Chapter 115: A Slap as a Greeting

Takumi had all the people he brought back arranged by robots.

Later, their jobs would be assigned collectively. Fortunately, Miori Shiba was already familiar with this kind of work, so Takumi didn't have to say much.

"I'll introduce you to someone you know soon," he said.

"For now, help me sort a few things out. Come with me."

He opened a spatial rift and disappeared.

Rinko followed reluctantly. She had no choice.

When they appeared again, they were in a quiet residential neighborhood.

She looked around, puzzled.

Without further explanation, Takumi summoned the Konno family from the imaginary space.

"From now on, this house belongs to the Konno family," he said. "Get familiar with the area. Your neighbors are also from another world—just arrived yesterday. They probably know your daughter."

He looked at Yuuki as he said this.

The family froze.

What? Someone in another world knows us?

Did they have relatives they didn't know about?

Too shocking!

Takumi handed them personal terminals and identification cards, then prepared to leave.

"Take some time to get familiar with things. I'll be going now."

He left them to explore.

Yuuki and her sister would live and study here now.

Maybe Gabriel might take an interest and turn them into angels or something.

Then he took Rinko to a large research facility.

This was the lab Takumi had built for Sumire Muroto and the other scientists.

It spanned an enormous area, housing many who were already working on integrating the data Takumi had brought from various worlds.

Here, most of the scientific staff had already been relocated.

Rinko followed him into the facility, still curious.

A research institute... but the security felt oddly lax.

No armed guards, just scientists and cleaning robots.

Wasn't a place like this supposed to be heavily guarded?

With questions filling her mind, she followed Takumi into the inner labs.

They arrived where Sumire Muroto was eating.

Seeing Takumi, she blinked in confusion.

"Up all night again?" Takumi asked.

He pointed at the dark circles under her eyes.

"Just woke up," she said casually, downing a potion and letting out a burp.

One gulp and her energy was back.

Takumi could only sigh.

"She one of the new recruits from another world?" Sumire asked, glancing at Rinko.

"Yeah. Another world. Also brought someone else," Takumi replied. "That guy's special. Deleted his own body and uploaded his consciousness online."

Takumi pulled out a server.

Sumire's interest peaked.

"So badass?"

Rinko's eyes widened. She already knew who he meant.

Takumi activated his powers and drew the consciousness from the server.

A moment later, a physical body began forming.

Before long, Kayaba Akihiko stood before them.

Rinko instantly understood.

"It's done," Takumi said. "He's yours now. Let him research here. As for your Aincrad, I'll prepare it later."

With that, he vanished.

The three remaining stood in silence.

"This is the other world?" Akihiko asked, looking at Sumire.

"Yeah," she replied, not looking up. "Ask the AI if you've got questions. There's a computer over there."

She resumed eating.

Akihiko was overwhelmed.

Then—

Slap!

Rinko struck him across the face.

The impact left him stunned.

She glared at him.

"Why did you do it?"

She meant the Death Game.

Sumire glanced over, instantly alert.

Ooh. Drama.

Was Takumi trying to entertain her with live soap opera?

Not bad.

Akihiko winced from the sting.

But in that moment—he knew.

He was truly alive again.
