After Serafall's demand of storytime, I had thought for a moment, organizing what I would tell them about each of the five stories. Naturally, I did not remember the exact specifics of the stories personally but I still remembered the rough plot points.
I also declined Raphael's offer to refresh my memories in order to have plausible deniability.
Naturally, I did not want to tell Ajuka and Serafall everything, and this way I wouldn't be lying to say I couldn't remember the specifics.
I gave them the rough plots of the four stories besides DxD first as they were less important to the devil race and I could skim through them relatively quickly.
Then began by telling them Date A Live since I had no proof it existed in this world. Although I had to stop my storytelling several times due to Ajuka.
He wanted to know the details about the spirit's powers especially since they were based on the Sephirot and could invert to their Qliphoth counterpart.
We discussed how they wield weapons with the names of angels that became, demon kings in their inverse form. I told him the rough powers of the spirits such as Kurumi being able to manipulate time with Zafkiel and Tohka using her angel Sandalphone as a physical weapon that can launch energy-based attacks.
I then proceeded to explain the organizations that were focused on the spirits before giving an overview of the plot.
Serafall and Ajuka both said that they had no records about the spirits or the organizations that appeared in the plot.
We assumed either they would be formed in the future or just the only part of that story that existed in this world were the spirits as it was possible for spirits formed on the Sephirot to have been born through Christianities legends.
I proceeded quickly to explain Spirit Chronicles as there was not much point going into detail about Date A Live without confirmation of it being a part of this world.
Spirit Chronicles was much the same so I swiftly explained the story of Amakawa Haruto being reincarnated as Rio in another world with sourcery and spirit arts and hero summonings.
I also explained the background of the seven wise gods, six great spirits, and the dragon king being the administrators of the world, left behind by the world's creator, and their restrictions on using their Authorities.
I mentioned the great war that occurred a thousand years ago, from the story setting, against an endless horde of invading monsters. I elaborated how wise god Lina went to the great spirits for help and then to the dragon king and how the other six wise gods betrayed the spirits, sealing them in the hero summoning stones before disappearing.
How the dragon king and Lina eventually managed to defeat the invading hoard at the cost of their lives and how they reincarnated together on Earth as Haruto and Miharu. I briefly mentioned how Lina split her authority from her soul to create Aishia thus she could only reincarnate as a Human.
After finishing the plot explanation I explained to my listeners how, when designing our game world, we mentioned how we had intended to incorporate this story into our game.
After explaining the details Ajuka informed me that he had never seen any record that suggested 7 gods, six great spirits, and a dragon had taken the remaining sorcerers from Earth before recorded human history(by humanity) began.
This worried me a bit as one of us had said she would use Miharu as her character.
So if the others had reincarnated along with me, what had happened to her?
Especially if this world didn't actually include Spirit Chronicles.
-----
Serafall pulled me out of my worrying by demanding the next story.
I then proceeded to start my explanation of the first story that was definitely included in this world.
Missfit of Demon King Academy.
The interesting thing about this was that, whilst the story focused on a character reincarnating like Spirit Chronicles, there was a 2000-year jump in before his reincarnation.
This world definitely had ancient demons but the knowledge I had didn't give any clue as to whether the story of Misfit actually happened. There was a tyrannical king of ancient demons who had recordedly perished but whether he reincarnated was unknown.
Hoping to gain some clarity from Ajuka, I began explaining Anos' history as the Demon King of Tyranny, the four-way war between Gods, Demons, Heros, and Spirits, and its eventual resolution through Anos' sacrifice.
I managed to get through the first few volumes of the light novel, up until the end of the Azesion arc before Ajuka couldn't hold back his excitement anymore.
Whilst he was mildly interested in the plot of Date A Live and Spirit Chronicles, Missfit of Demon King Academy had thoroughly grabbed his attention.
To Ajuka, this was the perfect opportunity to get knowledge about lost ancient demon spells.
He didn't let it go to waste.
He began quizzing me on all the spells that had been used in the story and I had to explain that despite knowing the names of the spells I had no idea about their operation.
Ajuka was a bit disappointed but understood that a story naturally wouldn't go into the details of how each spell was cast.
Eventually, it ended up with him giving me a lesson.
I would give the name of a spell and its effect as described in the story before Ajuka would give me a lesson on his theories on how such a spell would be cast as well as modern spells that had been made in an attempt to recapture the power of ancient demon spells.
Lots of the explanations were just too advanced for me.
Despite having Raphael download some knowledge on more basic spells into my brain, I had never been taught about magic. I could perform spells but I did it without fully understanding the process, following instructions without understanding the reason for each step in the instructions.
