Chapter 12 Award

Chapter 12 Award

The game scene was filled with intense play. Aran's ability to defend and handle Rens' dribbling was one of the game's highlights. The U23 team's defense improved dramatically, which was due to Aran's solo goal that helped revive hopes of beating the main team.

Although there were gaps to exploit and mistakes to see, goalkeeper Noah ultimately managed to sweep those things into his own gloves.

After Kiebler changed roles to marking and assisting ball passes, the offensive game gained more dimension because the main team was so wary of Kiebler that they neglected other players' attacks. Despite having chances from Julian and Klos' potential goal attempts, and exciting moments from Aran's dribbling, ultimately it lacked sharpness and needed a bit of luck, and they couldn't score additional goals.

Twelve minutes passed, and the effect of Aran's Immortal skill wore off. Aran didn't risk pushing further and substituted himself out of the field, letting reserve player Kals come in.

Aran left the field, grabbed some water to quench his thirst, and went to greet both team managers.

"Same old story," Jager said.

"Not much, just luck helped," Aran smiled in response.

"You're really not going to stay here? From what you showed today, if you train and learn for another ten years, the head coach position of Red Kaiser's main team won't escape you," Jens said.

Aran smiled and shook his head.

"I'll leave right now. If I wait until the game ends, the reporters will definitely swarm me. Thank you for everything you've given me over the past ten years."

"Hey, even though your team is leading, the game isn't over yet. If you get tied and lose, according to our agreement, I won't let you return to Thailand," Jager countered.

"There are three minutes left. Maybe we'll get tied, but somehow my team must score a goal back... that guy must score," Aran said, then walked straight into the changing room.

Jager frowned confidently, turned back to watch the game, and chuckled because Rens had already scored an equalizing goal.

"If this cocky kid actually loses, I'll drag him back even if he's already on the plane, even if he's already returned to Thailand."

The match restarted with only one and a half minutes remaining. This was the U23 team's final attack, and Aran's planned strategy succeeded.

The main Red Kaiser team was out of energy to press. For the past fifteen minutes, they had been running wildly but couldn't steal the ball from Aran. Now, even pressing was ineffective, so they dropped back to defend.

Patrick, who excelled in endurance, demonstrated his speed advantage while tired. He dribbled past three or four players effortlessly, with the goal of passing to two players: Kiebler and Julian. Patrick passed to Kiebler by instinct without overthinking.

Kiebler received the ball, seemed about to pass back, but then pivoted and easily dribbled past Davie.

Suddenly dribbling like this would naturally shock the defense. In that instant, the opposing team's defenders were stunned, and Kiebler easily shot the ball into the net.

The final cheer of the match rang out, and the referee blew a long whistle signaling the end of the match.

Three to four - Red Kaiser's U23 team incredibly defeated the main Red Kaiser team.

"How? Why did Davie let Kiebler dribble past so easily?" Jager's shaking voice still couldn't believe what happened.

Kiebler's sudden ability to dribble past Davie was the result of a trap Aran had set.

In the first half, after Kiebler scored his first goal due to the defenders' carelessness, Davie began marking him more closely. Kiebler tried hard to find ways to dribble past, but couldn't. This made Davie become overconfident. In the second half, Kiebler took advantage of Davie's overconfidence to score again. Davie then decided to mark Kiebler tightly. But when he started marking, Kiebler only passed the ball back and stopped dribbling and shooting. The fifteen minutes of Kiebler just passing the ball created an illusion that he would no longer dribble or shoot goals.

And Davie was haunted by that illusion. When the fifteen minutes Aran ordered ended, Kiebler returned to being a forward hungry for goals in the remaining time.

The illusion and energy accumulated over fifteen minutes allowed Kiebler to dribble past and score successfully.

Aran had packed his things in advance. Truthfully, even if the match result was a defeat, Aran was still planning to escape. Now he was in a taxi heading straight to the airport.

Ding.

Aran read the message that appeared before him and grinned widely, looking at the sky through the car window. Thinking about what he must do when returning to Thailand made him feel excited.

"From now on, this is the real thing"
