Finally We've Arrived

This place definitely has quite the vibe to it, something I can't really explain just yet. I know someone is watching us from the shadows somewhere here.

I'd tell Amelia to use that spell from before but I don't know if I want to alert the whole damn place or not. They'll definitely have the numbers on us for sure so that's the biggest problem here.

Amelia moved up to stand next to Artemis. "What exactly is the play here?" Amelia questions with a bit of confusion in her voice.

It's hard to come up with the best way to approach this all since I've got no idea how this place is. The layout is unfamiliar to me and I don't know what the strength is of each person here.

The enemies have the biggest advantage over us with this situation regardless of how we do it.

Liora steps in front of the part and points towards a building on the right side of the path. "We can hideout there for a bit, I'll make sure it's safe when we get inside but trust me." Liora suggests with confidence.

There's not much else I can go with in this predicament so it's best to trust her on this for the time being. It'll be a lot easier for us to handle ourselves in a space like that anyway.

Being out in the open feels like suicide compared to being inside of a building anyway.

Everyone agrees with Liora before following behind her into the building itself, inside it was fairly put together as if someone was keeping up with it. Obviously that would raise some red flags with anyone since the overall look of Helfri was terrible.

The whole party decided to look around while Liora made some special touches to the main door of the building.

I'm surprised that this place would even be in tact with the type of scenery that's outside. It honestly gives me a bad feeling about the whole building.

Why would someone be keeping this place in good shape while the rest of Helfri is basically a shit hole. That's what I can't make sense of... Or is this all going to be a trap that Liora set-up for them to wipe us out.

I've got no reason to go against her in any way right now, just it's kind of odd when we're in enemy territory. That's why it's so bizarre for us to have a safe place like this when it's like this.

"How do you have a safe haven like this?" Shimada speaks up before letting out a small chuckle.

Liora finishes what she's doing before turning around to face him. "It's been a safe place for me for a long time, it's a powerful spell I learned a long time from a friend." Liora answers.

She didn't sound like she was lying about it at all but I wonder who she knew with that kind of power. Making a place like this safe must've been a piece of work but I guess everyone has someone powerful by their side.

"Thank you for bringing us into a safe spot." Amelia says with a bit of relief in her voice.

Liora gives a slight smile towards Amelia. "Of course. I don't want anyone to be in danger when we can avoid it." She responds with a genuine tone in her voice.

I knew Liora wasn't going to be an issue when she helped out with everything to begin with. She wouldn't have betrayed them if she was going to set us up in some way.

Her care for the party is starting to show more at least so that's definitely a plus side. I forgot she was with us when we were fighting against those guys on the path.

But enough of that since there's not much more to worry about with it. I'm more concerned about what enemy awaits us further into Helfri. They have the advantage and I'm sure they are plotting how they'll attack us.

After a few moments Liora walks to the middle of the room with a careful look to her. It seems as if she's curious about something with the room.

She knows this place better than we do so I don't really know what she's looking for here— it would help if she did tell us what she was looking for so we can give her a hand but it's not a big deal.

People could be heard walking about outside, probably the enemy trying to understand what they are doing here since no one ever enters Helfri without an issue.

It's clear that they are trying to open the door to the building but something is preventing them from doing so. Whatever Liora did was enough to shut them out from them entirely.

"What exactly did you do anyway?" Artemis asks with a curious tone in his voice.

"It's a wall spell you could say, something that keeps people out until it's dispelled by something stronger. I also mixed it in with an illusion spell to make it seem as if the door is gone entirely." Liora responds with a small smile still across her face.

It makes sense why they can't get in but I'm sure someone will find a way to get to us before we are ready. The cult doesn't seem to have any hesitation with sending strong people to fight.

I've fought against a general, a keeper, and of course the standard soldiers. I'm kind of curious to see who they'll send this time around.

Getting stronger is the way to go if I want to wipe them all out within the next few years. Fighting against stronger enemies will help me improve my abilities overall so this is the way to go.

"I'm glad you are finally understanding how it'll be to use our abilities more." The girls soft voice echoes around him.

Her timing is always on point when it comes to these thoughts of mine.
