavily. "Where did you get it?! I must also have one!"

Mark was not fond of giving the armor to anyone he just met. But he could consider it if he could know them better. And maybe have a new friend. "Ah. I made that armor, but I can't just give it to anyone you know. You can however let me assess you if you're worth it to have one."

"Assess me?! What do you intend to make me do?! Do you…" The crusader was not able to tell her delusion due being cut-off by Mark.

"If you party up with me some other time and let me see your abilities, then I might think about letting you have the body armor." The spec ops informed, when in reality, he just wanted to make an excuse to be friends through adventuring.

Before the Darkness could speak, Marked noticed the time and panicked. He was supposed to meet up with Yunyun right about now. "AH! I'm sorry Miss Darkness, but I have to be somewhere right now. Talk to you next time!"

Mark ran out the guild as fast as he could, leaving the crusader behind. What the boy didn't is that the other adventurers around were talking about him and Yunyun from the start.

"There he goes, I bet he went to his teammate." said an adventurer while eating.

"So that's the "pro rookie duo" huh? He sure does have a lot of strange things. Maybe support items for his partner." Another adventurer beside him added.

"I don't think they're not just partners. I saw them around town yesterday, acting all lovey-dovey." the adventurer eating replied.

Luna, who happened to overhear them, joined their conversation. "No, they're not dating though." The adventurers were surprised with what she said.

"Seriously? I thought for sure they were." an adventurer sighed.

"Whatever the case, they sure are an odd pair." The adventurer beside him followed.

Luna didn't care about what others see in them. They finish quests that help out the guild a lot. As long as they are teamed up, they accomplish a great deal of work.

"I just hope they continue working together."

At the Town Gate

"Mark!" Yunyun waved at Mark when she saw him running toward her.

"I'm sorry I'm late. I got occupied with something." Mark apologized.

The mage girl shook her head. "I don't mind, I just got here a few seconds ago. Let's go!" The boy soldier boy nodded and started their journey. It was going to be a long trip, they passed the time by talking to each other.

At the Far Mountains

The two adventurers were still a day away from their destination. Mark was noticeably carrying a lot of things compared to Yunyun. It wasn't heavy for him however he still wanted to carry more equipment. There was also the part where it was taking them so long to travel. When it started to get dark, they decided to stop and set up camp.

'Man. I sure wish we had transportation, an armored vehicle would be nice. Maybe I can make one if I level up more… Haha who am I kidding? That won't happen. Mark laughed at his thought as he unpacks all the things needed.

The soldier boy first put up the tent. It was the traditional green triangular ones used for camping. It was large enough to hold three people. Next was two sleeping bags, on for him and the mage girl. Before he could set up the campfire, he noticed Yunyun was bothered by something.

"Yunyun, what's wrong?" Mark asks in concern.

"A-Are we going to sleep at the same tent together?" Yunyun pointing at the canvas.

"We are. If we sleep in different tents and something happens to one of us then we wouldn't be able to help each other. On the other hand, we would raise our chances of survivability if we sleep together in the same…" Mark stopped explaining when he just realized what he was saying.

'Aah! What am I thinking?! I can't just sleep together with a girl! Have I lost my common sense?! Oh no, She might think I'm a pervert that would do something while she's asleep.' Mark was panicking in his mind.

Mark needed something to keep them safe while sleeping separately. He remembered that he has another skill he unlocked. A skill that makes him call for reinforcements from the air support category skill called "Delta Squad". In the game he remembered, this sends him three friendly NPCs from Delta Team to support the player. They are sent by helicopter and usually carry M16A4 rifles. The reason why he didn't mention earlier is because he doesn't know how they will react in this world. Will they follow him around like in the game or will they have a mind of their own. He was scared that they might go on off on their own and leave him so he decided not to use it. But now, he needs a way to make them safe while still being seperated.

"I'm sorry! I'll go create another one! Just wait for…" Mark was cut off by his partner.

"Y-You're right! We're much safer if we s-sleep together." Yunyun agreed with Mark's speculation. But he already sent the Delta Squad on their location.

"I see, if you're fine with it then…" Mark didn't continue what he was saying due to something coming. The sound of the helicopter can be heard approaching. "Oh. here they are." said in a nervous tone.

"What's that sound? What's that?!" Yunyun was shocked as she pointed at the giant metal object hovering over them while it created strong winds. The girl was preparing for battle when Mark stopped her.

"Don't worry! It's fine, they are my backup!" Mark informed loudly due to the noise the helicopter made. Rope came down hanging from it and along with someone rappelling down. Yunyun was wondering what sort of surprises she will encounter now.

There were three men that came down one by one. The first thing they did was take a crouching position as they checked the surrounding area. The chopper left as soon as the last man got off. After that, one of the men stood up and walked to Mark. The boy knew exactly who this man was.

"Waiting for your orders sir." The soldier said. He wore almost the same outfit as Mark but only with slight differences and had yellow shooting glasses.

