Chapter 33

Kael's POV.

The seer's words hit me like a punch, her voice sharp and heavy. "Don't fall deeply in love with her. You'll be hurting her." My heart pounded, my chest tight, my wolf Zeus growling loud, his anger matching mine.

I didn't believe her, not one word. Aria was my Luna, my mate, and I'd protect her, no matter what.

The seer stood there, her gray eyes steady, her wrinkled hand gripping the book she'd given me, its weight heavy in my hands.

She kept talking, her voice low, explaining how my love for Aria was dangerous, how it would bring her harm.

I shook my head, my fists clenching, my blood boiling. "You're wrong," I growled, my voice rough, echoing in the small, dusty room.

Her eyes softened, like she pitied me, but I didn't care.

"Alpha Kael, you…" she was going to say but I cut her off.

I turned sharply, storming out of the room, the door slamming behind me, the sound sharp in the quiet cabin.
