Bradley was tied up caring for Selena for three days before remembering to check on me.
He rushed to the hospital room, only to find an empty bed.
Hurriedly, he grabbed a passing nurse and asked, "Where's the patient from room 304?"
The nurse replied, "Mrs Hunter was discharged three days ago."
Bradley pulled out his phone and texted me:
[Your injury hasn't healed yet. How could you leave the hospital on your own?]
But a red exclamation mark popped up.
His heart skipped a beat, and an inexplicable sense of panic arose.
He immediately ordered his assistant to find my whereabouts.
When Selena learned he was searching everywhere for me, she pouted and said discontentedly:
"Uncle, she left, so what? Don't we have our pick of socialites in our circles?"
"Since Olivia doesn't know what's good for her, just get a new fiancée."
Bradley couldn't explain why he felt so anxious.
Selena was supposed to be the apple of his eye.
But the thought of me truly leaving made him feel like he was being choked.
It wasn't until his assistant told him I was trying on wedding dresses at a bridal shop that Bradley finally breathed a sigh of relief.
So I was just throwing a little tantrum.
After all, I loved him so much in my past life, how could I bear to really leave?
I must have forgiven him and was secretly preparing for the wedding, eager to become his bride. On the night before the wedding, Bradley held a bachelor party with his brothers.
After several rounds of drinks, a tipsy friend patted his shoulder and sighed:
"When you stood up Olivia at the engagement party, I thought I finally had a chance."
Bradley's face darkened.
His friend, oblivious to his displeasure, continued:
"Olivia was the campus beauty at Yale, gorgeous and talented. Every guy on campus had a crush on her."
The others chimed in, expressing their envy.
"Olivia's stunning figure could make anyone lose their mind with just one glance. You're one lucky bastard."
"If I had a girlfriend who brought me homemade lunches every day, I'd be willing to enter the graveyard of marriage too."
Bradley recalled our first meeting at a charity gala.
I had set aside my rich girl pride to toast and fundraise, clearly in financial straits.
When someone made an inappropriate advance, he stepped in to rescue me.
Learning of Bradley's severe stomach issues, I showed my gratitude by personally delivering meals to his office daily.
One day, during a torrential downpour, I arrived soaking wet but had protected the lunchbox.
Bradley's heart softened at that moment, and he proposed an arranged marriage.
His friends knew full well that Bradley was marrying me only to shield Selena from gossip and rumors. However, that night he tossed and turned, unable to sleep, feeling an unprecedented nervousness.
Bradley rushed to the Four Seasons Hotel early in the morning, where the wedding had been held in his past life.
Just as he was about to enter the bridal suite, a staff member stopped him:
"Sir, this area is reserved for the reserved for the bridal party. No unauthorized personnel allowed."