"Woah! Aren't you Sandman from Delta Team? This is so cool!" The boy was a little fangirling as he personally saw the characters in his favorite game. He looked at the two and recognized them too. "And that's Grinch, over there is Truck." He pointed at the other two's location. When the boy heard that Sandmad spoke and talked to him, they must be able to follow commands.

"U-Uhm… Secure the perimeter and watch out for possible hostiles." Mark hesitantly ordered. The three replied "Yes sir" and did exactly that. Yunyun was still confused on what's going on.

"Mark, who are these people? And what's with that flying thing earlier?" Yunyun bombarded her partner with questions. She trusted Mark but she was still wary of the new arrivals.

Mark expected that her reactions would be like this. "Hmm… where do I start? First these people are summoned by my new skill "Delta Squad." They are a team of counter terrorisim and specialized operations units. They follow my command, but I don't know to what extent. And the flying thing is called a Helicopter. It's hard to explain, but to simplify it, it is a flying machine used in my country."

Yunyun understands most of it except the helicopter part. She didn't bother asking more for now and was more concentrated on the soldiers. "I didn't know you were also part summoner. And they also look human, which is rare for a summon. But the most amazing part is that they're dressed and have the same weapon as you." The girl was wondering if the boy never runs out of surprises.

"Kinda. But what's astonishing about them is who they are. These are the men that stayed behind and sacrificed themselves to hold back the enemy in order for an important person to escape." Mark remembered how emotional that scene was for him. But the boy didn't expect someone to reply to that.

"Thanks Sir, I'm glad I was remembered by." Sandman unexpectedly said.

"Really? Getting swarmed by the Russian Army wasn't a pleasant memory for me." Grinch commented. He was the one that wore shades and a baseball cap.

"Nope, getting the diamond mine collapsed on you was worse." Truck stated, an african american man.

Mark was stupefied. The Delta Team has their own conscience and recalled what happened to them in the game. "Hah?! You remember everything?! But how…" Mark paused when Sandman gestured to him to stop.

"Woah hold on their Sir, I know you're confused so let me explain to you our situation." Sandman asserted, Making Mark nod and Yunyun still puzzled. "Let me first tell you that yes, we know we are from the game and yes, we remembered what occurred there."

"Also note that we are currently a part of you, knowing your memories and feelings. We may have our built in personalities and give our opinions, but we will still follow your orders and won't turn on you sir." Grinch added.

"For now sir, you can only summon three of us Delta Squad. The more you level up the more you can summon. The levels you currently have determines how many hours we can retain in this world. You're currently 17 so we have 17 hours before we disappear, that also applies to your sentries." Truck mentioned, which was a helpful info to Mark

"But don't worry, you can summon us again after that or when we all die. Just don't die yourself, or we'll all be in deep shit. Does that clear everything up to you sir?" Sandman finished his explanation. Pretty much Mark understood everything. He nodded and looked at his companion.

Mark noticed that Yunyun has kept silent throughout the whole conversation. He thought it would be nice to introduce her to them. "Oh yeah, this is my party mate and friend."

Yunyun took a step forward with a bit of reservation. "M-My name is Yunyun! I am an arch wizard and master of advanced magic! Future leader of the Crimson Demons Clan! P-Pleasure to make your acquaintance." She said while she did a striking pose. The girl was embarrassed everytime she introduced herself like that.

"Nice intro young lady. I'm Sandman, leader of this Delta squad." Sandman said as he offered the girl a handshake. The other two soldiers also made their introduction. "So boss, I guess you want to assign this girl over here as a high priority?" the soldier asked the boy.

"Mark, what is he talking about?" The mage girl was curious about what Sandman ment.

"He means that you are to be an important person to them. They will protect you with everything they got just like me." the soldier boy informed, which Yunyun nodded. It is normal to see a summon serve their summoner and their allies.

After a few more explanations, the group finished up fixing the campsite. It was already dark by then so they set up the sentry gun and gathered around by the campfire. Sandman told his war stories to them which was not in the game. Yunyun was amazed by the soldiers' accomplishments and skills while she kept listening to the stories. But what caught her interest the most is that her partner managed to summon them. She was reminded how other powerful summoners managed to call for the aid of past heroes. Mark's thoughts were also captured by the history the soldier was telling. He knew some of the stories he told (Due to searching about their past before) but others were new to him. After a few hours, they decided to let the youngsters rest.

"Okay kids, time for you to go to sleep. You still have a quest to finish tomorrow. We'll stay and keep watch. And don't worry, we don't need to eat or sleep to live." Sandman stood up and readid his equipment. "But we still can do them for the fun of it."

"Oh before that, boss, We want to request for some things." Sandman asked. He told Mark that he can change their equipment as long as they unlocked them in his skills. It would only cost less mana than the usual if he creates it for himself. The only thing that he needs is that he should touch the soldier he wants to give an item and think of making it for them. And it worked! The boy each gave them new weapons and equipment. Night Vision and radio was essential, next was the guns.

