Inside a rarely used Inner Palace chamber of the Palace, two walls bore strange demonic faces.
Just like Mujin had once done, Hiroki embedded the Box of Ultimate Bliss into the wall structure.
Right now, Hiroki, Kimimaro, and Satori — who had already transformed into his human form — stood inside this room.
The reason Satori hadn't left yet was not only due to concern they might destroy the Box of Ultimate Bliss, but also because it secretly hoped to gain some advantage from this situation.

Once sufficient negative energy and chakra had been collected, there would be somewhere big to go.
Following Satori's mention about something previously exchanged with the Box of Ultimate Bliss, Hiroki spent several hours experimenting.
Finally, he somewhat figured out how the Box could be used.
It couldn't create something from nothing or perform addition, simply put.
But it could cause events that would inevitably happen anyway to occur earlier, eliminating the time in between.
Freezing a bucket of water, letting a sapling grow into a full-grown tree — these were all things he'd just accomplished using the Box of Ultimate Bliss.
Standing aside watching silently, Satori inwardly grinned. Using so much chakra just to accomplish such minor tasks… you guys are losing out here.
"This thing works like a conversion platform?" Hiroki murmured thoughtfully.
Kaguya seemed deep in thought.
Hiroki turned his gaze toward Satori.
"I'll make a blood contract with you and establish a summoning pact."
"What?" Satori's expression drastically changed.
This guy actually intended to make it his Summoning Beast.
"What's wrong with that?"
Before Satori could even react, Hiroki had already launched the God Vacuum Strike with Kaguya's power and subdued it.
On an otherwise clean Contract Scroll, one side displayed Hiroki's name written faintly in blood, while on the other side was Satori's bloody fingerprint forcibly pressed there after spitting up blood.
Whether it agreed or not, the contract had already bound them together.
"I hope we can work well together." Hiroki smiled as he pocketed the scroll.
Satori glared at him angrily.
In the afternoon, Hinata returned home. After dinner, Hiashi asked her to stay behind.
Father and daughter sat together on the corridor outside the entranceway, where Hiashi himself brought up the topic concerning Hanabi.
Hinata no longer was the ignorant little girl she once was; regarding the differences between Branch House and Main House, even if she hadn't actively sought to understand them, she'd heard about them from others before.
Seated cross-legged before Hiashi, Hinata maintained a very respectful expression. "Father, if it must come to that, please choose Hanabi to lead the clan instead. I am willing to step aside."
Hiashi's expression remained unchanged, making it impossible to tell what he was thinking. He said, "No, there's a better solution. Neither of you will bear the Caged Bird seal."
Hinata immediately perked up.
Glancing slightly toward the sky, Hiashi spoke in a normal tone. "As long as you're strong enough, anything is possible—even controlling the life and death of all beings. When that time comes, who would dare say anything?"
"Hmm?" Hinata's face showed confusion.
She had the feeling that Hiashi was hinting at something far more profound.
Hiashi returned his gaze and said, "Hinata, I've witnessed the ultimate power of the Byakugan on the Moon."
"That's the Tenseigan. Possessing such eyes would make everything much easier. The Tenseigan holds the power to destroy and create worlds. It is the final evolution of the Byakugan."
Upon hearing this, Kaguya once again felt a strange emotion similar to when she first heard about the Box of Ultimate Bliss.
In her memories, there had never been any mention of a "Tenseigan" within the Otsutsuki Clan.
If such a powerful eye truly existed, she could only attribute it to the mysterious nature of this planet.
"Father, what should we do then?" Hinata asked.
"Only a Byakugan of extreme purity can awaken the Tenseigan. Hinata, take Hanabi with us as we journey to the Moon."
"Father, why must Hanabi come along? She's still too young. Going somewhere unfamiliar might put her in danger," Hinata replied.
She didn't doubt Hiashi's words, but she worried for Hanabi's safety.
"If this matter concerns her, naturally she must come along."
"Father, when shall we depart?" Hinata asked again.
Hiashi remained silent, gazing into the distance.
Obviously, they would wait until the people of Konoha were distracted or no longer interfering.
As the sun set and dinner time arrived, inside a private room:
"We still haven't found a single lead," Juzo sighed.
"Don't worry, Juzo. We still have time," someone responded.
Juzo stared at the speaker, feeling slight irritation.
It was precisely because he was stuck leading this bumbling lot that progress had been so slow.
Finishing their meal quickly, a female ninja took a new plate filled with random food and headed toward the room where Karin was confined.
This was meant for Karin's dinner.
Though regarded merely as a means to an end, Karin still received three meals a day from the Grass Ninja.
Juzo gave a cold glance at the retreating figure of the female ninja, lost in thought.
Arriving outside Karin's room, the female ninja nodded toward the Chunin standing guard by the door.
The Chunin departed to get his own meal.
The female ninja stepped in and set the tray down on the small table beside Karin's bed.
"Your dinner."
Karin quietly finished her meal without a word.
A little later, the female ninja somehow produced an apple from somewhere and handed it to Karin dryly, "Here."
At this, Karin froze completely.
Why?
Hadn't this woman beaten her just like the others?
Back in the village, she had treated Karin and her mother no differently than the other ninja.
Why was she suddenly showing kindness now?
Karin remained silent, not reaching out to accept it.
The female ninja raised an eyebrow but didn't push further, simply setting the apple down beside Karin's bedside table.
After briefly cleaning up, Karin climbed onto her bed, covering herself entirely—even her head—with the thin blanket, forcing herself to fall asleep.
No matter what was on her mind, she wouldn't risk doing anything reckless—not after just being caught once.
"Hey!" Several hours later, Karin, who hadn't yet fallen asleep, suddenly heard the female ninja's voice.
"I'm sick of this village. Karin, do you want to come with me?"
Lying on the bed, Karin was surprised but stayed quiet.
"Leave Grass Village and go somewhere else. There, you'll have friends who care and look after you—nothing like how things are here..." The kunoichi seemed to realize Karin wasn't asleep, judging from her breathing, and kept talking.
She still didn't respond.
She didn't know where else she could go or how to survive on her own.
And more importantly, could she really trust this woman?
If caught by Grass Village ninjas again, this time it wouldn't just mean a beating.
The female ninja continued, "Actually, our mission this time is to find someone. Juzo was worried about running into danger, so he got permission from the village to bring you along. We'll also leave Grass Country midway and head to other countries. No matter whether we find that person or not, this mission won't last longer than a month."
Karin remained silent. What did missions like this have to do with her anyway?
She simply didn't care.
Would any credit or benefits ever be given to her?
No.
They'd just say that since Grass Village had been taking care of her, she should naturally make some sacrifices.
Seeing Karin unmoved and pretending to be asleep, the woman gritted her teeth and said, "Aren't you eager to get out? How about I let you out for two hours every day? During the daytime, it might not always be me guarding you, but at night, it will definitely be me..."
Her eyes lit up. She gently pulled off the blanket, hesitating slightly before speaking, "...Won't they find out?"
"I won't tell them. Starting tomorrow, what do you think?"
"Okay." Karin finally nodded.
The next morning, Tsunade left Konoha toward Daimyo's Mansion, accompanied by several ninja.
All formalities regarding the succession were already underway—the only thing left was the Daimyo's formal approval.
After all, the Daimyo was nominally the superior of the Hokage.
Face had to be shown.
Hiashi watched silently as she passed the village border, then turned and hurried back home, intercepting Hinata just as she was about to step out.