Naturally, the imagination-based magic helped.
I could just force a spell into existence through sheer will but this was incredibly power intensive which was why demons and devils still had magic theory and spell craft to make the process more efficient.
Despite not really understanding what Ajuka was going on about, I listened intently, letting Raphael store the knowledge so I could use it after getting a magic education.
After all, it was still a lesson from a mage who had created a spell to gain absolute control over the laws of the world.

"Kay-chan, Juka-chan enoguh! I'm going to fall asleep! And not because of story time!" Serafall's indignantly interrupted.
"Quickly explain our story Kay-chan, we can discuss the other ones some other time."
"Fine, I'll explain Highschool DxD." I acquiesced.
"Lots of these stories are set in a school though." Ajuka pointed out with interest.
"Well, what do you expect sick children who never got to experience school life would want to read."
"No, I mean, if we're assuming whatever reincarnated you manipulated you into reading the stories based on this world. It would suggest that a lot of key events of this world started in schools."
"Juka-chan, there is no use thinking about this now, since, besides the ancient demon one, they all happen in the future. We just have to wait to find out."
"Anyway," I interrupted, bringing the conversation back on track.
"The story is set in Kuoh following a boy named Issei Hyoudou who gets attacked and killed by a fallen angel due to being the possessor of a sacred gear and is then reincarnated by Rias Gremory."
"Why were the fallen there anyway Kay-chan, Cleria-chan and the exorcists wouldn't let a fallen just roam around the town killing Humans?"
"Because they weren't there, Cleria was dead and the church had retreated from Kuoh before, eventually, Rias and your little sister moved in and took charge of overseeing the town."
"Wah, Cleria-chan was dead!?" Serafall, surprisingly managed to focus on the important thing not her little sister.
"And So-tan goes to Kuoh too?!"
Nevermind.
"Yeh," I looked to Ajuka, "she was killed after getting evidence on the users of the King Pieces."
"Bael," he said simply.
"You know?"
"I know the Great King faction has possession of them but they're too wary of me so I can't get any evidence. In fact, I don't even know who has them currently."
"I see. Well, if the same thing happens in the future you can stop it. Also, the ones who used them were Roygun Belphegor, Bedeze Abaddon, and 5 others in the rating game's top ten. The Great King faction was using them to manipulate the games. Though, of the 7, only Roygun Belphegor didn't use it to gain benefits, she did it purely because she loved the Rating Games."
"I see." Ajuka nodded, mentally taking notes.
"Kay-chan well keep an eye on Cleria-chan don't worry. Now quick tell me about So-tan."
"Sona and her peerage, whilst frequently appearing in the story, mostly only as support to Rias' peerage as Issei isn't a part of their group."
"Nooo, So-tan should be the most important, she should have reincarnated that Issei. Humph."
"I don't think you'd want that, Issei is a pervert who has no shame in showing off his perversion throughout the story, mostly on the girls in Rias' peerage."
"If he ever gets close to my So-tan, I'll turn him into a popsicle."
Serafall immediately changed her mind.
"Anyway, the story mostly follows a relatively simple plot that repeats itself. The Gremory peerage up against terrorists who are against the peace treaty. Oh, this peace treaty was between the three biblical factions before being brought out, starting with the Norse."
Both Satans were now frowning at that.
"Why would we let a bunch of children fight terrorists?" Serafall asked.
"I think it boils down to three factors. Firstly to let them gain experience and grow, and secondly to act as a showcase to other factions outside the alliance about the next generation. Finally, because it was inevitable that they would end up in trouble anyway."
"Isn't facing terrorists fighting a multi-faction alliance too extreme for training, and why would they always end up in trouble?"
"Well, this terrorist organization was made up of multiple groups with different power levels. Additionally, Rias' peerage definitely had the capability to fight them once they grew up a bit after all they had:
A pureblood devil with POD.
A half-fallen daughter of Barakiel and a Himejime shrine maiden.
A nekoushou.
A wielder of the sacred gear Sword Birth.
A dhampir with the secret gear Forbidden Balor View.
Issei Hydou who is the Red Dragon Emperor.
A wielder of the sacred gear Twilight Healing.
The wielder of Holy Sword Durandal.
A Valkyrie who has mastery over multiple systems of magic."
During my listing of Rias' peerage Serafalls eyes had grown wider and wider until she jumped out of her seat when I finished.
"What is that outrageous peerage?! And Issei is the Red Dragon Emperor?" She practically shouted.
"Yeah, it is ridiculous but that was how they kept up as the strength of their enemies got greater, they just had so much untapped potential that each fight prepared them for the next one. Although they only seemed to just survive."