Sandman requested an ACR 6.8 with Red Dot Sights, Grinch was a Scar-L and Truck was an M60E4 with Holographic Sights. They all had AP rounds. They also explained that the guns will disappear with them and would be equipped to them when they got summoned again.

"Thanks Boss. Now you get on your honeymoon you love birds." Truck jokes while laughing a bit, causing the two to blush wildy.

"W-We are not dating or anything! We're just friends!" Yunyun protested. Mark got a little hurt with her last sentence which he didn't know why.

"T-That's right! I wouldn't go out with someone who is still too young!" Mark defended. Yunyun's chest hurted when he said that, she wondered why it did.

The Delta Team were still laughing with the kids' reactions. "We're just messing with you. Now go to sleep." The two were beat red as they agreed with him.

As the two entered the tent, they went inside their own sleeping bags and tried to sleep. A few moments later, Mark got out of his bag and peeked outside the tent. He tried to talk to the soldier.

"U-Uhm. Maybe I can accompany you guys with the look…" Mark was cut off by the three as they shouted "No!". The three already knew what the kid was about to say and denied it.

Mark went back to the sleeping bag and tried to sleep again, which he can't. The boy was troubled, he can't just sleep beside a young girl. They were at least two feet apart from each other. Even though he didn't have any ill intent, it still felt wrong for him.

'This is going to be a long night.' That's what he thought, moments later he fell asleep.

The Next Morning

Mark was having a hard time breathing. He felt something heavy on his chest as he thought that he was having sleep paralysis. Opening his eyes little by little, he saw that his sleeping bag bloated more than the usual. He looked under his bag and saw the cause of uneasiness. It was a beautiful young girl sleeping on top of him.

"W-What the?! Yunyun?! What are you doing?!" Mark said whispering loudly at the girl. Not wanting to alarm the Delta Squad of his situation.

The girl started to wake up. She gently opened her eyes and looked at the boy. She reached closer to his face and gave him a small peck on the lips. "Good Morning. Mark." She smiled adorably at him.

The boy was panicking with her actions. He couldn't find the words to say or how to react. The only logical thing he thought that he could do was to leave.

"Uh I gotta go and prepare our stuff..." Mark tried to get up but was stopped when Yunyun hugged him tightly.

"Nope. Stay here with me a little longer, please." Yunyun tilted her head a little bit and had puppy eyes. Mark tried his hardest to resist the cute looks the girl was giving.

"We can't. We still have a quest to finish, remember." The boy attempted to reason with the girl. She didn't know Yunyun was like this. Maybe she was in a mind spell or worse, she wasn't even Yunyun. His thought was halted when he saw how the girl reacted to his reply.

Yunyun was starting to cry as she held him more tightly, "W-Why? Do you hate me? Am I not good enough for you?" She was about to burst to tears when she felt that she was hugged back.

"I-I don't hate you! As a matter of fact. I l-like yo…" Mark was greeted with a kiss by Yunyun. It lasted about ten seconds before the girl retracted.

"Mark, I love you!" Yunyun snuggled in the chest of the boy. Mark accepted the embrace and held her tightly "I love you! Boss, Boss, Boss!"

"Boss?" Mark wondered why she called her that. The word kept echoing through his head as it got louder and louder. He felt a constant shaking on his body.

"Boss! Boss! Boss! Boss!"

"Boss! Time to wake up! We got wyverns to kill!"

He woke up

Mark sat up as Sandman stopped shaking his body.

"Good Morning boss, you too young lady. We gotta prepare early if we want to catch those flying bastards!" Sandman said to him, after that he left the tent

'It was a dream?! It was just a freaking dream?!' Mark was racking his head on his dreams. 'W-Well. I knew Yunyun wouldn't do something like that. The boy then looked to the side of Yunyun, also sitting up. When he made eye contact with her, he immediately averted his gaze. The boy didn't notice the girl also did that.

"G-Good Morning, Yunyun. Shall we go outside? Mark said while still not looking at her.

"M-Morning Mark. S-Sure." Yunyun was stuttering a bit. The boy proceeded outside and the girl followed. They were greeted by Truck outside, who was packing up the sentry gun.

"Glad you two are up. We thought you'd never wake up. Bet you kids were enjoying your naughty dreams, huh?" The machine gunner joked at the two.

The two adventurers had the same blushing reaction. "I did not!" They both shouted. They then looked at each other and thought. 'Did he/she?'

The Delta Squad was bursting into laughter. Mark glared at the three which made them stop. Some part of the boy felt like regretting summoning them. After that was settled. The two ate some packed food for breakfast and the soldier disassembled the tent. As they were eating, Sandman gave his report.

"No hostiles came in contact with us all night Boss. We didn't even detect any terrestrial creatures within 50 meters. It felt odd considering we're in a forest in a fantasy world." The Delta Team leader was worried something strong might have spooked them.

"That does sound weird. Normally, monsters would have attacked us last night." Yunyun looked up at the sky and wondered why.

