Zhongli had watched Hu Tao grow up—
Teaching her many things along the way.
Hu Tao was always sharp as a child:
At three, she could recite classics while doing handstands.
At six, she started skipping school to nap in coffins.
By eight, she was already learning all the rites for funerals and burials.
At ten, she began to take her own commissions.
When her grandfather passed away at thirteen, she and Zhongli became each other's only family.
Zhongli had been working as a guest consultant at Wangsheng Funeral Parlor for as long as Hu Tao could remember. Her grandfather had personally invited him.
Much of what she learned growing up, she learned from Zhongli.
That's why their relationship was almost more like father and daughter.
Calling Hu Tao the "princess of Liyue" was no exaggeration at all.
But Hu Tao wasn't about to get hung up on all that.
"This is your territory, so find me a good spot, will you?"
"I need to rebuild Wangsheng Funeral Parlor from scratch—
And pick the best feng shui to lay all my ancestors to rest."
"Seriously, you just stuffed me over here in such a rush!"
Right now, Hu Tao was truly speechless.
Completely at a loss.
Zhongli hadn't explained anything to her—
He just shoved her in with Ningguang and the rest.
Too much!
She couldn't help but wonder if he just wanted to avoid her questions and conveniently shipped her off.
"No problem!" Takumi replied.
"I'll take you all over to the new Liyue sector for site selection."
"All the houses there are already built."
"Keqing knows this place inside out."
"Miss Ningguang, I'll talk more business with you tomorrow. For tonight, just get comfortable and explore."
With that, Takumi opened a spatial passage.
Everyone who saw this was amazed.
"Alright, let's move out!" Keqing immediately took charge, leading everyone through the portal.
"Settle in first; we'll discuss everything else tomorrow."
Meanwhile, Takumi had the robots begin processing everyone's new identification cards.
Hu Tao was also sent over with the group.
Wangsheng Funeral Parlor would be rebuilt as well—the foundations, and even much of the decor, were already set by Zhongli.
So Hu Tao could move in right away.
They'd be given terminals, too—let everyone familiarize themselves tonight.
Ningguang was full of curiosity about this world—
She couldn't wait to learn everything.
As soon as Keqing handed over her terminal, it instantly connected to this world's network. There was so much information to dig through online.
Her plan: settle in, then start researching this world in depth.
Takumi led everyone to the newly constructed Liyue City—
And followed through himself, since there were still people inside the spatial device he hadn't released yet.
Now was the perfect time to let them all out.
With so many newcomers, it was only natural they attracted attention.
Locals, upon seeing familiar faces, lit up and came over to greet them.
Those who had just arrived looked around in awe—
"This is exactly like Liyue!"
"There's Wanmin Restaurant!"
"And the teahouse!"
"That's my house?"
"Wow, it's brand new!"
Everyone gasped at how faithfully everything had been recreated.
"Come with me," Keqing told Ningguang.
"We'll be living here for now—let's get settled first."
Ningguang quickly followed after Keqing.
After making sure everyone was accounted for, Takumi left them to get settled in and get used to the new environment.
With this batch's arrival, New Liyue instantly grew lively.
Robots began helping everyone process their IDs and related documents.
Returning home, Takumi messaged Zhongli in the group chat:
Takumi: [@Zhongli, everyone's settled in.]
[But why did you send Hu Tao, too?]
He was honestly curious—why had Zhongli shipped Hu Tao over so suddenly?
Zhongli: [I'm really not great at explaining things to her...]
[After she found out who I am, she would've had a million questions.]
[So I just let her go with everyone else.]
Zhongli kept it brief.
Takumi couldn't help but laugh and cry at once. So you just sent her away because you didn't want to explain?
Takumi: [Emm... Only you, really.]
[Well, whatever.]
[She'll probably be picking a spot to re-bury her family graves tomorrow.]
To be honest, Takumi was speechless. Only Hu Tao would think to migrate all her ancestors at once.
Fujiwara Chika: [If I decide to immigrate, I'll definitely bring my ancestors, too! I'll have Hu Tao find the best feng shui spot for me!]
Sagiri: [Should I talk this over with my mom?]
Miori Shiba: [Family graves...]
A lot of the group chat was dumbfounded by this new problem. If they immigrated, what about their ancestral graves?
Maybe they should take a trip home first?
Takumi: [Heh~! Forget about it. Don't overthink.]
[Hu Tao's way of thinking just isn't the same as yours.]
Really, what was everyone thinking?
Maybe they'd need to add a new service for future immigrants—helping people transfer their family graves, too.
That's right: immigrate with all your ancestors!
Takumi posted another message in the group:
Takumi: [Hey, anyone want to immigrate?]
[You can bring your whole ancestral line, too.]
Kudou Asuka: [Now that you mention it, what should I do about my family graves?!]
She had just entered the group and saw everyone discussing this.
Was this really a good thing to be worrying about?
Her family had ancestral graves, too.
At the unnamed community base, Kudou Asuka sat in confusion.
"What's up, Asuka?"
Kasukabe You looked at her in puzzlement.
Even Black Rabbit turned her gaze over, joined by Izayoi.
"We've come to Little Garden, but what about the family graves?"
"Did you guys ever think about that?"
At this, everyone fell silent.
Black Rabbit was left completely dumbfounded.
What on earth?
How had the conversation turned to ancestral graves all of a sudden?
Did Asuka just get homesick?
Was she planning to go home?
Black Rabbit stole a glance at Asuka—if she really wanted to go home, things would get complicated.
Even Izayoi was stunned at Asuka's question.
"Emm… I never thought of it from that angle," he muttered, unable to hold back his own comment.
