The Day After Chaos

Slowly opening his eyes, Yan realized he was back in his room.

Glancing at his wristwatch, which read almost five in the afternoon, he frowned in confusion.

"Was it all a dream?" he murmured, still dazed.

He got up and walked toward his mother's room, but as he passed the hallway, he heard voices coming from downstairs.

Descending the stairs, he found four beautiful women chatting calmly in the living room.

'So it was all real,' he thought, a chill running down his spine.

Noticing movement by the staircase, Helena turned her head quickly.

"Yan! My son, how are you?" she asked, rushing to hug him tightly.

Surprised by the concern in her eyes, Yan felt a warm sensation rise in his chest.

"I'm fine, Mom. Just... a little disoriented."

She cupped his face gently and searched his eyes as if trying to find some invisible wound.

"Are you sure you're okay, sweetheart?"

"Yeah. Actually, I feel even better. Stronger than before," he replied, trying to ease her worry.

Without another word, Helena pulled him over to the sofa with determined hands.

"So, what exactly happened? I can't really remember everything clearly..."

The women exchanged glances before beginning to explain what had occurred.

"You caused all of it, yes. And there was even an unidentified entity involved," Diana said seriously.

"We couldn't figure out what—or who—it was," Aurora added, arms crossed.

"Wait... an entity? And it didn't show any hostility? That's strange..." Yan muttered, suspicious.

"Even if it seemed harmless, don't let your guard down, little brother. No one knows what it might do," Aurora warned.

"She's right. That entity didn't feel weak at all," Diana said. "Even with the four of us nearby, we didn't sense it approaching."

Yan sighed, running his hands through his hair.

"What a mess I got myself into..."

"Standing still won't fix anything," Alice said, breaking her silence.

Yan nodded in agreement.

"You're right. Now that I can use mana, I need to get stronger—be ready for anything."

"Just remember you need to fill your mana core first," Diana reminded him.

Helena stroked Yan's cheek gently and smiled.

"Yes, darling. Focus on that first. The first level isn't that hard. I know you're eager to face dimensional beasts, but all in due time."

Yan nodded, but then his stomach growled.

"Speaking of which... I'm starving. I think I only had breakfast today."

Helena let out a soft laugh.

"Hehe… then let Mommy prepare your favorite dish. Wait for me at the table."

Thirty minutes later, the table was filled with warm, delicious dishes. The aroma enveloped the room like a warm blanket.

"Everyone, eat as much as you like. And you, sweetheart, come here—I'm going to feed you today," Helena said, pulling a chair beside her.

Yan smiled. He was used to this kind of pampering and didn't resist.

"I wanted to feed my Yan today, Mom..." Aurora muttered with a pout.

After dinner, they returned to the living room and put on a random movie. Once another bad comedy finished, the conversation resumed.

"So, I noticed you know me. When exactly did we meet? Because I'm pretty sure I'd remember someone as beautiful as you," Yan said, looking at Diana.

She smiled, clearly flattered.

"Smooth talker… But you wouldn't remember me anyway. I met you when you were just two years old."

"Hm, I see. And how did you four meet, anyway? You seem really close to my family."

"Well, your mother and I have been friends for a long time," Diana replied. "And through that, our daughters met and eventually became friends too."

Yan narrowed his eyes slightly.

"That's odd. If you've been friends for so long, why have I never seen you here until now?"

At his question, Diana cast a sharp look at Helena, who pretended not to notice.

"Ahem... Let's leave that for another time, dear. It's getting late, and we're all tired. Time for bed," Helena said quickly, dragging Yan up the stairs.

"And tonight, you're sleeping with me—no arguments," she declared, pushing him gently into the room and locking the door behind them.

"Honestly, I wasn't going to say no," Yan replied, taking off his shirt and throwing himself onto the bed.

Helena stepped out of the closet wearing a sleek, black nightgown, her movements graceful as she walked toward him.

"What's wrong, darling? Do I make you nervous?" she asked in a teasing tone, lying beside him and resting her head on his shoulder.

Yan took a deep breath to calm himself, but instead inhaled the sweet, delicate scent of her perfume. It was soft and intoxicating, the kind that lingered in the mind.

Helena glanced at him sideways, pleased to see how easily she affected him. For her, that closeness was only natural—a deep, almost possessive love only a mother could have.

"Good night, sweetheart. Tomorrow will be a busy day," she said softly, pressing a light kiss to his cheek and tightening her embrace.

Still slightly dazed, Yan mimicked her gesture.

"Good night, Mom."

The moment he closed his eyes, Helena kept hers open, watching his face with a serene yet intense expression. There was love in her gaze—but something else, too. Something silent, possessive, and dangerously patient.

Downstairs, as the house fell silent:

'You've got a yandere mom and don't even know it, little Yan,' Diana thought, amused.
