Chapter 16: Flying Lesson with Frequent Problems (Part 3)
"***Petrificus Totalus!***"
As Ivan chanted the Body-Bind Curse, a grayish-white light shot out from Ivan's wand and flew towards Malfoy in the distance.
In mid-air, the smug Malfoy did not anticipate Ivan's action at all, and was hit hard by the Body-Bind Curse. His originally fair skin turned into a stiff gray in less than half a second, and his expression and movements also remained at the moment of being petrified.
In this state, Malfoy couldn't even move a finger, let alone control the broom under him, and immediately fell straight down from a high altitude.
Of course, although his body was petrified, Malfoy's consciousness was still intact.
But if he had a choice, Malfoy would rather know nothing.
After all, falling from a great height and watching the ground getting closer and closer, the feeling of gradually approaching death is enough to make a person collapse. If Malfoy had not been petrified, he would have started singing high notes long ago.
The moment Ivan used the Body-Bind Curse to hit Malfoy, he turned to Hermione and said,
"Hermione, now!"
The clever little witch understood Ivan's plan the moment he made his move, but now Hermione obviously had no time to blame Ivan. She only had time to glare at Ivan and then shouted...
"***Wingardium Leviosa!***"
Malfoy was extremely frightened at this time, imagining himself being smashed into several pieces while being petrified.
Malfoy even thought about how old Malfoy would torture Ivan, Harry, and others to avenge himself after his death.
Just when Malfoy had thought that the Malfoy family might decline because of his unfortunate death, his rapidly falling body suddenly stopped, and Malfoy just hung in the air...
Miss Granger breathed a sigh of relief after successfully casting the emergency spell, and Ivan beside her also quietly put down his wand.
"Malfoy..." As soon as Malfoy landed safely, the young wizards from Slytherin House immediately surrounded him.
The students of Gryffindor House were gloating, after all, Malfoy's arrogant look before was really annoying.
The only person who was dissatisfied with this was Miss Granger.
"Ivan, how could you use the Body-Bind Curse on Malfoy... You have to know that you almost killed him!" Hermione glared at Ivan angrily, her eyes full of disbelief.
"So you used the Levitation Charm very well. If Professor Flitwick saw it, he would definitely give you extra points," Ivan said with a smile.
Of course it is impossible for Malfoy to die just because of his Body-Bind Curse. At most he would just suffer a little. Even if Hermione failed to cast the spell, doesn't he still have him as an insurance?
"Yeah... maybe Professor Flitwick will even expel you!" Hermione said unhappily.
Ivan scratched his head, thinking that it would only be a few points deducted, at most a trophy cleaning or a night in the Forbidden Forest?
If it's the latter, Ivan thinks it's pretty good...
Of course, Ivan had absolutely no intention of going to the Forbidden Forest this semester, no matter how hard he tried.
After all, Quirrell, who was possessed by Voldemort, often liked to wander around in the Forbidden Forest. Who knows if he would run into bad luck...
So it's better to stay hidden. If you don't commit suicide on your own initiative, Hogwarts will still be very safe before the fourth year.
Ivan thought back to his unreliable golden finger. With four years, plus the cheating system, he should be able to save his life, right?
Ivan thought as he walked towards Malfoy.
Halfway through the journey, they were stopped by some young Slytherin wizards. The leader was a Slytherin whom Ivan had a vague impression of, and his name seemed to be Blaise Zabini.
"Hals, what are you doing here?" Blaise said with a frown, tightly gripping the wand in his hand.
Facing foreign enemies, Slytherin House is still very united. Although Malfoy usually looks arrogant, there are still many young wizards willing to stand up and defend Malfoy. A group of people seemed to be surrounding Ivan.
Not to mention the righteous little lions of Gryffindor, who stood behind Ivan one after another, and both sides drew their wands... even though these beginner magics might not be as effective as fists.
Ivan shook his head, raised his hand to stop Ron who was about to roll up his sleeves, and said to Blaise.
"I'm here to help Malfoy remove the Body-Bind Curse. I believe you all saw clearly what happened just now. It was Malfoy who started the trouble first..."
Blaise seemed a little hesitant, but after thinking it over, he signaled everyone to move aside. Ivan also did as he said and removed the Body-Bind Curse on Malfoy.
Malfoy's calves were still shaking from the ups and downs he had just experienced, but in order not to lose face in front of everyone, he still managed to get up from the ground and shouted at Ivan in a stern voice.
"How dare you cast a spell on me! You're done for, Hals!"
"Really?" Ivan looked at Draco Malfoy and said, "What will happen if I tell the professor that you stole Neville's crystal ball and flew it privately?"
Ivan approached Malfoy step by step, and his tone suddenly became serious.
"I heard that Filch likes to bring disobedient children to his office, tie their hands with chains and hang them from the ceiling, and then do some strange things with whips and sticks..."
Malfoy was frightened for a moment, because there was indeed such a rumor among the senior students in the school. He even forgot that if it was true, Ivan, who violated the school rules, would also receive the same treatment as him.
Seeing the good results, Ivan was ready to make further efforts, but before he could open his mouth, he heard Madam Hooch's voice behind him.
"You...how dare you!"
Madam Hooch, who had rushed back in time after sending Neville to the hospital wing, saw Malfoy falling from the sky on the way. Now, seeing the young wizards from Gryffindor and Slytherin Houses in a tense situation, she became very angry.
Especially when Harry, who was holding the crystal ball, just came down from the sky on a broom with a confused look on his face, Madam Hooch became even more angry.
Ivan helplessly covered his face with his hands. He had never expected Madam Hooch to come back at this time. He had been thinking about having a good talk with Malfoy, but now he was probably finished...
Thinking about it carefully, Ivan found that it seemed that he had dug his own grave. If he had not used the Levitation Charm to save Neville before, Madam Hooch would still be in the hospital wing worrying about Neville.