Mark caught the attention of the group as he finished all the preparations. "No time to worry about that now. Let's just finish this quest before anything else. I want to finish as fast as we can." He asserted with a brave front. But in reality, he too, was concerned about it. The boy took point while the rest followed behind.

The group found the nest of the wyverns after a few hours searching for it. It was inside a cave with two seperate entrances, a large one and a small one. They already came up with a plan that they discussed last night. The team will split up into two. Mark and Yunyun will take the large side while the Delta Squad takes the small one.

They set up claymores around the entrance of the cave while they dug in further away for a defensive position. Delta Squad placed the Sentry Gun up in a higher ground that directly points at their assigned cave. Mark also set up a second Sentry Gun that he made in a levitated area for maximum kill area. The only thing they need to know is to make the wyverns come out.

Crack

The team started firing at the sky with their guns to alert the beast of their presence. A loud screeching roar was heard from the cave as. The ground was a little vibrating as the beast started to crawl out of their nest. When the first came out of the cave, it was greeted with an unwelcoming surprise.

Boom!

Four claymores simultaneously went off and killed two wyverns that came out at the same time at the large cave. Almost the same can be said at the small cave but only one was killed with the claymore blast. Even so, more wyverns still continued to come out and started to fly. (They look like Skyrim dragons)

"Here they come, Open fire!" Mark shouted at the radio to everyone. Gun fire roared over the forest. It took them a lot of shots just to kill one wyvern, but that wasn't a problem. The sentries got a lock on one of them and started spinning it's barrels.

BRRRRRRRRRTTTTT

The wyverns were torn to shreds in a matter of seconds as they fell from the skies. The 4,000 rpm (rounds per minute) turret were too much for the flying lizards. It was like cutting a hot knife through butter. Yunyun stared at awe for a moment with the fearsome firepower the sentry had. But her attention was drawn back to the fight where some wyverns were coming closer to them.

"Light of Saber!"

Four wyverns were easily cut down by Yunyun's magic. She then saw one of them flying high as it could. Probably preparing for a dive attack on them. Luckily she had a perfect spell for flying units.

"Lightning Strike!"

Bolts of lightning that came from the sky struck the wyvern, shocking it to death. Mark thought that he wasn't gonna let his partner outshine him. He concentrated his sights and aimed for their heads. His M60E4 made short work of them.

FRRRRRRRRAK

If it weren't for the earplugs that Mark gave, Yunyun's ear would have been ringing from the noise the guns made. It wasn't long before almost all of them were wiped out. The last one that tried to escape was taken down by Mark with his Predator Missile.

Before they left, they checked the cave for any more wyverns or possible treasure. Sandman took the point while the rest followed. When they reached the end of the cave they didn't find any more beasts, but they did find something.

"Hey Boss, take a look at this." Sandman picked up a knife that was stuck to the walls of the cave. He handed it over to Mark and took a look at it.

"Wow, This looks interesting." Mark gazed upon its beauty. At first glance, it looked like an ordinary middle ages knife. But what makes it peculiar is the color of the blade, deep amethyst. "It feels like it has magic in it. Do you know what this is, Yunyun?" Mark asked as he handed it to the girl.

The mage girl studied for a couple of seconds before handing it back to the soldier boy. "It's true, it is a magical blade. But I don't know what it does. Maybe someone in town can appraise it for us!" She hopefully thought someone could.

"I see. Okay then, let's get out of here and head back. I need a fresh bath." Mark said as he hid the blade in a knife holder he just made with his skill. The group left the cave and proceeded to head back to town. It will take them quite some time to do so.

On the way back

After a few hours of walking, Delta Team already disappeared due to the time limit they had. It freaked the two out when they saw the soldiers slowly faded and vanished without a trace. Including the guns and equipment that came along with them did. But before they departed, they informed them that if Mark summoned them again they would be carrying the same items with them.

The two continued walking together and had a few conversations. Mark then decided to ask a question that had him wondering since that morning.

"Y-Yunyun, what were you dreaming about this morning." Mark asked while he was trying not to look at her.

"W-Wha, W-Why would you ask something like t-that?!" Yunyun stuttered as her face redded.

"N-No reason, I was just curious." the boy replied, face also flushed.

"Just curious? Then I'm not obliged to answer then." the girl said while crossing her arms.

"Oh? Or maybe because you really did something naughty in your dreams." Mark joked, not knowing he was setting an argument.

Yunyun stopped walking and pointed aggressively at the boy. "Huh?! I was not! As a matter of fact, you were the naughty one!" Yunyun unconsciously replied, embarrassing herself. She tried to return the question to him. "What did you dream about then?!"

"E-Eh… Y-You're right, these questions are irrelevant." Mark also stopped walking, trying to dodge the question.

"Ah! I knew it! You were doing something perverted in your dreams!" Yunyun voiced.

"Huh?! It was you who went into my sleeping bag and stole a kiss from me!" Mark defended. The two were blushing hard while arguing.

