Takumi taking the sisters away was just something he did along the way.
If Misaka Mikoto didn't want her sisters to leave, then Takumi simply wouldn't take them. He'd just copy the 100,000 yellow books, have some fun here, and go back. After all, the purpose of coming here was already accomplished. Next, he just needed to copy the yellow books from Index.
"Then I'll leave the sisters to you."
Misaka Mikoto's face turned serious. She entrusted her sisters to him.
Takumi silently gave a big thumbs up.
"Leave it to me. I'll take good care of your sisters!"
He was serious too. He'd definitely look after them properly.
Kuroko looked at the two of them. She was baffled.
"Wait, wait, what sisters? What are you two even talking about? Misaka-senpai, what's going on?"
Kuroko was totally confused. What were they talking about?
"You don't need to know about this. Mind your own business!"
Mikoto clearly didn't intend to explain. There were some things she didn't plan to tell Kuroko.
Uiharu Shiri was also surprised, but since Mikoto said so, she didn't ask further.
Everyone continued enjoying their meal, celebrating Uiharu's birthday.
Once they were full, Ruiko took Takumi and Bronya on a tour around Academy City. She brought them to places she liked, or famous anime landmarks. Takumi visited them all.
Mikoto, however, wasn't very enthusiastic along the way. Her mind was completely occupied with her sisters.
"I'll act with you tonight. Let's get all the sisters out."
"There's no need to worry so much."
Seeing her like that, Takumi couldn't help but offer comfort.
Because Takumi's voice directly appeared in Mikoto's mind, she was confused for a moment.
This was...? The same ability as that guy? And even stronger?
Before she could react, Takumi had already invaded her mind.
"What kind of ability is this? Just like that annoying guy's?"
She slowly turned to look at Takumi.
"No need to panic. I won't mess with your memories."
"Besides, do you think I don't already know about you?"
I've even seen your doujins, Takumi thought—but of course, he wouldn't say that out loud.
Mikoto glanced at him.
He says that, but having someone suddenly speak in your head still feels weird.
Especially since it's an ability similar to that awful woman's—being able to read minds. Not being nervous would be more surprising.
Still, Mikoto figured Takumi was mysterious and powerful, even though they had only just met. She could do nothing about it.
Forget it. She didn't want to think about it anymore.
Let it be. Whatever happens, happens.
She should be focusing on tonight's experiment involving her sisters.
"Alright. Let's act together tonight!!"
"Please help me teach that bastard a lesson."
As she said that, Mikoto's face turned grim. She wanted nothing more than to beat Accelerator to a pulp.
If someone could help her, that would be ideal.
"No problem. We'll give him a good beating later."
"For a guy like Accelerator, you should at least give him two solid kicks."
At that, Takumi's face lit up with delight.
Eat, sleep, beat up Accelerator—mandatory activities for any world-hopper in this setting, right?
Just like how you have to kill Zouken if you land in the Nasuverse.
Since he came to this world, he couldn't leave without beating up Accelerator at least once.
The group strolled around Academy City until late afternoon. When the time came, they said their goodbyes.
Takumi and Bronya checked into a hotel. They booked a big room and settled in.
Bronya couldn't help but ask Takumi,
"So, what's your plan later? Are you going to kill Accelerator?"
She was curious. What was Takumi planning to do to Accelerator? Was he going to take him out?
"I'm going to beat him up—badly."
"Only through a proper thrashing can he learn that the world is harsh and he isn't invincible."
"It's not a big deal."
Accelerator? Takumi wasn't too concerned.
Just beat him up thoroughly and take the sisters away.
Oh, and he wanted to see if it was Last Order or Accelerator herself.
He was curious about that.
"I thought you'd kill him."
Bronya was surprised. She assumed Takumi would just take Accelerator out entirely.
"No need. Whether he dies or not doesn't really matter."
Takumi rubbed his chin. Killing Accelerator? No, that wasn't necessary.
"What about Index? Are we just going to run in, copy her library, and leave?"
Bronya tilted her head toward Takumi. What was the plan there?
"We'll hang around for a few more days before heading back."
"I still want to see Little Bee."
Takumi chuckled.
How could he visit this world without seeing Misaki Shokuhou?
"That's three years in prison to start with! She's a middle schooler!!"
Bronya snorted. You better not commit a crime!
Even though Misaki Shokuhou looked mature, she was still technically a middle school student.
Takumi rolled his eyes.
"Crime? What crime? Look, I've already got someone here. Why would I need to do anything shady?"
He looked at Bronya with a teasing smile.
Alone in a room—why not have a little fun?
Bronya was stunned for a second.
"Wait a minute. What do you want to do?"
Her silver eyes filled with both caution and a hint of anticipation.
Takumi noticed immediately.
He moved beside her and gently lifted her chin.
"Big ducky, want to date me?"
"Let's just skip to the good part."
Hearing those words, Bronya was stunned for a moment, then bit down hard on Takumi's arm out of embarrassment and irritation.
After the bite, she spoke up with clear frustration:
"That's all you wanted to say to me??"
Alright then, so that's how you want to play it?
Takumi didn't give her a chance to stay mad. He pulled her into a hug.
Bronya, held tightly by Takumi, eventually let go and muttered,
"Go take a bath first!"
When she said that, their eyes met.
Bronya quickly turned her head away, avoiding his gaze.
Her heart pounded wildly.
"No rush. Let's take care of business first."
Takumi ruffled Bronya's hair.
He wasn't in a hurry. They still had a mission tonight.