Serafall slumped back in her chair looking drained.
"Gremory luck right?" Ajuka asked, theorizing the Gremory clan trait had been at play for such a group to form.
"I think so, after all, she met most of them at the lowest point in their life and gained almost unwavering loyalty simply by helping them, she didn't need to put in effort to gain it. In fact, Rias never seemed to put in effort for anything, wasting the immense potential of her peerage, which is why she lost against her fiance when trying to escape an arranged marriage."
"Details please," Serafall perked up at the smell of gossip. Even if it was future gossip.
"She was engaged to Riser Phenex but hated him due to his playboy nature, arrogance and only seeing her as the Gremory heir. She tried to escape her marriage through a rating game but lost."
"On the day the marriage was meant to happen Issei stormed the place and challenged Riser to a duel over Rias' virginity. Sirzechs used his position to force the match, framing it as an age-old fight between Dragons and Phoenix. Issei eventually won due to sacrificing an arm to Ddrag."
"There's so much to unpack here," Serafall muttered, "but what do you mean the duel was for Rias' virginity?"
"That's what I mean by his perversion. He loudly and proudly declared, right in the middle of a wedding banquet with loads of high-class devils, that Rias' virginity would be his."
"Definitely not letting him near So-tan." She nodded, adopting a serious look whilst crossing her arms. "What about So-tan though?"
"She had easily escaped her arranged marriage by stating she wouldn't marry someone unless they could beat her in chess. Then proceeded to thrash anyone who tried for her hand."
"As expected of So-tan, definitive proof my little sister is better than Zechs-chans'."
She began preening about how her sister was 'the bestist and amazingist'.
"I never understood why a long-lived race like devils would arrange marriages between children. You have so long to find a partner you could live with." I started looking at Ajuka.
"Politics," he stated simply, "not only to link houses together but also so the old devils can hold onto their power by making pure-blood marriages when it doesn't really matter after I invented the Evil Pieces. In fact, half-blood children or those born between reincarnated devils grow faster as they are not as heavily affected by their sins."
"I get the politics behind it but surely there are other ways to create a link between houses than forcing children into a potentially hateful marriage that could last thousands of years and would surely add tension to an alliance?"
"That's just how it is Kay-chan," Serafall rejoined the conversation, "also don't forget the pride of older devils who 'know what's best for the children'."
"I still think it's silly."
"It is outdated but there's no avoiding it Cain," Ajuka said, "if Serafall is going to accept you as her son you'll start receiving proposals from families wanting to form connections with one of the four Satans, after all, you will be the only child of a Satan."
"Are you serious?" I groaned.
I knew I would get involved in the devil politics if I joined their faction. It was the tradeoff. To gain their protection I would have to follow their rules and customs.
"Couldn't you just turn them all down? And what about Millicas?"
"Who?" Serafall asked, "Also it wouldn't be possible to turn them all down especially considering we'll introduce you as a Sitri-Zagan since we should hide your super special Astaroth trait."
"She's right, considering the Zagan house is extinct, there will be loads of marriage proposals for you from people wanting you to make children with the Zagan trait," Ajuka added.
"There's nothing I can do then," I sighed at my fate, "also Millicas is the son of Sirzechs and Grayfia in the DxD stories, I suppose he wouldn't have been born yet."
"Zechs-chan is going to have a son!" Serafall sparkled in amazement and a small smile crossed Ajuka's face.
"It's not certain this world will follow the story though." I pointed out considering the story was a crossover.
"That's right, but there's a good chance the people will be the same even if the plot future doesn't follow the plot," Ajuka stated, before returning back to the topic of marriage.
"The best way to avoid an arranged marriage is with an arranged marriage. You just have to accept one and the rest should slow down even if they don't stop."
"That's right!" Serafall's eyes sparkled.
"Since we need to discuss the matter of your knowledge of potential future terrorist organizations with Zechs-chan and Falb-chan, we might as well schedule a meeting where we can all listen to your storytelling." She said.
"Instead, I need to find the best wife for my Kay-chan! You can't have So-tan since she's mine, you also seem to have a bad impression of Rias-chan, so that leaves Seekvaira-chan, Latia-chan, Kuisha-chan, Roxanne-chan—. Oh, but Roxanne-chan might be a reincarnator like Kay-chan."
"Serafall, you're doing what you just said the older devils do." Ajuka interrupted her spoken thoughts.
"Are you calling me old Juka-chan?! We can't be friends anymore!" She shrieked before crouching down and started to produce fake tears while Ajuka just sighed whilst I was still stuck on Serafall's sudden personality change into match-maker.