"What are you talking about?! Even if I didn't resist much… You were the one that was assertive!" Yunyun barked, but stood down when she noticed what she said just now. She hid her face with her hands and sat down out of embarrassment.

'Huh? What the hell happened in her dream?' The boy was not curious about what she was. But he's concerned right now is to get rid of the awkwardness between them. "Okay okay. Let's agree that we forget that we had this conversation."

Yunyun stood back up when she heard that and nodded at him. "I agree." She said as they continued their journey back to town. But she said something in a low voice that Mark wouldn't hear. "Well, I wouldn't mind if you were aggressive like that in real life…"

Little did she know that Mark did hear that. Mark paused for a second while he intensely thought, 'Seriously! What happened between us in her dreams?!' His curiosity was killing him.

After a few more hours, before night fall

Mark again called the Delta Squad to help him set up the camp and protect them throughout the night. The soldiers made a few couple jokes along the way about the two, which was to the annoyance of the boy. Their set up was almost the same as before. Only difference was there were now two sentry guns placed.

After that, Mark looked at his card and leveled up to lvl 19. He was currently looking for skills to add, picking only those that are necessary. For now, he only unlocked "Grip" attachment for the guns. The Grip (AKA Foregrip) is a grip mounted under the barrel of the weapon, increasing accuracy and lowering bullet spread. It was also requested by the soldier, attaching it to their current weapons.

While the soldiers teased the kids from time to time, it was an uneventful night. The two slept in the same tent, to their self-consciousness, they didn't have any choice.

What happened the next day was not something that they would ever expect.

The Next Morning

"Boss! Young Lady! Hey! Wake up darn kids!" Sandman shouted at the sleeping adventurers.

"Aahh! I'm up, I'm up. What's wrong?" Mark immediately sat up from being woken up by his Sergeant. Yunyun also was awakened by the constant shouting.

"Somethings coming. Something big and fast. We gotta get out of here, now!" The soldier worried. The two were feeling it too, the ground was shaking with loud stomps heard coming closer.

They didn't have time to pack up. They hurried outside and checked to see the cause of the commotion. They all looked at the direction where they've been and saw the source. It was a humongous spider that was moving towards them at fast speeds. The group barely got out of time when it trampled over their camp. Luckily they got all of their guns and equipment, except one of the sentry guns.

"What the heck is that thing?!" Sandman shouted at the thing while it continued to move forward.

"I don't know. First thing I've ever seen. But it's headed towards the direction of the town" Mark replied worryingly.

"Oh no…" Yunyun said with an anxious look.

Mark noticed this and asked her, "Yunyun, do you know what that is?"

"Yes. It is the mobile fortress, Destroyer. It is an ancient weapon that went on a rampage created by an advanced civilization long ago. It roams around the continent and tramples any town in it's path." Yunyun informed.

"Is there any way to stop it?" Mark asked in a serious tone.

"Impossible! It has high physical defense and a barrier that makes it immune to magic attacks! Even the Demon King ran away from it!" Yunyun voiced. Mark was speechless for a second hearing the Demon King can't handle it.

"Well let's see about that." Mark used his "Air Strike" skill and aimed at the Destroyer. Using the laptop for controls, he aimed at the head and fired at it. As the predator missile came closer it, the missile was shot down by something. "What?!"

Sandman caught a glimpse of what happened and told the boy, "Boss, it seems that it has some sort of anti-missile or anti-air defense system."

"Then I'll hit its legs! I won't let that thing reach town! A lot of lives will be lost." Mark shouted as he didn't let up. He made another Air Strike and fired at the thing and kept doing it, but it was all shot down. "Sh*t!" He furiously cursed at the thing.

"Mark stop it! You'll exhaust your mana reserve if you keep using that!" Yunyun felt uneasy for him, remembering that he told her that that skill of his uses a lot of mana.

"Not Yet!" Mark was obsessed on taking it down. He made his sixth predator missile and carefully directed its mark. And it was a success, he managed to land a hit at the destroyer. But when the smoke cleared from the blast, they saw that it was still moving. It was a little slower now, but it wasn't much.

"I hit it! I-I can… Huh?" Mark's small success was cut short when he suddenly collapsed. His body felt heavy and he had a hard time moving his body. But he still forced himself to move.

"Mark!" Yunyun tried to stop him but was too late.

"O-One more…" Mark managed to make one more Air Strike before falling unconscious. His body was suddenly turning white and looked like he was in pain.

Sandman ran beside the unmoving boy and checked his vitals. It was faint but it was still there. He then turned to Yunyun and questioned her, "Young Lady, what the hell happened to him?!"

"H-He's experiencing Mana deprivation. It happens to those who abused their mana capacity way past their limits. When he collapsed earlier it was the sign that he had emptied his mana, but he still pushed himself." Yunyun brought out a vial that she was carrying around in case of an emergency and kneeled beside Mark. "His situation can be fatal if not treated immediately. This mana potion should prevent that."

"Good, Try everything that you can to save that kid. Me and Truck will follow that thing and try to think of a way to stop it. Grinch will stay behind with you." Sandman said to Yunyun as she nodded back. The soldier took the laptop for the predator missile and some C4s from Mark and left.

Grinch was looking at the vial Yunyun was holding. "Are you sure that will be enough? That bottle seems small?" the baseball capped soldier asked.

"This mana potion is highly potent. But you're right, it might not be enough…" Yunyun didn't have time to get more. She then remembered that there is a more effective way of giving the potion. That method was too extreme and embarrassing for her, but she can't stand seeing Mark suffering anymore as his complexion got paler by the minute. "AH! I got no choice! Listen Grinch, don't tell this to the others?"

"What do you mean?" The soldier wondered what she meant. Yunyun opened the vial and put the contents in her mouth. After that she kissed Mark as she transferred the potion mouth-to-mouth. Grinch only stared at the scene. "Whoa kid, I didn't know you were that aggressive."

Yunyun's mouth was still connected with Mark's when she heard that. 'That's not it! This is the only way that would surely save him. By doing this, I can directly share my mana with him!' She shouted in her mind.

The kiss lasted for a solid 10 seconds before she pulled away. Mark's skin started to revert back to its original color and was no longer in pain. Yunyun let out a relieved sigh while Grinch was grinning at her.

"W-What?" The mage girl glared at the soldier.

"N-Nothing…" Grinch averted his gaze. He didn't feel like angering her, considering she saw what she was capable of. "Let's stay here for now, we'll wait and see how the two handles this ."

"Y-Yeah." Yunyun nodded back. She hoped that everyone was alright.

Just behind the Destroyer

Sandman and Truck was still running after the Destroyer. The thing stopped for a moment as it looked like it spotted something. The two went up a levitated area and checked what it was. It was the town of Axel, only a few kilometers a head.

"We're out of time! We need…" Sandman paused when he saw five large circular lights appear in front of the gate. It looked like it was charging for something before it fired a bright ray of light at the Destroyer. The force was so massive that they felt the wind pressure from it.

The Destroyer started charging forward but it seemed that it was having a hard time due to the attack. It lasted for a couple of seconds before the ray became stronger and pushed back the Destroyer for a couple meters after a glass breaking sound was heard from it. Something broke from the Destroyer but the soldiers didn't know what giant thing continued to attack.

The two tried to run after it but they were still almost one kilometer away. Their attention was once again caught by something within the town walls. Two massive red magical circles appeared once more.

"What is it this time?" Sandman said as he thought what more has the town in store for defense.

At the Town Walls of Axel

Two female wizards were on top of the walls of the gate. They were just finishing their chant for a powerful spell against the Destroyer. One of the wizards was someone Mark met before. It was Megumin of the Crimson Demons.

Justice, fallen upon the infallible boundary,

Appear now as an intangible distortion.

Explosion!

The two wizards fired their offensive magic at the rushing Destroyer. Two large scarlet red fireballs came soaring through the skies and struck the mobile fortress, making a huge blast, wrecking the thing and halting its advance. It stumbled forward for a couple of meters before fully stopping.

Back with the two Soldiers

"Whoa. Now that is some serious firepower. Looks like we didn't even have to do anything." Truck was impressed on how they took down the Destroyer.

"We can't be too sure. That thing might have another trick up its sleeves." Sandman warned as they stayed on alert. And it seems like his guess was right. The Destroyer made siren sounds while broadcasting a warning.

"Due to extreme damage, the self-destruct sequence will now initiate."

"All crew, please evacuate immediately."

"All crew, please evacuate immediately."

"Initializing self-destruct sequence."

The wrecked Destroyer loudly announced.

"I knew it. Come on let's go! We need to stop it from blowing up." Sandman readid up with Grinch. He opened up the predator drone and decided to drop a missile to weaken it up. There he saw at the top of the Destroyer was a hulking humanoid figure seemingly made of stone. Probably a defense unit set to protect the thing (Golem). It was that thing that the soldier fired at.

At the Town Walls of Axel

The adventurers were currently heading towards the mobile destroyer when they saw a strange object falling down from the sky and hit the top of it. It created an explosion, damaging some part of it. The object left a straight white smoke behind its trail.

"What now?!" a teen panicked. He is a young man of average height and weight. He has short and slightly spiky chestnut-brown hair and green eyes. He wore a gold-trimmed green mantle, white shirt, pants, and leather boots.

Megumin was currently getting a piggy ride on the teens back.

"That attack… Don't worry! I know who did that! He is a fellow adventurer!" Megumin announced to those who were charging. She saw and remembered who could make those strikes. "Kazuma, it's the guy I told you about! The adventurer who can cast an inferior explosion than me!" She boasted.

The adventurer named Kazuma, who cas currently carrying Megumin, was relieved when he heard that. "Really?! Where is he then? We might need him for assistance."

"I don't know, but I'm sure he'll join us shortly." Megumin proudly said.

Back with the two Soldiers

"Friendlies up ahead! They seem to be climbing up the Destroyer using grappling hooks. We should join up." Sandman informed, as they were approaching the mobile destroyer.

The two soldiers climbed up the Destroyer and when they reached the top they saw an entrance that was already destroyed along with the golem. This was caused by the Air Strike from earlier. They entered inside and tried to look for the power source.

"We've got to find the control center! There must be a way to deactivate the detonation." Sandman said as the two were running around inside. They saw that a lot of the adventurers were thrashing the place.

They stopped looking when they saw a bunch of adventurers in front of a large metal door. They seemed to be having a hard time opening it. Sandman walked up to one of the adventurers there and asked a question. "What seems to be the hold up?"

"We think we found the control…" The adventurer paused when he saw who was questioning him. "Hah?! Aren't you modern soldiers?! How the heck did you end up here?!"

"Geh! Isn't that uniform just like that guy?!" Dust, who was in the crowd, exclaimed.

"Oh, You mean Mark!" Lean said while he was beside Dust.

Sandman verified the teen he asked and saw his appearance. "You're japanese aren't you? We don't have time to explain! Tell me, is behind that door something that could help us stop this?!" Sandman voiced making the boy flinch.

"P-Possibly!" the teen replied.

"Truck! Plant a C4 on that door and open a path!" Sandman ordered. Truck did just that and set the explosive. "Okay, everybody stand back! Fire in the hole!"

Boom!

The bomb destroyed the door, unblocking the path. The group entered the room and saw the skeletal remains of an old man. They also found the diary of the dead man and checked to see if it had any information on how to stop the self-destruct sequence. A female adventurer with blue hair read the book. After reading its contents, she had a disappointed face but found some useful info.

The Destroyer was powered by a powerful coronatite. The japanese teen asked everybody else to leave the place while he did something about it. The only one that remained were him, the blue haired girl, the wizard woman who casted the explosion magic, and the two soldiers.

The three adventurers were deciding on what to do while the soldiers were thinking of a plan together. They didn't risk using C4s because it might end up worse so they relied upon the three. After a few debates, the adventurers came up with an idea. The wizard placed her hands on the cheeks of the teen and suddenly drained something out of him.

"What are they doing?" Sandman wondered as they watched it happen.

"Ooh, That looks uncomfortable." Truck noticed that the boy was turning thinner. After that, the boy collapsed while looking like a corpse. They heard something able to teleport it away, but was too dangerous because it was random. The adventurers didn't have any choice but to do it. The teen said he will take responsibility.

"Teleport!"

"Initiating… self…"

They managed to stop the Destroyer from self-destructing by teleporting the coronatite to a far away unknown location. The group decided to leave the place. Kazuma asked some questions to the soldiers while they were walking out.

"I'm Satou Kazuma. So mind telling how you end up here? You two look like you are from the American army." The teen said as he was looking at their stature and equipment.

"You can call me Sandman. This is Truck. And about your question, it's a bit hard to explain. It's better if you ask our Boss. He's an adventurer like you.", Sandman informed.

"Uhm, is that guy named Mark? My friend mentioned about him before." Kazuma wondered if they were the same person.

"That's right. But for now he is a bit unavailable. He fell unconscious by foolishly attempting to take down this thing all by himself." Truck said, specifying the Destroyer. "He got something called mana deprivation or something."

The wizard woman who was with them gasped as she was listening to the conversation. "Oh my! Is he alright?" she asked.

"Wiz? Do you know what mana deprivation is?" Kazuma questioned the wizard named Wiz. She nodded and began to explain what it is and its causes.

Kazuma was worried about the guy when he heard how serious it was. He didn't want a fellow otherworlder to die before meeting him. As much as possible he wanted to cooperate, well except for a certain cursed sword wielder that is. Or he just wanted a couple of new weapons.

"Don't worry. We have someone there that took care of him. She said she will do everything she can to cure him. I trust that she can do it." Truck said, relieving the concern of the teen.

While they were talking, the blue haired woman butt in the conversation. "Hey, you're not a normal human are you?" she said.

"What do you mean, Aqua?" Kazuma asked the woman. Aqua was the arch-priest of the teen's party.

"Well. I feel a strange aura coming from them, like an artificial human." Aqua informed. The group was almost out of the Destroyer and saw someone standing in front of the entrance. It was Darkness.

"That's the complicated part I'm telling you. Our boss can…" Sandman didn't finish as Darkness told them that it was still not over. Moments later the wrecked Destroyer started to radiate heat. It was starting to get really hot and steam came out the side. "What now?!" the soldier voiced.

The group got off the mobile destroyer and saw that it was overheating.

"Hey, I thought we removed the coronatite!" Kazuma shouted.

"Could it be… It's internally-stored heat is escaping?!" Wiz theorized.

"Sh*t. Doesn't that thing run out of surprises?" Truck said, which was also the thought of the others.

"At this rate, the city will become a sea of flames!" Wiz worried as the mobile fortress grew hotter and hotter by the minute.

So there was no point in sending the coronatite away! Kazuma thought that their efforts were in vain. He then turned to Sandman and asked him a question. "Don't you have anything that might stop this?!"

Sandman thought about it for a second. Destroying the thing would be the best choice. C4s were not enough, so they needed something very powerful. He remembered that Mark might have a skill called "MOAB" or "Tactical Nuke". But he hasn't reached the level to unlock that yet. And even if he did, It's result might be much worse considering they were too close to town, not to mention it was suicide. The soldier shook his head and replied to the teen "Sorry kid. Nothing I can do right now."

"How about you Wiz? Can't fire another Explosion one more time?" Kazuma asked.

Wiz said she can't due to not having anymore mana. The teen thought of sharing taking mana from Aqua and giving it to her, but the priest said the wizard would disappear if they did. If all hope was lost, Megumin came in riding at the back of a hulking man.

"The star takes the stage." Megumin announced and talked to Kazuma. She took a look at the two soldiers and noticed their attire. "You guys must be companions of Mark, where is he?" she wondered.

"Currently incapacitated. You look like someone we know." Sandman informed as he verified the girl. She reminded him of Yunyun. Megumin thought she might know who the soldiers were talking about, but didn't bother asking.

Not having time for introduction, Kazuma explained the plan immediately. His idea was to transfer Aqua's mana to Megumin so that she can use her explosion magic. At first the soldier thought the teen was sexually harassing the women, but the later understood as he used his "Drain Touch" Skill. The little wizard girl got the mana and prepared her magic.

"Oh, blackness shrouded in light…"

The soldiers gazed upon the multiple giant magic circle appearing above the Destroyer.

"Frenzied blaze clad in night…"

Megumin removed her eyepatch, which she wore for aesthetics reasons.

"All else aside, I don't want to be outdone by anyone else when it comes to explosion magic!"

"Here I go."

"My ultimate destructive magic…"

"Explosion!"

Upon firing, the spell made a huge blast upon impact, creating an enormous mushroom cloud which often many would mistaken for a nuclear explosion. Nothing remained of the destroyer after that.

"Have you seen anything like that before?" Truck asked Sandman, both were stunned with her abilities.

"The explosion? Maybe. A little girl making that kind of explosion? Never." Sandman replied, thinking how twisted this world would be if a child can basically be a walking bomb. Well, it was a fantasy world so they didn't mind much.

After that, the Destroyer was no more. For good this time. The arch-priest was celebrating and shouting something about a reward. Kazuma picked Megumin up and carried her on his back. It was this time Sandman received a message from his radio.

"Sandman, do you copy! What's happening there?! We've been hearing explosions coming from your direction! Over." Grinch called at the radio.

"Grinch, this is Sandman. Everything is under control here. Town is unharmed and the Destroyer has been obliterated. Returning to your location. Out" Sandman replied, expecting a surprised reaction.

"Sandman, can you repeat that. Did you say obliterated?! How the hell did you do that?!" Grinch shouted at the radio.

"Exactly as you heard. We didn't even do anything. Adventurers handled everything by themselves. How's Boss handling?", Sandman informed.

"He's out of the danger but still unconscious. We'll be waiting for your arrival. Over and Out." Grinch said as he radioed out.

Kazuma was close enough to hear the conversation. He approached Sandman and offered his assistance, "Ah, Sandman. Do you need any help? We have an Arch-priest here, she can heal anyone. Except of course undead.

"Appreciate the offer, But we can handle ourselves. And beside, your priest seems to be gone now." Sandman said as he pointed at Aqua who was running back to town with glee on her face.

"Ah! You useless goddess!" Kazuma shouted at the priest. He also noticed he was still carrying a girl behind his back. "Okay then, we'll meet you again some other time then."

Sandman watches the teen go back inside the town. After that, him and Truck proceeded to go back to the others.

Mark's location

Grinch just finished his conversation with Sandman over the radio. He was still with Yunyun and Mark who was still unconscious.

"You hear that? The town is safe and the Destroyer is gone. The two are now heading here. Nothing to worry now." Grinch informed, making Yunyun let out a relieved sigh. "But still, some people here can actually take down that thing. You adventurers sure are strong. I wonder what kind of people did it.

Yunyun had an idea who it may be. After hearing the explosions from earlier, she can only guess what kind of person would have such a spell. Her rival Megumin. Before, if she knew where Megumin was, she would immediately go to her to challenge her or help her if in trouble. But now she was more concerned with her partner. She didn't notice that Grinch was talking to her while she was in her thought.

"Young Lady? Did you hear what I just said?" Grinch called out to her.

"Ah! Sorry, what was it again?" Yunyun snapped out of her thoughts.

"I said we'll carry the Boss back to town. You show us the way to your inn." Grinch infomed.

"Okay." She agreed.
